This hotel is built in Cretian village style and consists of several buildings surrounded by magnificent gardens. The sea is just across the road, and a small bathing cove is located near the hotel. The nearest beach lies about 100 m away. Análipsi lies 1.5 km away and Chersónissos can be reached in 6.5 km. The tastefully furnished rooms at this modern hotel ensure comfort for their guests. The well-tended outdoor complex features both seawater and freshwater swimming pools, each with children's paddling pool. Guests can also cool off with a refreshing drink from the poolside snack bar. Sports enthusiasts will be thrilled with the tennis and basketball courts. Travellers can enjoy all their meals in the main restaurant which is set up in buffet style with a variety of Cretan, Greek and international cuisines.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
I would not return to this hotel and, unfortunately, I cannot recommend it based on my experience.
There were numerous issues throughout our stay, including poor staff attitude, inconsistent service, and concerns about cleanliness. The biggest disappointment, however, was the hotel’s apparent lack of hygiene standards.
At lunch, I picked up a wet plate from the buffet and asked a member of staff for a napkin so I could dry it. Instead, he took a used napkin from his pocket and attempted to wipe the plate with it, despite there being visible food residue on the napkin. I found this completely unacceptable and unhygienic.
The following morning, I watched a staff member cleaning the pathways around the swimming pool using water taken directly from the pool in a dirty bucket. After seeing this, I no longer felt comfortable using the pool.
Throughout our stay, dirty glasses were a regular issue in the bars and restaurant, and I often had to search for clean ones. I also never observed staff washing or sanitising their hands between clearing tables, handling used dishes, and serving food and drinks, which further undermined my confidence in the hotel’s hygiene practices.
When I raised my concerns before departure, the only solution offered was to use the shower facilities after I had already checked out, despite leaving within the hour. This completely missed the point of my complaint.
After returning home, I contacted Guest Relations in writing. Although they apologised, they also suggested that I should have reported the issues earlier, despite the fact that the incidents had already occurred and could not be undone. When I requested that my complaint be escalated to senior management, I was assured this would happen and that I would receive a further response. Despite that promise, I never heard from them again.
Mistakes can happen in any hotel, but what matters is how they are handled. Unfortunately, I found both the standards during my stay and the handling of my complaint disappointing. Based on my experience, this hotel did not meet the standard I would expect from a four-star property.
We stayed for 10 days and really loved the place, the staff were all very helpful, there is an issue with people getting up very early and putting towels on the sun beds (main pool all gone by 09:00 / BLE pool 08:00 and the anima pool 07:00 🤯) however IF all the quests supported the hotel’s policy rather then just being selfish that would not happen, the staff will also find you a bed if there are none free, rooms are lovely & clean (cleaners do a great job) my only negative would be you should be able to order any drink whether it is branded or not, overall a great place and well worth a visit.
Just returned from a 10 day holiday. Would absolutely recommend. The hotel and grounds are beautiful, it's a very chilled vibe. Food is excellent and the A La Cartes are a must visit. The drinks and cocktails are very good for an AI. Staff are all very friendly but special shout outs to the following: Maria (Head Waitress), Adonis (Ble Bar), Sandy (Ocean Restaurant) and Megi (Main Restaurant in the evening). There's not a lot going on in the evening entertainment wise but that suits us as we like a chilled drink before & after our evening meal. However, the Beach Party each Thursday brings a change. Would definitely look to visit again. Our room was above the Swim Up rooms overlooking Ble Bar & restaurant. Great balcony near the sea to enjoy a last drink before bed. The only slight negative was the room cleaning wasn't the best. Didn't appear we had a change of bedding over the 10 days and the floor didn't seem to get a mop each day. But that's one tiny aspect of the whole fantastic time we had.
We have just returned from a week here and was brilliant!
We found the food lovely, as picky eaters we always found something to eat. The asian snack bar was incredible! Aswell, we loved the variation of cocktails and drinks. If something wasn't on the menu the bar staff would make it such as a hugo spritz!
We had a swim up room, and it was perfect! Mini bar topped up every day, housekeeping staff was so lovely and would do anything to help!
The only couple of issues we had was on the last couple of nights, a scraping noise on the wall behind our bed which kept waking me up. I contacted reception and they came to sort it straight away. Another small issue was ants in the room, but not too many for me to complain.
The entertainment was very chilled, but we loved that. Gave us time to actually spend together as a couple and enjoy the music together. Top points for the beach party, that was a brilliant night!
Overall, we would definitely return, and we had a wonderful holiday. I'd recommend to anyone!
We stayed at this hotel for a week at the end of June. We booked this hotel as we have a teenage daughter and did not want to go to a hotel where there would be younger kids. It looks exactly as it does in the photographs, to which we were delighted as it looked and felt luxurious.
On arrival to the hotel we had to download an app to aid check in, which annoyed my husband as it was early hours of the morning. We still got a physical key for the room so in our opinion, downloading the app right at check in served absolutely no purpose, it could have been done at our leisure.
On entering our triplex room, we were disappointed. It was very small and we felt it lacked privacy as the shower door was a pane of glass that you could see into sitting on the bed or on the sofa bed. We hung a towel over the shower door to aid privacy while showering. Our daughter was in a sofa bed and there was just no where to sit and chill out in the room - we just had lie/sit on the bed if we wanted to sit in the air-con. The terrace did have 3 seats which meant we could all sit outside together, which we did each day after coming back from the pool. Also, not much storage, no drawers except a drawer in the dressing table and 6 hangers, however we did request more which the hotel happily accommodated.
We did complain to the Management regarding our room, they offered us another room halfway through the holiday, which we accepted. They also offered us a larger room at Stella Village (which has bigger accommodation as a hotel designed for families with children) but we did not accept as wanted to stay at the resort we booked. The new room was the same size but the shower (door still a pane of glass) was positioned differently which afforded a bit more privacy. Eirini, the Manager was very accommodating and the customer service afforded to us was excellent.
We found the hotel to be very nice, clean and modern. It felt and looked luxurious. We thought the food was excellent (plenty selection) but I think the drinks selection could be better - limited cocktail selection (in my opinion) but we visited one of the bars in the town as was nice to get out and about.
One thing we would have liked was ice cream. It's not the type of hotel that you get an ice cream through the day to enjoy at your sun lounger to cool down, you could only get a sundae in the Ble bar, which was lovely but didn't want to eat one every day. So we ended up buying ice lollies from the shop in the hotel.
We got 2 nights a la carte - one night at Ocean and one night at Bel. Both very nice! We also did a trip to Heraklion. There is a bus that picks you up at the hotel and takes you straight to the bus station. We did some light shopping and had a really nice ice cream at Chillbox!
Overall we had a great time! The staff were extremely accommodating and because of the excellent customer service we received we would return to this hotel, but as a couple. We felt that the set up is mostly set for couples and didn't really have anything to accommodate children in the age category of 12+, and the rooms are very small. Perfect for 2, but not for 3. Eirini went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay and every member of staff we engaged with was helpful.
