Anemos Luxury Grand Resort

A truly unforgettable stay! The weather was fantastic throughout the trip, and the pool is simply wonderful. But the real highlight was the beach — almost mythical in its beauty, one of those places that stays with you forever.

The staff deserve a special mention: they were fantastic, always attentive and ready to help with anything we needed, making us feel truly well taken care of.

The food was also excellent — great quality, variety, and flavor. And the rooms? Absolute 5-star, with all the comfort you could ask for.

I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for the perfect getaway!

Patricia gave me a wonderful massage very relaxing and exactly what I needed. The spa is beautiful, calm, and has a lovely atmosphere. I’ll definitely come back.

We went as a family of three and were so excited to be staying here for a week, finally, after discovering it last year when coming very close to heading to this place as a replacement holiday - but ending up elsewhere.

Ultimately we had a lovely week, the hotel is incredibly clean and tidy, the staff are all fabulous (or nearly all with a couple of very minor exceptions) and the facilities are good.

There are however a few minor points which for me bring it down a couple of notches from the out and out luxury which it professes to be.

There is certainly some awkwardness around the all inclusive program sitting directly alongside the b&b and half board. It does get tedious giving a room number every time you order so much as even a drink, especially when you already have a wristband on. Also they have big freezers full of branded ice creams but they are at extra charge and its a bit unfair to have these in such prominent positions with young kids walking around believing that everything is all inclusive.

There is also undoubtedly a constant foul smell in the top right hand corner of the estate, where our room was, which at first didn’t matter, but eventually felt rather tedious and isn’t really what you want first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

We were in a shared pool room (9 other rooms sharing) and can’t help but wonder how these get cleaned and how often, with no obvious access other than through the rooms. This was highlighted by a poolside dead roach type creature which was there for the entire week and also grimey tiles in the corners of the sharing pool. This is the only part of the entire hotel premises which felt a little unclean to be fair though.

However my biggest negative by far is the lack of/refusal to use the air conditioning in the restaurants. Especially the main buffet where the inside area is constantly akin to a sauna. I have never ever experienced this at any all inclusive before and normally find that the restaurants are somewhat of a haven from the heat outside, this place was the opposite and actually after a week it really starts putting you off your breakfast etc, especially in combination with incredibly oily eggs, bacon etc. In fact breakfast isn’t great to be honest, despite all other food related elements being fantastic.

We absolutely loved being able to eat in three different sit down restaurants for lunch, as well as there being a large selection of poolside snacks and burgers etc available to be ordered to your loungers, but these menus need better advertising and probably a QR Code ordering system as well like most equivalent higher end hotels.

Finally the entertainment is poor. I don’t just mean the evenings, I mean in general. The entertainment team make next to no effort to get to know people and include them, plus the aqua park area is so far from the main pool area that its pretty challenging for everybody to be cohesively involved all the time. Actually, in reality there isn’t enough pool space anywhere, which is pretty bad for a hotel who’s marketing photos are all about the water on site. Its only really when you get there that you realise 75% of that water is decorative, not for swimming in though! (I mean the actual swimming pool space by the way, not sun loungers which there are plenty of and no bunfights to get hold of which is refeshing).

Our 9 year old son did get pretty bored pretty quickly to be honest as there wasn’t much opportunity to interact with similar age kids throughout the day.

All in all we had a lovely family holiday away which was much needed.

Do I feel the hotel is amazing value for money, honestly, no I don’t. It just didn’t have the WOW factor I want somewhere that has cost that kind of money to have.

It also, in my opinion has a bit ot an identity crisis and needs to decide it it wants to be an adults only property, or a family property, as at the moment it is neither.

We wouldn’t return, despite having a very pleasant week.

I am rating 4 as 3 would feel very harsh indeed, but in all honesty I would rate 3.5 if the option was there to.
