Nice hotel but not drinkable water - it only provides two 0.5L for 2 people/day. This isn’t right.
Great location! It is within easy walking distance of the SeaJet Ferry Port and all the attractions around Liberty Square. The reception staff was friendly and helpful, and housekeeping was super efficient and attentive.
Having been completely satisfied with the Aquila hotels—and especially the Elounda Village and Rithymna Beach —during our previous visit to Crete, this time, as our plans included a lot of activities around Heraklion, we stayed at the Atlantis.
The facilities are very beautiful, with a particularly attractive design, and the lobby is exceptional—a very pleasant and convenient space whether for dining, a meeting or work (yes, we did this as well), or simply for a drink and some relaxation.
The breakfast was very good, and the food was excellent in everything we tried.
The room we stayed in had an amazing view of the harbor and the Koule.
As always, what made the biggest difference was the exceptional staff, who, with great enthusiasm and cheerfulness, went above and beyond what we’d expect from a hotel in this category.
It was a pleasant surprise to find that the hotel has a few free parking spaces available, as well as a partnership with a large underground parking garage located just a few meters away at a very low cost.
We can’t wait to visit Atlantis and wonderful Crete again.
We had such a lovely time here the past few days and a big shout out to Lazaros who was so friendly and helpful. The whole team / staff were amazing. Location was close to everything and the atmosphere of the hotel was chilled and lovely and cool. We had a harbour view and it was spectacular. Had a mini bar in the room but didn’t feel the need to use it as we spent a lot of time out of the room and by the pool on the top floor. We didn’t use the pool but sunbathed and there were always plenty of beds.
Lovely hotel with a great location. However, it is an older building that has been upgraded and modernised, and in some areas it is starting to look a little tired. I stayed in a Superior room overlooking the fortress and harbour, so the views were lovely. Unfortunately, the balcony had a solid concrete wall, which meant I couldn’t sit outside and enjoy the views properly. The walk into the main town wasn’t particularly enjoyable, as some of the streets were quite grubby and there was a lot of graffiti, which took away from the experience. The walk into the main town wasn’t particularly enjoyable, as some of the streets were quite grubby and there was a lot of graffiti, which took away from the experience. The pool area was nice enough, but there was a huge patio area that seemed quite underused, with only one table and a few chairs. I think this space could be utilised much better by creating a proper seating area with plenty of tables and chairs. A rooftop bar would also be a fantastic addition and would make much better use of the space. Housekeeping was excellent, and the staff were pleasant and helpful enough. Overall, though, I personally wouldn’t rate this as a 5-star hotel. I would say it is more in keeping with a 4-star standard.
