The club resort is located by Agia marina, 7 km from the old town of Chania and 20 km from the port of Souda. It is built on a hill, 150 metres from the sea, bus station and the centre of the village, which offers a great variety of facilities. Agia Marina is well known for its natural beauty and entertainment options and it offers a number of restaurants. Shops, bars and nightlife are to be found about 2 km from the hotel. The famous Knossos archaeological site is approximately 140 km from the hotel and Souda airport is around 28 km away.
All the 134 room and suites are in small buildings located throughout the lovely gardens and offer all modern facilities. In the two main buildings there is a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, a bar, TV lounge and a buffet and à la carte restaurant. Younger guests may let off steam in the children's playground. Further facilities available to guests at the air-conditioned hotel, which was renovated in 2010, include a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a cloakroom, lift access, a games room, café and a car park. Wireless Internet access and a laundry service are offered for additional fees.
Each room is tastefully furnished and decorated and features an en suite bathroom with shower, bathtub and hairdryer, a double or king-size bed, a kitchenette with fridge, and a private balcony or terrace. Other in-room amenities include a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, a radio, safe and individually regulated air conditioning and heating.
There is an indoor and outdoor swimming pool, with a separate children's swimming area and a poolside snack bar with sun loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. Guests may work out in the on-site gym. The nearby beach is sandy.
Buffets are served for breakfast and dinner. A la carte options are also available for lunch and dinner.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Honest review. The hotel is lovely, the rooms are spacious but next time we will book a sea view. The food is really good, not a massive ammount of choice, however everything on offer was nice. There isn't much entertainment during the day and evening and its very quiet.
Overall a great holiday.
We were put here after the NATS failure and our flight was cancelled. We stayed here for 2 nights and the staff were very friendly and very helpful. They assisted us with increasing our all inclusive and ensuring we had access to everything even after we arrived at 3am! The hotel is a lovely place with great views and great food. Even tho we didn’t book this hotel I would very much consider coming back for a full holiday!
Extremely friendly helpful and hardworking staff, hotel is a good location for the beach and local restaurants although it’s got lots of steps and on a hill so maybe not for the less able. The apartment we had was a bit outdated/tired but it had everything we needed, was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The housekeeping lady really looked after us.
The pool was nice, comfy sunloungers and normally lots of choice. For €15 you could hire the same comfy sun loungers on the beach from the isola the hotels beach bar/restaraunt.
Some entertainment a couple of times during our stay, but on the whole fairly quiet hotel. Euro music played around the pool each day.. a bit loud and repetitive for me but just my opinion.,
On the whole it was a good stay. Nice breakfast, very relaxed..
The hotel was lovely but up a very steep hill. There is a lift that takes you part of the trip up the hill which helps. Using the lift you need the 4th floor going up for reception. Food - Breakfast was average the hot food was lukewarm warm most days but there was quite a bit of choice. We had a Club Sandwich by the pool which was lovely. Pool Area - Personally I like room to move the loungers around as my husband likes the shade and I like the sun. But the have loungers set in lines made it really difficult. They look lovely but we felt a little uncomfortable trying to move them into the shade etc. Also the pool is all one depth which for me was to deep to stand. (I am only 5ft though) Reception - friendly and helpful Room - quite small my husband and I were constantly in each others way while try to change etc. Gym - my husband went most mornings.
Although nothing major put us off this hotel we probably would not return but that is personal choice.
Just returned from fabulous 9 day break with my Mrs. This hotel was excellent and well exceeded our expectations. The great variety of food available at breakfast and throughout the whole day and the service was of a really high standard nothing was too much trouble. We must mention the exceptional bar and waiter service delivered by Chrysa and Raine they made the whole holiday the best it could be and definitely a hotel we will be returning to, thank you.
