Atali Grand Resort

I have no idea how this hotel got so many great reviews, because our experience was way different. The room we got was old, not quite what the photos show. It could have been cleaner as well as the corridors.

Food was not good at all, I had trouble picking the food that tasted good. I was also expecting lot more greek food/fish, fruit options were also poor. What actually shocked me was their concept of ''all inclusive''. For snacks between main course there was just a plain sandwich or piece of cake you could pick up, nothing else. And we were forbidden to take some fruit up to our room for our daughter who was sleeping during lunch time. As for the drinks, the ones included in the all inclusive werent great at all, being too sugary or just tasting weird, You could choose some other but of course those had to be paid for. We have already been to other holiday resorts eg. in Spain, and the experience was far superior.

The pool was ok, though it got quite dirty few days after our arrival. And they let people bath in there for a few days before deciding it should probably be cleaned! As wer were there with young children, we got quite concerned. Few of the sunbeds were broken, but probably nobody cared either. Then there was the aquapark few minutes walking up the road. The slides were cool, though the water was colder than preferred. The loud music wasnt turned down even after I asked politely one of the workers there. And the smell around that area made sure we werent keen on returning to the aquapark much more.

The beach was fine, if only there was more space for people to lay there. The whole beach was full of sunbeds (to be paid of course) leaving hardly any space for others who didnt want to spend 20 euro for a sunbed/day.

I give a positive point to the animation team, our youngest loved the evening mini disco.
