Maya beach hotel is a four-star (4****) elegant seaside hotel, completely renovated in 2017/2018, comfortable, which lays harmoniously within the large new green gardens and great sea view as its situated 10 meters from the shore. All our rooms are fully renovated the year 2018 with a modern design by our award winning architect team as is all the main reception, restaurant and public spaces of the hotel. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Gouves, about 18 km from the airport of Heraklion and about 10 km from Hersonissos.The center of Gouves where you can find shops, taverns and bars is about 800 meters from the hotel. The hotel is situated just 10 meters from the rocky shore but the sandy beach is located about 150 meters from the hotel.The Easy access to the main road makes it easy for anyone who wishes to visit Knossos, Cretaquarium and Heraklion which is the capital of the island where the second largest archaeological museum in Greece is located. Adults only accommadation .The hotel offers outdoor swimming pool, terrace with sunbeds and Umbrellas, Gazebos, a snack bar and a restaurant, a lovely garden, table tennis ,darts , parking area, luggage storage, 24h reception, lobby and lounge, multilingual staff, wake up service, banquet facilities, room service, at exra charge , internet corner, non smoking areas and rooms .
Enjoy recreational amenities such as an outdoor pool and a fitness centre. This aparthotel also features complimentary wireless Internet access, concierge services and an arcade/games room.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Please dont come here thinking it is a 4Star hotel. It really isnt. Many rooms overlook the large, noisy childrens play area that adjoins the hotel. We had to fight to get a decent room despite having booked a junior suite. The food is ok. Not fantastic. The lovely staff are doing their best but the hotel needs a big upgrade. Our front door doesnt even lock properly so we have to take all of our valuables out with us each day. It is extremely overpriced in a very run down area with nothing to do at night. We wont bother again.
1st time in Gouves & the Enorme Maya, and on arrival we were in a room to the rear facing the children's playground next door in quite a small room and a little dark. However after talking to reception we upgraded to a room at the front with a lounge area and bedroom (double balcony) with no problem. The reception team were really helpful throughout. Pool & area no issues and always got a sunbed, garden bar area also excellent facing the sea. Breakfast and buffet in the evening excellent plenty of choice throughout, inc a free ala carte night during the stay. Short walk to the centre and the main beach area has a selection of beach club and public beach areas. Some good bars and restaurants close by especially Phillipos next door our go to for last drinks of the eve. Would return again as a day trip in to Heraklion is worth the trip for sights and shopping.
The hotel was excellent, the restaurant food was great with lots of choice every day, the pool area was big enough and the staff were very helpful. The location was walking distance from the sea and not too far from Gouves centre. We also visited locations such as Hiraklion, Agios Nicholaos and Rethymno by car. It was very easy to get around
We had a nice trip to Crete, everybody in the Hotel was so friendly. We had nice food and i had a very good Massage by fozini. We recommend to go there! Everything was without complications and easy!!
Lovely areaabout 30 min from the main city of Herkalion. Very relaxed atmosphere with a lovely pool. Rooms nice and well maintained. The hotel was clean and kept to good standards. Food amazing and staff very friendly. Also had a lovely massage with Ifigenia. Great value for money.
