We had a fantastic stay at Akasha Beach Hotel & Spa and would definitely recommend going all-inclusive — for us, it was the best choice!
The hotel was really clean and well looked after, and the food was absolutely great with plenty of choice. Everything was fresh and there was always something we enjoyed.
A special mention to Ava, who looked after us at breakfast and lunch. She was so helpful, friendly and funny, and always had a smile on her face. She really made us feel welcome and made our meals even more enjoyable!
All the staff were so friendly, welcoming and great fun, which made the whole holiday even better.
Our room was lovely, and having a pool on the balcony was fantastic. The pool was always clean and was great for cooling off and relaxing. The only small issue was that when swimming, the water could go over the edge and splash guests eating underneath, so you just had to be a little careful.
The spa was fantastic and a great place to relax and unwind. The private beach was also brilliant, with a great beach bar and even service on the beach, which was such a lovely touch.
Another great thing was how they looked after us on our last day. Even though we had to check out at 11am and our transfer wasn't until later, they still let us enjoy the all-inclusive service until 2pm. They also provided somewhere for us to have a shower and freshen up before travelling home. We really appreciated this and thought it was a fantastic service.
The location was perfect too, with everything you need right on your doorstep.
Overall, we had an amazing holiday and couldn't fault the hotel. The all-inclusive was definitely the best choice for us. We would happily come back again! ❤️
Driving down the Hersoniss strip, we did wonder if we'd made the right choice, but once through the doors...
You expect good service in a five star hotel, however, the staff really did make an extra effort, particularly Eva in the breakfast and lunch restaurants and Anna, Kos & Michael on the beach. We'd probably go back just to receive more of their friendly pampering. The quality and choice of food makes the place worth a visit even if the service wasn't as pampering.
The fixtures and fittings, cleanliness, ambience, and atmosphere are all worthy of five stars, although the beds could really do with firmer mattresses.
We were luck to benefit from two room upgrades, one midway through our stay (sea view and hot-tub) and one for our (very) late checkout (sea view and plunge pool) - there were amazing, but on balance, the less fancy room, facing down onto the main pool was laid out better and suffered less noise disturbance from people coming and going.
Anna was great. She was very professional and had an excellent service
Very clean enviroment. My therapist Nadia was very good and I was very relaxed
Akasha accommodated my first ever solo trip and my first visit to Greece. I absolutely loved it. I only stayed for a week, and at the end wished I stayed for longer. Very kind and professional staff, clean environment, excellent location (1 minute walk to the beach), outstanding rooms, great food.
I was booked for the Urban Chic room and upon arrival got gifted a room with a private jacuzzi on its balcony. Rooms are modern, clean, with everything you could need in them (hair dryer, slippers, robes, towels, shower gels, hangers, clothing iron and an ironing table, a safe, TV, mini fridge, etc. – everything you’d expect from a high-end hotel). I was booked on half-board, so I had breakfast at 7:00 and dinner at 19:00 – both featuring excellent food (self service with plenty of choice). You get free coffee and water with breakfast, but have to pay for drinks during dinner. And you have to call a waiter for drinks when you sit down with your plates. They don’t have drink dispensers in the buffet.
Hotel has a big main pool with sunbeds which I haven’t used on my trip, but looked good and clean. From what I saw, people would line up for a queue at around 8:30 in the morning so they could secure a sunbed (pool opens at 9:00). Beach is very close, about 1 minute away from the main pool. My recommendation would be to also go there early in the morning. I would go down at 7:00 and the sunbeds would be empty, but by around 9:00 it would start to get packed. The beach has sand, but as you enter water, it becomes rocky and slightly slippery – so be careful not to fall and hurt yourself. I found that entering from the right-side of the beach was easier since there were flatter and larger rocks that you can stand on. The upside to it being rocky is that the water is CRYSTAL clear, to the point where I could see the seabed just by looking down. Overall, the beach was a very positive experience, you just have to get used to the “rocky” entrance.
As for the staff, this was one of the main highlights for me. Very warm and funny, love to chat and be your friend. As a solo traveller I did not have anyone to talk to, so conversing with the waiters and the barmen was very pleasant. Mikhailis, Nada, Katerina, Konstantina, Annibal, Ilias and Panos (apologies if I misspelled any names) were my absolute favourites, very caring people and super nice to talk to when drinking cocktails in the evening. Everything about the bar experience was perfect. Incredible view when the sun is setting, and very calm environment at night with occasional live music.
The location of the hotel should also be mentioned, as apart from it being close to the beach, it’s also located in Hersonissos, surrounded with many souvenir shops and high-rated restaurants. It’s a perfectly balanced hotel that offers luxury accommodation without it being stripped away from civilization like other massive resorts. You can rest on the beach during the day and take walk to the streets at night. My check-out was early in the day and my flight was at midnight, so the hotel kept my luggage in their special luggage room while I laid on the beach. They provide private shower rooms so you can wash yourself after swimming. I had virtually no problems on my visit, I guess the ONLY thing I could mention was that my room’s shower cabin had no lights, so I was kind of washing myself in a slightly darker corner. But it was kind of a non-issue as it never bothered me too much.
10/10 experience. Very well priced and great value for money. I will be visiting again. Thank you Akasha.
