Just got back from staying at this hotel and would highly recommend! Best hotel I’ve stayed in, food and drinks were amazing! Hotel rooms spacious and clean, will definitely be coming back in the future. Staff always helpful and polite!
I stayed here at the end of September with my family. I will start with the positives:
The water park is huge! It has something for everyone and is probably the best hotel water park we’ve seen.
The grounds are immaculate and very well kept. The cleanliness is of a high standard here.
The facilities are great. You have everything you need here. It’s perfect for all ages.
We were upgraded to a swim up room half way through our stay, which was complimentary. This was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. It meant we could sit out more but the pool was too cold to use.
Check in was easy and the reception staff were all lovely.
Now I’ll move on to the negatives..
The pools are freezing!! I don’t see why they can’t heat the pools, they were literally unusable.
The staff are very up and down. Some were lovely and very approachable, others not so much. The older women at this resort were quite rude. Considering this is a family resort, not one person interacted with my son. He was pretty much treated like he didn’t exist. The woman with dark hair and dark eye make up at the ice cream parlour was particularly unapproachable and just sighed everytime she was asked for something. The older man on the lobby bar was very rude and it really felt like we were not welcome.
The beds are so uncomfortable! The mattresses were rock hard and the pillows weren’t comfy either. The sleep quality was very poor. When we moved rooms the bed was slightly more comfortable but still not the best.
The food is of poor quality. The buffet at dinner was surprisingly good but breakfast was terrible. The food was swimming in grease and it wasn’t of high standard. The à la cartes were okay but didn’t meet our expectations. At the Mexican restaurant there is only one main option for children which was chicken fajitas. This just didn’t feel like children were catered for at all. The Asian restaurant was great, but again not a huge amount of choice. The veranda was marketed as a high level steak house. The food looked great but the taste just didn’t match up. I had chicken which was slightly pink, my partner had lamb chops with hardly any meat on them. For a 5 star hotel we expected the food to be of high quality but this was a huge let down for us. Don’t even bother eating from the snack bar at the water park, the food is awful! I’ve had better pizzas from Iceland!
Other guests were unbearable. I know this is not the hotel’s fault but honestly the other guests ruined the experience for us. Children were running riot in the restaurant, some pushed my son off the climbing frame in the playground. Their parents allowed their behaviour and so did the hotel staff. Not once did we see any member of staff step in with awful behaviour.
The overall vibe just felt off! I can’t put my finger on why but I just didn’t feel relaxed at all. I think it’s the people that make the holiday but I just didn’t feel a high level of hospitality here. I felt quite uncomfortable and sometimes unwelcome in certain areas of the hotel.
If I’m being honest I don’t think I would recommend this hotel. It really didn’t live up to my expectations. Facilities wise, I can completely see why this is a 5 star hotel but service and hospitality just weren’t anywhere near what we expected. The staff being unapproachable and not engaging with my son were a huge no no for me. As this is supposed to be a family hotel, this is the main reason why I wouldn’t recommend it. But then I guess it really depends on what you’re looking for. I wouldn’t return here which is a real shame as this hotel has huge potential to be one of the best in Greece.
Such a beautiful hotel, gorgeous food, amazing entertainment. Worth every single penny spent. The entertainment staff were amazing, the evening shows were great and hilarious. Carla from the entertainment staff is such a lovely lovely woman, my daughter Absolutely loved her and we’re very sad to be saying goodbye. Bailey is also fabulous very lovely. The staff are great and can’t do enough for you. We’re so sad to be going, but we will definitely be back!
We had the most amazing family holiday at Stella Palace and honestly couldn’t fault it!
The resort itself is absolutely stunning — beautifully maintained, incredibly clean and so well organised. From the moment we arrived, everything felt easy and relaxed, which is exactly what you want from a family holiday.
The staff deserve a special mention. They were all so lovely, polite, helpful and genuinely positive every day. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and their friendly attitude really made our stay even more enjoyable.
A special mention has to go to Carlotta from the entertainment team. She was absolutely fantastic — so friendly, energetic and welcoming. The entertainment team did a brilliant job and there was always something going on to keep everyone entertained.
The food was fantastic, with such a huge choice that there was something for everyone. We never got bored with the options and really enjoyed trying different things throughout our stay. The cocktail list was also brilliant — so many great choices, and the perfect way to enjoy an evening after a day by the pool!
For the kids, it was pretty much non-stop fun. They absolutely loved the aqua park and spent hours going down the slides and swimming in the pools. There was always something to keep them entertained, which meant we could relax and enjoy ourselves too.
We did have a couple of cloudy days during our stay, but even that didn’t stop us having a fantastic time together as a family. There was so much to do that the weather really didn’t matter.
Overall, Stella Palace gave us exactly the family holiday we were hoping for. A beautiful, clean and well-run resort, fantastic food and drinks, brilliant facilities and, most importantly, wonderful staff.
We would absolutely recommend Stella Palace and would happily return. A fantastic family holiday from start to finish! ❤️
