A beautiful, friendly and charming hotel which never felt crowded and was always welcoming.
We stayed for a week and in the height of summer holidays, we never had to rush for sunbeds, dinner reservations or wait to be served. The staff were always faultlessly polite, friendly and welcoming.
The HB package would not normally be my choice as I like to eat out but the food was varied and mostly delicious. Even the main buffet restaurant had à la carte options and you could eat at one of 2 other restaurants, getting 25% off the bill if you chose that instead.
The layout is thoughtfully designed and having plenty of idyllic spots to relax, you’ll find it hard to leave the grounds.
If you’re thinking of a Greek holiday at a higher end hotel then St Nicolas Bay should absolutely be on your shortlist, we loved it.
We are from the states. We held our wedding at St Nicolas Bay. It was beyond our expectations! We plan to go back for our anniversary and our guests plan to join us.
The staff was beyond attentive, even the most basic room was “nicer than any other room we had on our entire trip.” The food was delicious, the location beautiful - we could not ask for anything more!”
This is the message I sent to the manager.
“We cannot begin to thank you enough for making our wedding, our stay, and the experiences of our guests beyond imaginable, pure perfection!! Each and every guest said it was the “nicest, most elegant, most beautiful wedding they had ever attended.” We so loved that you were present and so attentive.
I have just returned from a wonderful Stay at this boutique hotel. The manager Alex sets the standard and he is always available for a chat and to check everything is ok. All the staff make a real effort to make you feel at home and special mention to Isabella and Nikos for being so kind and making our stay so special. I would highly reccomend and look forward to returning
We just came back after spending 5 nights in this beautiful resort. The place is truly stunning. It designed as a small Greek village with white villas two stories maximum set between green grass and gardens. Everything is very harmonious and has a special role to fill. We had a sea view room and it was simply breathtaking especially in the morning! Such a nice view to wake up to! There is a 25m athletic swimming pool and being a keen swimmer, I went there every morning to do my training. St Nicolas bay is very beautiful with crystal clear waters. There is a small beach for younger children to get into the water or stairs to get straight into the deeper end. If you come to this hotel- make sure you bring your snorkelling mask. It provided hours of entertainment . The bay has amazing fish variety and with clear waters you can swim and see lots of them. I also enjoyed free yoga classes with Matilda. She is a great yoga instructor and also comes and corrects when you are doing yoga poses incorrect. It’s very important. I also wanted to say that staff was great- very attentive and even in such a space period of time, they make an effort to get to know you. We had half board option and our dinner was in Labyrinth restaurant . All starters were buffet style and then you could order à la cart your main course. Menu was changed every evening and there was enough variety to choose from. I also liked that portions for main were not massive. This gave an opportunity to also sample some delicious desserts. Similar system applied to breakfast. There was a large buffet with all different foods but you could also order from the menu . Dishes were cooked fresh and to your liking. I really had a lovely time and would highly recommend this place for family or a couple vacation in a very tranquil environment.
Avoid if you don’t like package holidays. The construction quality is poor - old, also - you will hear your neighbors and their children throughout the evenings and early mornings. Quality of the buffets (inescapable buffets) is average, unimaginative. Pluses are: direct access to the sea and well managed gardens.
