This charming beach hotel is situated at the end of an 11-kilometre long beach, which stretches to the historical town of Rethymnon. The area is rich in attractions and places of interest like the St.Nikolas Church, or the famous mountain caves nearby. Whether they have spent the day lazing at the beach or exploring the region, guests are sure to find peace and relaxation in the cool air-conditioned rooms, complete with large balconies with sea or garden views. The hotel is especially popular among those travelling with children as the outdoor area has a kids' swimming pool, a kids' club and a games room. In addition to delicious meals, the restaurant offers also Greek evenings, disco nights and various entertainment programmes.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have enjoyed 11 days in Begeti Bay Hotel, and it was a great experience. That was the cleanest hotel we have been, with a friendly hardworking staff. When you have dinner it comes with a wonderful red horizon thanks to the sunset, after which you have an amazing look at the ocean and lights of the coastline. The only thing which could possibly be a negative is that you don’t have a sandy beach next to the hotel, instead you have stones and boulders with their own charm. For us that wasn’t a deterrent as the nice, clean pool was enough. The food is amazing, whoever is the cook, he/she is a magician, 11 nights there and the food wasn’t repetitive (I’m not counting breakfasts, they are boring everywhere), different stuff for picky eaters, vegetarians etc, with loads of Greek cuisine. I would like to thank a few of the staff which I was able to get their names (I’m sure I will write the names wrongly though, so sorry for that): the lovely reception ladies: Despina, Amalina, Stella, always with a smile and ready to help (just like their colleagues which I didn’t catch the names). The restaurant staff, Lija and Milena and their colleagues who worked hard to provide a great experience while we have been eating the fabulous meals. Martyna and Anter who have been a funny and always cheerful pool bar staff. The maids who have been doing a splendid job. And last not least Mr Nektarios who welcomed us with food and a cold beer deep in the night when we arrived. To summarise this is a hotel to which you want to return, and meet the nice people again while spending a relaxing holiday.
Great value, food amazing lots of choice , the staff very friendly and caring. The location is beautiful out of the way but you can get a cheap bus too larger locations.
It was the best holiday Ive ever had, made my birthday special 🥰 Peaceful hotel, stunning view, polite and helpful staff, highly recommend.
We had an excellent 10 days. A very chilled and easy place with exceptional staff. : professional, efficient and friendly. There’s a very good selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner and a good range of all- inclusive drinks prepared and served with care and a smile! Thank you. It’s a short walk to the sandy beach and the Begeti loungers by the rocky beach are great for late afternoon sun and the superb sunsets. We used the bus to get into Rethymno and also to get to and enjoy 24 hours in Chania. Memorable.
We had a lovely and peaceful week at Begeti Bay! The pool/sunbeds were great, alongside the view. The room was good, we didn’t spend too much time in it but it had everything we needed - including a complementary bottle of wine! The location was as expected for us - there wasn’t much around, but we wanted a quiet/chilled holiday so it was no issue for us. In saying that, the reception staff were great for helping us find the bus stop close by/purchasing a bus ticket for us to see Rethymno which was lovely. The food was good and varied, it was quite salty at times but that could be up to personal taste so not an issue, just noting it. We never really had issues here, the only things we thought would make this hotel even better would be to have some more seated areas inside. The parasols outside in the seated area don’t always offer shade and so we found it hard at times to cool off.
The main selling point was the staff. All of the staff were so warm and welcoming, and made our stay brilliant. Anter deserves a special mention as he was super friendly and made us laugh so many times.
