Inspired by the ideal family holiday and having 15 years of experience in the hotel business, including the award-winning 5* Minoa Palace, we designed Euphoria Resort, with great care and love – a purely Premium All Inclusive Family Resort. The luxurious Euphoria resort is situated far from the fast pace of the city, along the sea shore of Kolymbari, 23 km west of Chania, Crete and 30 minutes away from Chania International Airport. It provides high-quality infrastructure and hospitality services for your family, giving emphasis to happiness, rejuvenation as well as healthy diet and gastronomy. We combine all the pleasures you want from a top 5 star hotel and at the same time, we invite you to discover the real Greek meaning of “well-being”.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Extremely clean and well maintained hotel
On arrival we were informed not to reserve sunbeds and there were signs everywhere
It was great to see towels being removed and to have a laugh when the waitress came round asking if we wanted a drink to enjoy the show when the culprits came back to find their towels had been removed
Well done - I wish more hotels would do this
Water park great for the kids - unusual and novel sells service ice cream maker
Staff everywhere helpful and nothing too much trouble
We had a swim up room 202 - sun arrives 1.47 each day and stays until dark - perfect
We just came back from a week holiday here and it was perfect.
This is TRUE family friendly! We have a very fussy eater 7 year old boy and he was able to always get what he wanted (plain pasta and nuggets mainly) and we were able to enjoy the most amazing dinners.
This is an exceptionally clean resort, with extremely attentive staff. We stayed in a swim up junior suite and the room is great. It is an open space when it comes to the bathroom so if you have an older child you may need to plan showers to ensure privacy. There is a sliding door between the main bedroom and the living room/sofa bed area. We did get fresh fruit every day, and coffee pods refilled daily. And turn down as well. EVERY DAY!
We got greeted by a member of the staff as soon as we walked through the door. We were given a nice seat on a sofa with a cool towel. The check-in is done through the app, but you get a member of the staff to guide you through that and to show you around. I saw a few negative comments on this but we found it very relaxing and better than queuing at a reception desk. Of course someone took our cases to our room too.
The à la carte dinners make the experience even better. The service and food is exceptional. Because we had a signature room we were able to have dinner at the Psari (the fish restaurant), we went there on a Friday and they do a special night with wine pairing and set menu. That was special! And the best is that children are catered for with a much simpler food choice if that’s what they prefer.
The place gets mopped 100 times a day, the Pools are cleaned by someone with a brush daily. The water park is perfect and never busy. The lunch food choices make it feel like every day is different.
The guest relations team - they are the best. I emailed them prior to my arrival to ask for a couple of excursions and they planned it all for me. They were the best!
The beach is a pebble beach so you’ll need to bring some beach shoes and it does get deep quickly so I’d recommend a floating vest if you have children. They do provide drink service at the beach as well!
There is entertainment every night, and I found their app very easy and useful.
It is All Inclusive for real - absolutely nothing is extra and the drinks and cocktails are made with premium brand. At dinner at the à la carte restaurants, they even give you a wine list and you can choose whatever wine you like, and they give you the full bottle too!
The pool towel system also works very well, we have not had a problem with it and had them replaced several time in the day. I know I read a lot of bad comments on that but it honestly was absolutely fine for us.
I don’t really think you can find a better place for a true family holiday!
First of all read the tips for this hotel it really helps, email a week or 2 before you fly for your log in credentials and book in before you get here as it saves sitting and doing it after your flight, The staff here couldn’t do enough for us on arrival, you get a cold drink to relax but we were not keen on that(that was our preference though) we are a party of 5 with 2 grandparents a 4 year old and 2 early 20s, the staff moved us to have 2 rooms close together with was a great start, As soon as you download the app then you need to book the signature restaurants of which you are allowed 3 per weeks stay, The times are a little awkward to get what you want but we did ok, the first was the pan Asian at 7.30pm this was not for me personally but everyone else loved it including the 4 year old, then a few days later was the Greek restaurant at 6.30 pm which is a set menu on a meze so the starters all came together and you pick and choose what you fancy, the mains the same and the deserts, this is a must as the food is really good, we have 2 days left and will be going to the Italian on the last night at 7pm, The pool is great it’s huge there is a small paddling bit for the little ones and a deeper one behind, The sun beds are plentiful but we liked the ones between the 2 pools so had to get there a little earlier to secure these, anyone putting towels early and leaving them to go eat beware the hotel rightfully remove these to be fair to everyone, there are hydration stations everywhere that also have fizzy pop and a lager tap, The lager is Keo which is ok. The entertainment is there if you want it but our grandson just wanted to play in the pool all day, there are waterslides over the road but he was still too small for the big ones, although he loved playing on the small ones and also had an hour in the kids club which he also loved, we hired a car one day from the hotel which was 103 euros with a booster seat, we only went to chania old town and had a good walk round with some lunch half way, I honestly don’t get all the negative comments about this hotel, yes it’s a little pricey but you can get food all day and drinks all day there’s something for everyone, the main restaurant is plentiful and varied and you can’t fail to find something you like, on a Tuesday they do a street food theme by the beach which is brilliant a real party vibe for adults and kids, they had a magician and a dj with loads of different foods, Iv probably missed loads of stuff out but honestly we would return here again a really good holiday in a great setting, There are no bars near and only a couple of restaurants but why leave the hotel
We have just returned from a week at this lovely hotel and we really didn’t want to leave. We travelled with our 5 year old daughter who also loved it. We had booked a family suite with 2 bathrooms and a lovely big balcony. It’s advertised as restricted sea view but that’s only from the bedroom patio doors, it’s a clear view from the lounge. Mini bar stocked with a mix of alcoholic beer/spritz and soft drinks. There’s a coffee machine and the pods are topped up daily. The shower gels/shampoo etc smell really nice. Our room was very quiet with only the noise of the waves being heard at night. Great air con. Comfy beds. We found the food to be amazing. As we had booked a signature room, we had the use of Kouzina restaurant for breakfast which is so worth it. No queues. Not busy and the food is better in my opinion. Fruit, yoghurt, overnight oats, chia pots, smoothies, pastries, chef made omelettes and eggs a dozen ways. From what I could see the sausage and bacon didn’t look like your typical British meats but we don’t eat them anyway. We ate at Kouzina Greek restaurant on the first evening. On the beach. Meze meal which is lovely - lots of cheese! Wine good. Next night Psari fish restaurant which you can only book if you have a signature room. Lovely wine list. Amazing figs and cheese, salads, the biggest salmon steak I’ve ever had. Lovely desserts. This is at the side of Kouzina facing the beach. Next night was Chefs grill upstairs. Lovely steak. Good wine list. Giant desserts. Amazing. Il Piato the night after, again good wine list and an expansive selection of food. Kids options in all restaurants were pasta and sauce, nuggets and chips with chefs grill offering burgers and our child had carbonara in the Italian. Food for kids is great. Loads of options at breakfast. Pizza/chips/souvlaki or buffet in the restaurant. Hot and cold options with pasta, salads, meats etc. Kids club is great. Our little one loved it and made a few friends. The water park is fab. Kids entertainment is ok. Mini disco outside, magician after dinner then disco. There are evening shows which can be very good. The street food evening is really good. Outdoor bar and food. Magician as the sun goes down then turns into disco for everyone - we really enjoyed this. Glad she had light up crocs on as this made her easier to spot. Checked in online first using the app - no messing around a check in. No availability for the speciality restaurants on the app but the hotel staff got us in all of them at the time we wanted each day. We only ate in the buffet one evening. This was ok, I prefer to sit and be served and find it more relaxing. The wine is better in the à la carte restaurants too. Take the bus to Chania for the the markets and sights. The bus stop is outside the church across from the onsite shop. The hotel is immaculately clean. Loads of sunbeds even in the middle of August (leave it too late and you might not get one around the shallower end) Staff do entertain kids with pool disco and sports etc but there is a quiet end if you don’t want to listen to noise. The hotel has got a really chilled vibe. The singers and musicians that play in the lobby are nice to listen to whilst having a nice cocktail and relaxing. Il Piato. We booked this at 18:30pm. Due to the location of the restaurant we sat in the blazing sun until around 19:30 when it started to go down. For this reason I wouldn’t book until after 19:30 as it was uncomfortably hot.
Positives: A new hotel, beautiful gardens and pools. Rooms are beautiful, we had Signature rooms. Negatives: a lot of advertising is false. No seafood restaurant when we were there. Difficulty in booking the nice restaurants when you arrive. We had 3 Signature rooms, they promised our family rooms will be close together. It did not happen. The gym is very small. Entertainment at night nothing to talk about. The food was a big let down for us.
