This attractive hotel is situated in a small village called Kato Stalos and it is only 7 km away from the city of Chania, 19 km from the port of Souda and 23 km from airport. This establishment promises guests an unforgettable stay. Guests who may have forgotten to pack certain necessities can pay a visit to the conveniently located on-site supermarket. All rooms are tastefully decorated and fully equipped with a small kitchen and have a balcony which provides an excellent view of the garden or the sea. Guests can go for a cooling dip in the swimming pool which has a children's section as well, ensuring a pleasant and safe swim for all. In the evenings, guests can sip on a refreshing drink at the cocktail bar which offers a panoramic view of the surroundings.
Take time to pamper yourself with a visit to the full-service spa. You're sure to appreciate the recreational amenities, including a hot tub, a sauna and a 24-hour fitness centre. Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless Internet access, babysitting (surcharge) and an arcade/games room.
The rooms were clean. Staff is really friendly and Jimmy at the mainbar is awesome, he makes the best drinks! The atmosphere is absolutely great, I recommend visiting <3
The hotel is good, the staff and food are good. Jimmy at the main bar is a great person. Jimmy also makes the best drinks/cocktails. Jimmy is the best customer service person in the world.
PROS (Mainly do not relate to hotel) - Crete is beautiful Location reasonable - good selection of local restaurants Lovely Beach (lifeguards monitoring) Swimming pools nice Some staff pleasant (Tonia & Petros at small pool bar were fantastic, others not so good/friendly) Room clean but dated Breakfast very good nice selection, fresh and good tasting Quiet apartments all have balcony shutters
CONS - Hidden costs - 10 euros per person per sunbed on the hotel allocated beach front for residents (never have I known a 4* hotel charge residents for sunbeds on the beach! Non-residents maybe, but not residents!) Some areas of resort shabby (hotel roof hole with a wet floor sign on the stairs all the time - block 7) Main pool bar, very slow service and not so pleasant staff Poolside very slippery and dangerous Some poolside sunbeds old and partially broken Strong smell of marijuanas on outskirts of hotel/ near apartments Some derelict buildings on site part of block 9 and a private house in the middle of resort is in state of disrepair Manage EVA very rude and patronising, poor customer service skills when concerns raised regarding quality of Creta Palm. Bad attitude, sets tone for other staffs behaviours.
I have stayed all over the world, this is not a 4* hotel, whilst some aspects of the Creta Palm were pleasant, others were definitely less pleasant.
