Visited 10 nights at this hotel, via Jet2, reception welcoming, bedroom as requested, near lift, high floor, meals varied as we were all inclusive, many options, hotel on bus route to Corfu Town.
Special mention of Kosmina at breakfast and lunch and Rafael at reception - both friendly and helpful.
Drawbacks were all the "stairs", lack of handrails, and the "outsourced" French animation team, despite our "efforts" to converse - not good!
All in all a good time!!
We had a lovely 7 nights at the Iolida hotel, in Dassia. We stayed in room 204, with a lovely view of the pool, and a decent seaview. The room was very clean and nicely decorated. The maids came in daily and did a great job. The staff are all very helpful The bathroom was modern with shower gel supplied and a really good, powerful shower. There is a safe in the room, which you pay €20 a week deposit, for the key. When you check out, you give the key back, and get your deposit back. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. The fridge in our room(204)was very noisy. Woke me up a few times, but I am a light sleeper. Air con is very good We found the food at the hotel very nice. Plenty of choice and I especially enjoyed the beef stifado. Shame it was only there one night out of the seven we were there! The hotel is well situated opposite Dassia beach, which is easy to walk to in approx 5-10 minutes. The bus to Corfu town is just outside the hotel entrance. You can buy tickets from the onsite shop for €2.20 each way. You can also hire a car through the hotel, which was very easy to organise. We had a Dacia Sandero Stepway automatic for a day. Johanna turned up at our hotel with the car, the night before. Went through the paperwork, paid her and she gave us the key. We insured the car for the both of us. My Girlfriend has never driven abroad before, but she did really well. We had planned our day, but Johanna suggested we do it slightly different, and she was right. We went to the Monastery first, in Paleokastritsa and then up to Sidari. Then onto Kassiopi. We then popped into The White House on Kalami bay(The Durrell's) and then finally Ipsos. Definitely worth hiring the car to see the sights The hotel only has entertainment 3 nights a week. We missed the Monday night as we arrived late. Wednesday was ok. The Friday act was very good. Unfortunately not every holiday is perfect. We found we had to live out of our suitcases, as there was no storage to put our clothes away. We don't go away to watch tv, but as there isn't much entertainment on at the hotel, it would have been nice to have something to watch. We couldn't even cast our phones to the screen, to watch YouTube. I'm quite good with tech, but it wouldn't work. At the end of the day, not that much of a problem The background music around the pool and in the reception can get quite monotonous. We ended up using the other pool as it was quieter. Wherever you pitch up to catch zoom rays, you will have a walk to get to the bar. Lots of stairs! I quite enjoyed it to be honest, but not so good if you have mobility problems There was a smell of drains over in the far left corner of the pool area(as you look from the hotel). We didn't sit there again. We have marked the hotel 4 out of 5. I wish it was out 10, as I would have scored it 9 out of 10 There are a few cats that sit out the front of the hotel. They are well fed and watered by the hotel. We took Dreamies with us, but the cats weren't bothered! That never happens! It's a good hotel with decent transport links to explore the island.
Here’s our honest review.
Positives: Grounds lovely (but steep). Staff friendly / accommodating. Pools clean. Rooms spacious. Beds comfy. Cleanliness good.
Negatives: Grounds maintenance at the pool side, with the loudest strimmer most mornings, hardly relaxing. Soft drinks poor, only branded Pepsi, the rest are too sweet. Entertainment limited to 3 times a week, other nights is just a CD on repeat. Not once did any hotel entertainment reps speak to or acknowledge us (they did with most other people) I think they have their preferred nationalities. The food was never ‘hot’, from the restaurant or snack bar, I urge management to taste food throughout the day to see for themselves. We stayed for a week all inclusive but ate out 4 nights due to food variety / heat.
Overall it was nice, but we would not return.

Had a wonderful 3 days after a cruise to chill down. Vicky and the team were exceptional and the property was very tasteful. Excellent food and plenty of room and sunbeds at the pool. Added bonus was the boat hire a short walk down at the beach. Top marks to all.
