Arina Beach Resort is one of the first built and most known hotels on Crete island, due to its characteristic architecture, its outstanding services and long history in the Cretan Hospitality industry. The sleek and fully renovated Arina Beach Resort on Crete's sun-drenched north coast focuses on total island relaxation. The resort is set in beautiful gardens, dotted with palm trees and colorful flowers, overlooking the stunning crystal clear waters of the Cretan sea. Consisting of its “trade mark” five-storey Main Building with all rooms offering marvelous sea views, and additional wings housing Rooms with Private pool or Sharing Pool, Double Rooms Sea Views, Beach Front Bungalows (some with Private Pool), & Family rooms either Maisonettes or simple Sea Views. There are large swimming pools (one heart shaped) meticulously lined with loungers backs onto the private beach with endless sea serenity beyond. In a specially designed area, supervised by trained personnel, kids will find exciting games by our Water Park to exhaust their energy, make new friends, laugh their hearts out and enjoy their vacation. Our main Restaurant serves up a wide range of buffet-style foods with vegetarian options, while Asian Buffer Restaurant' offers an enriched dinner buffet choice ‘Asian' style. Our guests may indulge their tastes in our A la Carte Restaurant as well. When the sun sets, the Daedalus Bar is the place to go, with cushioned sofas providing ample opportunity for wind down time. Our guests may sip on their favorite cocktail whilst enjoying the rich entertainment program at our Main Bar. For drinks during the day, they may head to the Pool Bar or the Beach Bar. Experience the professional touch of our spa-therapists. An elegant place for serenity, relaxation and natural self-healing providing an indoor swimming pool as well. last but definitely not least enjoy the warmth of the sun on our sandy beach!

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had a fabulous two week stay at Arina Beach Hotel. The hotel is stylish and clean and in a beautiful beachfront location. It is very family friendly with a hard-working animation team (special thanks to Mona and Oscar who treated our son like a mini celebrity and made his holiday extra special).
The pools are lovely and the splash park was perfect for our four year old. The sea was quite rough most days due to the wind but was a beautiful temperature and shallow so very safe for swimming even with the waves.
There was some pressure on sunbeds and we found that we struggled to get any unless we put our towels down on our way to breakfast which we would rather not do. I think if the hotel enforced their no reservation policy this might help.
The food was outstanding for an all inclusive hotel. It was fresh, hot and perfectly cooked with a huge variety of choice. The a la carte restaurant Avra was exceptionally good and we enjoyed going there for breakfast most days (it is worth upgrading to a room that gives you unlimited access to Avra). We never had to queue and were always able to get our preferred location for a table.
The only downsides for me were 1) there is nowhere nice to walk to close to the hotel and taxis are very expensive (e.g. €17 for a two mile journey to the aquarium ) and 2) there was a lot of single use plastics e.g. straws, plastic dessert cups and water bottles. It was disappointing that a hotel of this size was not more environmentally conscious.
Hlui made the experience very relaxing. I would highly recommend her to anyone interested in getting a massage.

We had a really nice vacation in the Hotel. We have got an upgrade, so we can enjoy a bungalow. The place is huge, full with different restaurants and food. The food itself was not super high quality, but there are a tons of different type. With children it is awesome. Everything is close, really nice and kind staff. The animators with different activities and mini disco made our day,
Our first stay at Arina Beach Resort — and definitely not our last.
Room We stayed in a deluxe sea‑view room above the bungalows near the kids’ play pool. It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had loads of storage (a rare and wonderful thing). The bed was super comfy with good pillows, the balcony was a great size with proper seating, and the walk‑in rainforest shower was heavenly.
Beach The resort stretches along the beach, so you’re never more than a few steps from the sea. There were plenty of sunbeds, the sand was lovely, and we didn’t need sea shoes. The waves were big during our stay, which made swimming great fun. A little seaweed popped up in places, but nothing dramatic and easy to avoid. The water was warm, clear, and the sunbeds had padded mattresses — a small luxury that makes a big difference.
Pools There are three main pools: the lively activity pool, the heart‑shaped pool, and the long adults‑only pool. Plus a kids’ pool with mini slides and a flume pool with proper grown‑up slides. We spent most of our time at the main pool because we loved the atmosphere — close to the sea, close to the bar, close to everything. The sunbeds were extremely comfy, but one tiny thing to note: the umbrellas are fixed to the beds, so as the sun moves, you can’t adjust your shade. Some guests got creative with towels and pegs. Not a deal‑breaker, just something to be aware of if you’re a shade‑seeker.
Food The main buffet is genuinely the best all‑inclusive buffet I’ve ever had. The dishes changed nightly, but there were always reliable favourites like gyros, pasta, and fresh wood‑fired pizza. Everything was cooked beautifully — the meat was always tender, and the veg was varied and plentiful (a rare treat in buffets!). We ate at Avra one evening and it was gorgeous — highly recommend. We didn’t try the other restaurants because the buffet was more than enough for us. Breakfast was also excellent with loads of choice. Special shout‑out to Kostas in the main restaurant — such a kind man, always happy to chat, helped us with our Greek, and somehow kept our glasses magically full.
Bars The bar staff were brilliant — nothing was too much trouble and they’d make anything you asked for. A special mention to Marina at the main pool bar, who was an absolute ray of sunshine.
Cats, Kittens & Dogs Prepare to fall in love. They’re well looked after by the hotel and thoroughly spoiled by guests. They’re adorable, friendly, and honestly just add to the charm of the place.
Activities & Entertainment We didn’t have kids with us, but after visiting Kos with my nieces earlier this year, I know they would’ve loved it here. The animation team were incredible — from the 10am “good morning” high‑five to the kids’ disco at night, they never stopped. As adults, we joined Aqua Gym, Water Polo, bingo, and watched beach football, volleyball, darts, cooking, crafts… they even started bounce‑fit on trampets! There’s also an indoor jungle gym and outdoor play park for little ones. A huge shout‑out to Oscar, who was pure energy and joy. He made sure everyone felt included and had the best time. Arina — he is an absolute gem.
Overall We absolutely loved this hotel. I’ve seen some negative reviews and honestly… I’m baffled. You can nit‑pick tiny things anywhere, or you can appreciate the beautiful setting, the amazing food, the lovely people, and just enjoy yourself. in the words of Anastasia “Don’t forget to smile, it is free 😊”
