The Grand Leoniki resort offers guests an opportunity to relax in the sun or under palms. For fun, swim in the pool and enjoy water sports, or unwind in the bars, restaurant or snack bar. Dip into one of the 3 outdoor swimming pools or enjoy other recreational amenities, which include bicycles to rent. This aparthotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and a banquet hall.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
It is a very relaxing hotel. The staff are very kind and helpful. Everyone that works there has a smile .We stayed in a family apartment which was very spacious. We found the way the bedroom was laid out strange. There were 3 beds in the room but the 2 beds put together to make a double were pushed up against a wall so only one person could get out of bed easily. The headboard is fixed to the wall so this is a permanent arrangement. This is not convenient for older people. We are not OAP’s but were challenged so had to move the beds. We could see other rooms had the same arrangements so not just our room. The photos don’t match our experience .There was only one electrical socket by the bed. I suggest you bring an extension lead which enables you to charge your phones. The bathroom needed an upgrade as the shower was over a very narrow short bath and not easy to get in or out of. We think the hotel is upgrading rooms in sections so maybe this will all improve soon. We stayed half board and the food was very fresh and good but there was limited vegetarian options and fish was just white fish never named except the one day it was salmon. The pools were nice and plenty of comfy sun beds. There are sun beds dedicated to the hotel on the beach All in all the stay was good but some work is needed to improve the apartment a bit of design thought is all it needs.
All of the staff at Casa Adele went above and beyond to welcome us and help us enjoy our recent holiday. They greeted us on arrival at 1.30 am, carrying our cases and directing us to comfy seats to check in, then quickly taking us to our apartment, where there were welcome drinks and snacks, including gluten free for my husband who is coeliac. The care and attention to detail continued throughout our stay, for example, providing guests with umbrellas and ponchos on the one night it rained - much appreciated. There was plenty of choice for breakfasts and evening meals, with catering staff on hand to advise on gluten free options. The bar stocks GF beer, a definite bonus for my husband! The main pool was lovely and clean, and big enough for a good swimming workout. It was lovely to share with a range of age groups and nationalities. We also enjoyed a Tui excursion to Knossos Palace and Heraklion, with a very good guide, as well as exploring Rethymno ourselves on foot and on local buses. The hop on hop off bus is good value, as it includes interesting stops up in the hills, as well as key visitor points within the town. We enjoyed hiking in Mily Gorge, where there is a great cafe/restaurant. The path is steep in places, but well worth a visit, and you can take it at your own pace. The management at Casa Adele seem very spproachable and hands on, and every staff member was friendly, welcoming and helpful. I will certainly look for Grecotels in future, in the hope that the ethos is the same across all the group.
This holiday surpassed expectations. Accommodation was excellent The staff were all genuinely helpful and had a friendly approach Everything was very clean both inside and out The buffet food was varied and good plenty of choices The pools were lovely with enough sun beds the private beach area was a bonus We we’re only there for 1 week wish it had been longer
This hotel is a wonderful, quiet place if you want to explore Crete. The staff are cheerful and make the atmosphere so peaceful. We spent a week here, and the two local ladies at reception(sorry, i'm not sure of the names) gave us the absolute best tips for exploring the island by car. Access to the national road is incredibly easy, making the location very convenient. The rooms are nice, though there is a little room for improvement. The food is delicious—even the lunch boxes they prepare are great!
This was our second consecutive year staying in the swim-up maisonette. We chose Adele again, not only for its fantastic environment and facilities, but above all for the warm and helpful staff. They truly make us feel at home and give the hotel its unique, boutique family atmosphere.
