My Husband and ,I had the Best time .The Hotel was in a Great location.The food was Delicious ,Plenty of choice for Vegetarian s .The rooms are lovely very Greek .We had a Premium Sea View room .The sunrise is something Else .Staff are lovely xx
The Corfu Pélagos Hotel is a clear example of how we didn't get what we paid for. When we booked the hotel, we based our bookings on photos showing the rooms were modern, especially the bathroom. But that wasn't what we got. Quite the opposite. We had an old room with pipes sticking out of the floor next to the bed, a 15-inch television, an old bathroom with a cracked sink, and a drain in the floor so we could watch the bathtub water run and the soap suds come out when we washed. As for the location, it's a real downside, as the hotel is on a steep hill where cars have to go in first gear, with the challenge of only passing one car at a time. This meant that whenever there was another car coming in the opposite direction, there was a problem. Finally, the food. It's true that the food is tasty and of high quality, but the variety is limited. If we're unlucky enough not to like the main course, we're left with few options. Another very negative point is the lack of space for eating. If we choose to eat on the terrace, we spend our time missing the immense bees that swarm, to the point that we can't eat outside. If we go inside, the space is small and not air-conditioned. The only saving grace is the friendliness of the staff, who are quite friendly. That said, the island is spectacular, and there are certainly other hotels that do it justice. This isn't one of them. As a 4-star hotel, it's very weak, and it's an option not to consider in this segment.
The hotel it’s a very beautiful place to stay. The food it’s very good, the stuff is friendly and the rooms are very clean, because every day they clean them. The only things that stopped me from giving them 5 stars was the fact that the WiFi was not working properly and the parking area was pretty small, with a very bad access to it. It’s one side with no visibility at all. Like you can’t see if someone is coming out. But the view it was worth. We had a room at the second floor, with sea view. It was absolutely stunning. Never had a room with such a beautiful view. If you can’t see the sea, then this hotel loses a lot of charm for you. You have to buy a room with sea view if you want to enjoy the experience at the fullest.
Family run Greek hotel. We had a massive room, basic but everything you need. Lovely immaculate bathroom. Owners and staff were extremely welcoming and lovely. Food was great. Such a lovely chilled relaxing holiday. Would definately recommend. We had the most amazing time made extra special by the wonderful staff. Thankyou so much to everyone 🥰
As some reviews mentioned , the lovely photos of the modern apartments was not where we stayed. It seems some rooms may be renovated but we got 2 apts. where they were in desperate need of repairs/maintenance etc. Old & dated with pipes sticking out of floor/broken lights & hanging off wall/mould in bathroom/old worn out bath/awful old fridge left there & we used the newer (but still broken )fridge. After 4 days, had to ask for towels (meant to be changed after 2 days) and bedding to be changed. TV was tiny & hardly worked. The only positive was it was spacious & the sea views sunset/rise from the balcony were amazing. For info-the "gym" is a very small room with equipment-although you will not need this if you decide to go out. The hotel is situated on a very steep hill off the high street, so it is near to the shops & beach once you've tackled the horrendous hill. The hill twists and turns and is narrow where cars can't pass each other & if you're tackling the hill you also have to watch out for cars coming & get out of the way, needed a torch in parts at night. This isn't just a problem for people with walking difficulties as it's very steep & not a slope, it's difficult for most people, we've seen a young couple struggling! When you finally get up there, the hotel has another very steep approach. We ended up paying 10 E for a taxi to take us up there each time it was so bad. Most of the websites doesn't mention a hill let alone how steep it is, there should have been warnings.
