This was to be a celebration for my wifes 80th birthday and not the best experience for a couple who have travelled worldwide experiencing accomodation from campers to top quality hotels. Arrival and experiencing the wonderful lobby we believed we had made a good choice, walking to our room along the beachfront past a restaurant, pool bar, gardens, gentle beach and inviting sea again what a good choice. Arrived at our room 601 ground floor garden view abet not the highest grade, but bland furnishing, dark, alongside a service road. looking directly at service ramp and the rooms in front. 95% of our view bland concrete. A garden view only if we leaned out to our right. Not acceptable staff advised, will show you another room. 501 next wing, EXACTLY the same aspect and layout. Advised staff this did not meet the TUI description, yes it did was the answer a garden room. We are now unhappy, advised we will show you another room 532, upper floor, same size as the two previous with slightly different furnishings , not yet made up the staff member advised. It was nade up and overlooked a grassed courtyard, BUT additional charge 1200 euros, as an upgrade, reduced on disagreeing to the extra cost to 1036 euros. Rember it was celebration of a birthday, we accepted,what choice did we have!!!. this hotel and TUi were not going to spoil our holiday. We wanted a meal that evening and were advise the only reservation available at 6.30 was in the Italian restaurant. We went and did not return during our stay, very ordinary Italian dishes. The following evening we ate in the beachside restaurant, requesting a specific dish were advised it would take 45/50 minutes. As it was and ordering another dish it took 48 minutes to arrive ?? Well looked after most of the time by poolside and beachfront restaurant staff, latter at breakfast overworked to the extent it took 6 mornings for us to be offered freah coffee and orange juice. At the same time observed 2-3 more senior staff talking whilst junior staff attempted to keep up with input and requests. Bad managemnet. We booked a table for 6.00pm one evening but the restaurant was not ready, staff standing in a meeting!. When seated we were offered tepid water, ice arrived some 20 minutes later. We booked an evening trip to Corfu at 6.00 as advised by reception, arrived but its 6.30pm. 30 min wait. In that time a storm hit the hotel area we and others cancelled the trip and asked if we could book a table. Only in the Italian restaurant, must have been a joke, across the road abet in a lift and 100mtr walk in a storm. The final straw. We booked by reception a table on our last evening at the 5 star Michelin restaurant. Duly dressed for such an occassion arrived to be told opens at 6.30. ANOTHER IMMEIATE VISIT TO FRONT DESK show me the introductory informationon restaurant reservation the copy as the one in our room advised 6.00 Domes did not ruin our holiday, we made the vest of a bad situation. BUT our recommendation to the hotels management.
5 STAR NO.......... BEACH FRONT , POOL BAR GOOD.... BEACHFRONT RESTAURANT ACCEPTABLE... BUT CATS SOILING THE GRASSED AREA WHER WE WALK NO.....CATS ON CHAIRS AND TABLES NO. expect that in a cheap beach front establishment Y
One of the most beautiful properties we’ve stayed at in the Luxury Collection! We had a gorgeous suite with an outdoor jacuzzi, where we got to enjoy the sunrise every morning while sipping our espresso. The staff was absolutely stunning, and the service was out of this world. Right by the water, with so many amazing food options to choose from. Such a unique and unforgettable experience , we’ll definitely be back!
Domes Miramare is a nicely designed hotel, Lovely furniture, great view from the upstairs restaurant. Decent, if unmemorable, room. Food is ok, with the Makris restaurant being a real highlight...its very good. Conversely the italian themed restaurant was awful. Avoid.
The hotel has some fundamental negatives. The general vibe is boring. Not sure why, maybe adults only is always like this.
More disappointing was the pebble beach. Narrow, stony, and with no way to walk along the shoreline. Once you get passed the stones the sea is clear and gentle, but the walk in, and harsh pebble beach, is hard to equate with a high end hotel. A week at Domes Miramare Corfu is like a 2nd prize, the first being 3 days. Apart from Makris restaurant there's nothing about Domes that makes me glad to have spent a week there.
This was our second visit in just over a year to Domes Miramare - and the experience didn’t disappoint.
The staff are welcoming and friendly, and can’t do enough for you. Our room was spacious and had a lovely jacuzzi overlooking the sea.
The Italian restaurant was excellent, as was the Japanese restaurant - the half-board option was definitely worth it and such a treat.
Best hotel in Corfu by far - we will be back!

Our stay at Domes Miramare was truly wonderful.The rooms were beatiful ,comfortable,and impeccably maintained. The location is absolutely stunning,right by the sea, with breathaking views and peaceful,luxurios ambience. What made our experience truly special , however,was the staff.Everyone was exceptionally kind,welcoming always ready to help with genuine smile. We would wholeheartedly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable escape in Corfu, and we would love to return!
