The Filion Suites Resort and Spa is a tranquil traditionally styled property offering excellent accommodation on a 17 acre plot surrounded by olive trees close to the village of Bali (2 km). Bali itself has a selection of shops, bars and restaurants and a small, well protected bay that is excellent for swimming and water sports and with a complimentary shuttle bus service 7 times from 09.00am to 18.00 pm daily to the beach, guests can get there with ease. The taste of a cocktail or a snack next to the sea breeze is a memorable experience. The friendly water sports staff, will welcome the guests for a trip around the bay on a water-ski or fun-ride or take it easy in a canoe or pedalo with local charge. Private yachts, motorboats and catamarans are available for rent and sail, too. Tours/excursions service, wake up service , ironing service and a luggage storage is available. There are plenty of facilities for everyone at the Filion Suites including three renovated large outdoor swimming pools, two outdoor children's pools, tennis court / basketball ground / table tennis, a kids play area, an indoor playroom and a conference hall. The spacious fully renovated outside area with private terraces overlooking the beautiful gardens provide stunning views of the majestic Cretan landscape. Guests will also find an internet corner and those with their own computer can enjoy FREE Wi-Fi connection ALL around the Resort. The hotel offers also currency facilities to change on-site and the reception stuff will advise you how to visit the famous Cretan sightseeing. Every Thursday noon a cooking lesson by creating Greek Specialties is provided free from our kitchen Chef. If you are looking for ultimate relaxation during your holiday then head for the Filion Suites Resort and Spa. Here you can refresh and revitalize the body and mind with a massage, facial, manicure, pedicure or even a new hairdo (charge).
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel is friendly and the reception staff is kindly. The view of the hotel is good to the mountains. About 10 minutos to Bali. However is not a 5 star hotel. There is many things that can improve: the maintenance of the space, the food (quality is ok but not very good, quantity and variety). The cleanliness can improve. The value for the price it’s good and you have access to many places in Crete because the hotel is the center of the island. If you want a place calm to stay this is the place.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and truly enjoyed our holiday.
The rooms were clean and tidy, and housekeeping was provided every day. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist.
The food at the restaurant was varied and delicious. Breakfast was especially enjoyable, with fresh juice available every morning. Throughout the day, there were also plenty of different snacks available.
I would especially like to mention Alexander, the bartender. He is definitely the right person for the job! Not only does he recommend and prepare delicious cocktails, but he is also very helpful and happy to answer any questions you may have.
Overall, this is a lovely hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We would be happy to come back!
Overall, this hotel offers great value for money. It is advertised as a five-star hotel online, although given the price we paid, we didn’t arrive expecting a true five-star experience. With that in mind, we were very happy with what we got for our money.
The staff are lovely, the facilities are good, and there are plenty of sunbeds, so you’re never struggling to find one. Bali is very close by and Karavostasi Beach is lovely and definitely worth visiting.
There are a couple of downsides. The Wi-Fi is poor if your room is away from the main hotel area, and the bar food available between lunch and dinner is atrocious. Make sure you don’t miss lunch, otherwise you’ll be hungry until dinner starts at 6:45pm, as even the small hotel shop closes during this period.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay and, for the price we paid, felt the hotel represented excellent value for money. Just don’t book expecting the level of luxury you would normally associate with a five-star resort.
