Clean and spacious rooms, ample sun beds around the pools and on the beach, even during the busy period. Fantastic service from reception when we arrived to the housekeepers, bar/catering staff, buggy drivers, gardeners and caretakers. Absolutely everyone made us feel special and took care of us. I would like to make a special mention to Polina and Ashwin in the vanilla crepe/ice cream stall, and also to Manisha and Anil during breakfast service. What a fantastic experience we’ve had here. The only tip I would give is to reserve your restaurants before you arrive, as time slots were very limited and the Italian restaurant was fully booked during the entire duration of our stay (which was a whole week), and we enquired on the first day. Maybe send an email to the hotel to request early booking before you arrive.
First of all, this is a great hotel. We searched high and low for a suitable hotel for a couple with an almost four-year-old child, and this exceeded our expectations.
The children’s facilities are excellent, with plenty to keep little ones entertained, including the crèche and the waterpark, which actually became our favourite area of the hotel because it was so child-friendly. The swimming pools were very clean and well maintained, and even our private pool attached to the room was cleaned regularly.
The food was also very good, with plenty of choice during the themed buffet evenings. We stayed on an all-inclusive basis, but I would recommend booking any of the à la carte restaurants as soon as you arrive, as they fill up quickly. We stayed for seven nights and only managed to get a reservation at the Italian restaurant on our final evening. The poolside food at lunchtime was also excellent, and throughout our stay the staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to serve drinks.
The only reason I haven’t given this hotel five stars is that a few areas could do with a little more TLC. In our bathroom, the grab rail was coming away from the wall, leaving a cracked tile behind it, and the basin taps were quite stiff. There were also a few cosmetic issues in the bedroom, such as bent lampshades and crooked pictures. These are only minor details, but at a five-star resort I would expect these finishing touches to be perfect. Around the resort there were also a few broken light fittings and some ill-fitting drainage grates around the pool areas. Again, these are relatively minor issues, but they stand out more at a hotel of this standard.
That said, it’s worth remembering that five-star ratings can vary between countries, and this isn’t a Ritz-Carlton-style luxury resort. Overall, we had a fantastic holiday, would happily recommend this hotel to friends and family, and would definitely return ourselves.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Resort was very nice and we had a great time. Spa was very relaxing as well.
Petrycia gave a great massage at the Spa.
Travelled with my husband, 4 year old and mum. Had an absolutely brilliant stay. Did a lot of research to choose this hotel and it paid off. Brilliant hotel, brilliant base for Da trips to Chania and Rethymon. Also Lake Kourda is a must with the little train that takes you there (tip from the hotel).
We like to stay at luxury hotels that offer all inclusive and this is perfect. Lovely a la carte dining so not repetitive.
If this is on your radar do not think twice. Luxury for adults as well as an amazing splash pool for younger kids. Perfect for everyone.
Thanks Anemos, we will be back!
