Family of 4 holiday to Lyttos Beach in July 2026. 2 adults, 2 children (14 and 11).
Amazing hotel, facilities and service. Staff want to make sure you have an enjoyable break. We want to and intend to return.
Pools - These are fantastic. We mainly used the heart shaped pool, the full size 50m Olympic pool (yes it really is that big!) and the main activity pool. All pools are plenty big enough and water was warm. Sunbeds at the heart pool were very comfortable with parasols. While busy, we were always able to get sunbeds at these pools - although to get your prefered spot at the heart pool and main pool meant getting there by 8:30am.
Waterpark - Although not the most scenic, waterpark is one of the best we have been to. Plenty of slides to suit all ages - some slow, some fast. Lazy river was fun too. Lifeguards could be a little more attentive at monitoring the slides especially when the “go / don’t go” sensors at the slide entrances aren’t working.
Restaurants - all are buffets. We actually far preferred that to having à la cartes. It took all the stress out of booking something and having to keep to a certain time. We think this approach was new for 2026 and we hope the hotel keep those arrangements. We enjoyed all - the Asian, Meat and Grill, Greek and Main restaurants are all excellent for dinner with plenty of wonderful food to suit all tastes. We enjoyed the Thai cooking at the Snack bar and the Greek restaurant for breakfast too. The omelettes were lovely. Particular mention to Fotini there.
Bars - these were well staffed so we hardly ever had to wait more than a couple of minutes to be served. Plenty of drinks choices. Bar staff all very friendly and wanted to make sure you liked your drink. There are self service stations dotted about too if you want house beer and house wine.
Rooms - we had a 2 bedroom family room with a door. Adults area had a King size double bed and a separate single bed. Children’s area had 2 single beds. All were proper sized beds with proper mattresses. We had two bathrooms as well and just about enough storage space. Balcony was a good size and led straight to heart shaped pool. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff were very friendly.
Beach - we didn’t go to the beach much but the sunset views there were beautiful.
Entertainment - standout show was the African acrobatics. Truly incredible what those guys could do. Evening entertainment is on each night around 9pm-10pm with some other things going on after that too.
Reception - really good service. We needed some pillows changed in our rooms one day and this was all sorted within an hour so very prompt service. They also sorted all our airport transfers with minimal fuss - as we had booked directly with the hotel and were staying for a certain number of nights these were complimentary for us, which was an added bonus. On our first night we arrived late and reception had arranged for food to be left in our fridge in our room, along with a bottle of wine which we appreciated after a long journey!
We had a fantastic experience at this hotel in July - August. There is so much to do for families, the pools are particularly amazing. It is pretty much faultless.
Everywhere is scrupulously clean, especially the communal areas which are really well-maintained. Staff work so hard in the restaurants especially which can understandably be very busy with families in peak season. There is a great choice of food and even though it’s a busy hotel, a relaxed atmosphere where you can help yourself to drinks without having to wait to be served.
The waterpark is fantastic and open all day.
The room was great, modern, clean and spacious.
The grounds are lovely with greenery and location right on the beach. There is so much choice for food available all day.
Didn’t see a single bug or mosquito and no bites!
Would highly recommend and would love to return again next year.
Amazing and very professional! I feel like a new person 😌 thank you kivikali
I had gel nails applied by Marianna. Her English was exceptional and it was lovely to hear her talk about family life and Crete. The gel nails are absolutely fantastic, very neat and professional. Do ask for Marianna when you visit, an absolute pleasure.
Both my daughters and I had our nails done by Marianna. She was so lovely and very patient with my autistic daughter who does not like her nails clipped. I would highly recommend her.
