The location of the hotel was right on the beach, atmosphere was very relaxed and quiet. The rooms were clean and a very good size. Great value for money!
Always a fabulous welcome from the lovely receptionist guy and ladies. This Hotel has the best staff ! All of whom made our holiday so special.
The setting is stunning and could jump out of the gorgeous pool and be on the beach in seconds, plenty of sunbeds, if you’re unsteady underfoot get beach shoes as a little uneven going into the sea. Some gorgeous sunsets at night.
Breakfast very relaxed atmosphere, great selection of food and again staff so lovely. Loved our water melon treat on the beach. The young lads were an absolutely delight.
Lunch was amazing, food top quality, complements to the chef. Again serving staff fabulous. Would love to have waiter service rather than buffet at night as would definitely have eaten there.
Manos, the most professional, friendly, lovely guy who makes the most amazing cocktails! Happy hour is fab and very reasonable.
Entertainment was good especially the guitarist wished it could have stayed on a bit later. Loved coming back to the bar at night for more of Manos’ cocktails!
Plenty of gorgeous restaurants with great settings close by. We went to Chania which was too busy with traffic for our liking felt like we were back at home and long queues for taxis.
Would definitely return to this beautiful hotel and for any lone travellers would highly recommend as felt so safe.
We also went on a private boat trip with Sea Star boat trips which was fab with lots of snorkelling.

We were two female friends in our mid-50s traveling together, and overall we had a very nice stay at Thalassa Beach Resort. It is a nicely sized resort with a perfect location right by the sea. A huge plus is that the hotel offers free sun loungers with parasols and beach towels – we truly appreciated that! The food was also a highlight; both restaurants served delicious, authentic Greek cuisine.
Check-in started off a bit confused as we were given the wrong room on our first night. We had originally booked a Junior Suite on two floors with sleeping facilities on both levels, but had to settle for a standard double room for the first 24 hours. However, the hotel handled it very well: from day two we were upgraded to an Executive Suite (also on two floors), and we received generous compensation in the form of red wine, sparkling wine, fruit, and a complimentary dinner. The reception staff were consistently very friendly and helpful!
That being said, the room showed its age. The bathroom in particular was very outdated and worn, with embedded dirt in a few spots that did not meet expectations. What shocked us the most, however, was how the dishes were cleaned: plates, glasses, and cutlery were manually washed by hand in the bathroom sink. This is unacceptable for a hotel in this class and significantly pulled down our overall impression.
Another major bonus was having a rental car for three days, allowing us to take full advantage of the free parking in the garage beneath the hotel.
Conclusion: A great hotel for a trip with a friend, offering delicious food, a top-tier location, and wonderful reception staff. If they upgrade the worn and outdated bathrooms and establish proper, hygienic routines for washing dishes in the rooms, this place will be superb.
Sitting on my balcony watching the selfish people putting their beach towels on the sunbeds then going back to bed or breakfast. Then watching the staff remove all towels on unoccupied beds . Brilliant just wish all hotels would follow the same practice.
Had a lovely stay at Thalassa Beach Hotel. A lovely room, not the best view but we weren’t overly bothered as we don’t spend that much time in our room. The bed was comfortable and a lovely size. Clean fresh towels and bedding every other day. Our bathroom was clean and very modern, the shower was hit or miss with the temperature. I was overwhelmed by how much choice and the quality of breakfast food there was. The staff are all great so friendly and helpful.
The beach bar was good for food and the majority of the drinks were great. A minor detail but it would be nice to have the mixer drinks in the fridge as warm G&T’s aren’t the one. Again all the staff were amazing
Evening food had plenty of choice and very tasty, it was buffet style, the only issue was the food could have been hotter. We did put this in the feedback form and a few night later it was a bit warmer. The evening staff were beyond excellent. A true asset to the hotel!
Pool and beach were fab and plenty of room for everyone.
A great stay and would definitely recommend for a lovely quiet and relaxing time.
