We were welcomed for a late night check in by welcoming staff. They provided a snack for us, even if they had shut down the restaurant, as we were so hungry. Peter, the owner was making us feel most welcome.
Then it is Toula! She is not a force to be reckoned with! Never have i met such a authority and a force of nature! She is a waiter who clearly makes the wheels go round there. She keeps the young staff in check, and has a memory like no other. You don't mess with Toula. She will let you know if you are over her boundaries (like mixing drink orders in with the food orders randomly) there is an order to everything she does. I immediately straighten my back, sat decently on my seat, bought tomahawk steak because she wanted me to, learned Greek greetings and showed myself from my best behaviour when she was in my vicinity. A small nod of approval or a smile from her, made mee feel like i won the lottery and my heart fluttered. Toula can sell us anything, anytime! We need to go back here, so she can keep us in line. We loved our stay! Thank you!❤️ Word of advise; don't test her. Do what she says. Toula knows best. 🙂❤️
Great hotel , the breakfast was fabulous, they did a creatan party , dance, fire works at first day , it was fabulous.
Our third stay at Cretan Dreams – and it feels like coming home!
This was our third time staying at Cretan Dreams, and once again, we had an absolutely wonderful experience. The hotel is immaculate, the pool is fantastic, and being right next to the beach makes it the perfect location.
What really sets Cretan Dreams apart, though, is the incredible team. Petros, Despina and everyone else remembered us from our previous visits and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. They genuinely care about their guests and always go the extra mile to make sure you are looked after. The customer service really is second to none.
Our room was fantastic and the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice and great quality.
One of the highlights of our stay was the Cretan Night on Tuesday. The food was amazing, particularly the meats, and the music, dancing and atmosphere made it such a memorable evening. It’s a wonderful way to experience some authentic Cretan hospitality and culture.
It’s quite rare to find a hotel where you feel genuinely valued as a returning guest, but Cretan Dreams manages to do exactly that. We feel so well looked after every time we stay, which is why we keep coming back.

An absolutely fantastic stay, loved every minute. The staff are fantastic, so welcoming, and helpful. A special shout out to Mani, Toula and Christina, who are a credit to Peter! The bar is fantastic, as is the food! The A La Carte menu, is superb - every meal, was beautiful. The hotel is great, and the view across the bay, is second to none. We loved it that much, we booked to come back, the day we got home. Thanks again to the whole team, at Cretan Dream
We stayed at Cretan Dream during what must have been a very busy time. Overall, it was a nice stay, but our experience felt closer to an 8 than the 9.4+ rating we had expected based on the reviews and the price we paid. Our first night unfortunately started with the least enjoyable meal and service we had during our trip to Greece. Our room was also quite a distance from the elevator—about 15 rooms down—and seemed to be one of the furthest rooms from the sea despite booking a sea-view room. The room itself had a few issues. The shower temperature constantly changed from extremely hot to ice cold, and the bathroom lighting was very poor. The pool area was nice, although another couple jokingly pointed out all the missing mosaic tiles, and once they mentioned it, we started noticing them everywhere. Breakfast offered a large selection, and the staff throughout the hotel were always very nice and friendly. We understand there is a newer section of the property, which may explain some of the exceptionally high reviews. Perhaps the experience is quite different depending on which section and room you receive. The section we stayed in simply felt a little more dated and worn than we expected from the photos and ratings. We traveled around Greece for 17 nights and stayed at several different properties, so we had quite a bit to compare it to. Cretan Dream is certainly a nice hotel, but based on our particular stay, we would personally place it closer to an 8/10 experience rather than a 9.4+.
