We are returning guests from last year, and although some things have changed, one thing has remained the same: the amazing team at the beach bar. A special thank-you to Jackson, who was always extremely helpful, and to Alina, who also provided excellent service.

Do not book this resort if you're expecting anything close to a genuine 5-star experience. The room and spa were fine — that's the entire list of positives. Everything else was a mess.

The buffet was cheap, repetitive, poorly presented, and served lukewarm night after night. Anything remotely edible vanished within minutes, leaving picked-over scraps for everyone else. Dessert was the same tub of artificial-tasting cream every single evening for a full week — not one moment of variety or effort. The dining room was chronically understaffed: tables sat piled with dirty plates, cutlery was routinely missing, queues for basic "fresh" options dragged on, and astonishingly, we were never once offered an alcoholic drink with a meal at an all-inclusive resort. The à la carte restaurant was no better — I ordered a "fresh fruit platter" and was handed sliced apple and pineapple drenched in what tasted like cheap children's ice cream sauce. It was almost funny, if it wasn't so pathetic for the price.

Between meals, there was next to nothing — a grubby little fridge of clingfilm sandwiches by the pool, and absolutely no food at all at the beach bar, all week. The mini mart barely stocked anything, certainly nothing for kids wanting a snack or an ice lolly. Staffing at the pool and beach was so thin that plastic cups, dirty towels, and rubbish piled up as the day wore on. The toilets by the pool were frequently disgusting, and on one occasion completely unusable. On top of that, a serious, unmanaged wasp infestation made the Ananas pool bar a no-go zone entirely.

The kids' club was an afterthought — a cramped glass box on the third floor of the main building — and our child wanted nothing to do with it. In the end, we were paying €40 return in taxis, more than once, just to escape the resort and get a proper hot meal somewhere with actual service.

This resort trades on a 5-star name and 5-star pricing while delivering something far closer to 1-star, at best, on food and service. We left feeling ripped off, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
