I Resort Beach Hotel and Spa

This is not a 5 star hotel. One restaurant where you had breakfast, lunch and dinner. Got bored of the same food so ended up paying to eat out. Thought there were a number of restaurants to choose from but there aren't. There was one other restaurant included in all inclusive but it was more of a cafe setting, not al la carte, very rushed service and not what we have been used to on previous TUI 5 star holidays. Rooms were small but modern and clean but hardly no storage to hang your clothes. Fridge wasnt re stocked the whole time we were there. We were told we couldnt put our towels on sunbeds before 9am but everyday all beds taken by 9am so started going down earlier. Beds are very crammed in around pool and even more so at the beach. All other bars and hotels seem to have more space for beds along the beach. Whole hotel is in great need of a refresh, pictures look like they must have been taken years ago. Location was great we enjoyed walks along the beach and around Stalis. Only 5 mins taxi to Malia and 55 mins bus journey to Heraklion. Lots of good bars and restaurants in Stalis. Staff all very friendly. B&B would have been better for variety. This hotel would be great for a weekend but not for a weeks holiday. All too crammed, only one bar in the evening, not enough facilities and eating at same place everyday. Had a great holiday but because we ate and drank outside of the hotel a number of times.

Fabulous hotel with two pools either side of the hotel. One spacious pool, rectangular to do lengths - if that is your thing - but was also great just for a dip. This pool was probably better for adults in their 20s and 30s with a poolside bar and music (not too loud) Second pool was where we found are sunbeds - never a problem getting a couple - plenty to go around. More of a family vibe at this pool with daily entertainment program but not in your face, very relaxed. Big shout out to Adrianna and also Mathilde and Oliwia who between them kept us fit with yoga, water aerobics, volleyball, table tennis, darts etc. etc. Honestly Adrianna - fantastic and a good enough reason alone to re-book next year - hope you will be there. Breakfast is ten out of ten. We went half board and had no problem swapping the evening meal for lunch time which we did on 10 of our 12 night stay. Local restaurants are equally brill and not to be missed. All in all the rooms, the staff everywhere, the ethos and the ambience could not be improved upon. Had a relaxing massage and again - perfect. See you next year. My wife would prefer next week!

I came to this hotel at the beginning of August this year with my parents. We all had a wonderful time. Most members of staff were super friendly and helpful, with one or two a little foul but nothing to complain about. Upon our arrival, they checked us in and had someone carry our luggage to our room. He was very helpful and shown us how things in our room worked, with 3 plates of food wrapped for us in our room as we arrived around midnight so all restaurants were closed, which I thought was a lovely touch after a long day of travelling! Also, the bottle of wine and bottles of soft drinks were free to have in the room too! Each morning, the cleaners would always give us a big bottle of water which again, was a helpful added touch. This might sound super snobby but being given bottles of water instead of standard ‘help yourself’ water stations as part of the all-inclusive package was reassuring! The table service was good but as anywhere, had to wait a short while to reorder when busy which is understandable. Having the beach on our doorstep were beautiful, even though we much preferred sunbathing at the infinity pool than the beach. We enjoyed some wholesome long walks across the front of the sea which held many amazing views. There is a waterpark not too far away which was great fun and if you book it as part of a jet2 package, travel is included in it. I would defo recommend the watercity waterpark as there is another one which is apparently… really not good! The rooms were cleaned and tidied to a standard expectation which we were happy with. As a celiac, the hotel went over and beyond with their help - each morning / lunchtime / evening I requested, the head chef / su chef would come out and show me around to identify what was and what was not gluten free. Also, upon request, they would make me gluten free pizza or pasta which tasted great! The pizza took about 40 minutes to come out, which I understand to ensure gluten free but just to bear in mind so maybe send someone to order it in before getting a table so you’re not waiting around for it! Each morning on request, they would always bring me out a plate of gluten free bread, biscuits, cereals, muffins etc which was super sweet :) Also, they don’t advertise this but something extra special they do for all guests going out on day trips - they make a ‘packed lunch’ bag up for you if you are not going to be at the restaurant for a meal which i thought was an excellent addition to their service - just order it at reception! Also, they gave me a gluten free lunch bag for both the water park day but also for my travelling home day as we all know airports are rubbish for selling proper gluten free food! So I greatly appreciated this a lot. A massive recognition and thanks to Maria for her personalised touch and excellent bar service, the head chef for dedicating the time to walk me through the food options and Christina for her exceptional guidance and support on a daily basis :) Overall, a quality 5 star hotel which I would 110% recommend and defo visit again!
