Great staff. Cant do enough to help. Much of the food is excellent but catered for a Germanic leaning. Shame there isn’t more grilled fish. Salads are amazing. Breakfast also excellent. Good local restaurants if you want to get off the reservation. The spa is excellent. Massage with Tekka was one of the best I have ever had. The hotel is Great value for money. Rooms are clean but the standard rooms are quite small. Sink right next to the bed. As long as you don’t spend too much time in the room then not an issue. You have the seemingly standard comedy morning rush for towels on beach and pool beds. The signs say no reserving beds before 8am but most are gone by 7.45am. The hotel gardens and vibe is excellent. Subject to where your room is you may be woken up frequently between 2am to 5 am by the Malia teens on motorbikes and quad bikes reviving and racing. Overall a great, well run hotel. An oasis in an “interesting” area. Clean small beach.
The hotel exceeded our expectations. When we arrived, our room was not ready, but instead we were given a room with a private pool for the first night. What an amazing welcome — definitely a 10/10!
Overall, it is a great hotel. The rooms are clean and well maintained, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. I would especially like to mention Maria from the restaurant, who was absolutely wonderful.
The food was good overall, although I think it depends on the kitchen shift. There were days when it was really delicious, while on other days it was a little less impressive.
The only downside of the hotel is the sun loungers around the pool. Many guests reserve several loungers and then don't even come to use them, which makes it difficult for others to find a place.
The hotel is conveniently located close to Heraklion Airport, making it very easy to reach. The area is also very family-friendly and ideal for holidays with children. The sea is just nearby, and there is a lovely promenade with plenty of traditional tavernas, restaurants, and shops within walking distance.
We also had the opportunity to use the SPA services, which I highly recommend. A special mention goes to Aris, the physiotherapist — he is very professional, polite, and clearly an expert in his field.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily recommend this hotel!
The hotel is great. Riri gives the best massage! Must come.. super
We had a wonderful stay at Blue Sea Beach Affiliated by Meliá, and it truly exceeded our expectations. Our room was large, spacious, and came with a lovely terrace overlooking the garden. The gardens themselves are generous and beautifully maintained — and surprisingly, no mosquitoes at all. The hotel has everything a family could wish for: the sea is just steps away, and the facilities are well thought out.The pool area can get lively with loud music, but there are also plenty of quiet corners — especially around our accommodation area, where we enjoyed total peace.A special mention goes to Tekka, who has extraordinary hands. The Cretan massage she gave me was absolutely fantastic. Also, the interaction with Despina was exceptional — warm, friendly, and professional. The Greek à la carte restaurant deserves a solid 10/10. Delicious food, great service, and a beautiful atmosphere. We also appreciated the kids’ playground. Even though it’s officially for children aged 4 and up, my 2‑year‑old was welcomed as long as I stayed with him. It was a lovely surprise, even if we discovered it a bit late.Everything was truly at a superlative level — and we’ve stayed in several 5‑star hotels before. Blue Sea Beach stands out for its hospitality, comfort, and the genuine warmth of its staff.Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a relaxing yet vibrant stay in Crete.
Highly recommand Best massage experience with Tekka
Thank you
