This was my second year at Olivar Suites and the staff remembering me from last year made me feel like coming home. The beach bar staff were the highlight of my trip, always welcoming and genuinely warm, and I have to say they make the best Paloma I've had anywhere.
Breakfast was a daily highlight. The staff were so attentive and the food was lovely throughout, especially the banana omelette, which became my go to most mornings.
My room was spacious and always cleaned to a high standard. The turn-down service in the evening was a lovely touch, with a nougat sweet left on the pillow each night. Coffee and everything else was always restocked during the daily clean without me ever having to ask.
Reception staff were very helpful throughout my stay. I'm already planning to return next year and will be booking directly. This place has become my happy place and I can't recommend it enough.
We have just returned from our 3rd stay at Olivar Suites and it was as outstanding as always! Highlights in a completely randomised order were: the attentiveness - bar staff noticing when you have sat down around the pool, on the beach or in Olibar. Glasses of iced water and menus within minutes, the breakfast choices; banana & peanut butter omelette, cookies, homemade cakes & fresh figs to name just a few favourites, the housekeeping was so thorough, efficient and unobtrusive, a vegan whisky sour with our feet in the sand, the cleanliness of everywhere (the pool and surrounding area is methodically cleaned every morning), the cheery staff (we noticed several familiar faces - it comes across as somewhere people love working at, which is a great sign), the beautiful and relaxing landscaping everywhere; pomegranate & lime trees outside your door, with lavender, scented pelargoniums & of course olive trees, the soundproofing (you never hear your neighbours!) and the general 'feel' of the hotel, which is calm and restful.
We stayed in two room categories, the junior suite garden view (#119) followed by the riviera suite sea view (#421), which were both excellent. We tend to book-end our trip by eating in Flya (the hotel's restaurant) twice and then supporting local businesses for the rest of our stay - places to note were Bacchus (a charming family-run taverna right on the seafront, just a few minutes walk), Zazu run by a really lovely couple with a wood-fired oven and fantastic seafood. Mojo's for smash burgers was also very good, again just a few minutes walk and the The Village Taverna - the stifado was insanely good!
We are already planning our 4th visit and need a fix of the Olivar Suites in the diary to look forward to!
Every now and then, a hotel manages to get absolutely everything right — and The Olivar Suites did just that.
Set in a beautiful, tranquil oasis with direct access to the beach, yet just moments from the heart of the village, it somehow manages to feel both wonderfully secluded and perfectly connected.
We stayed in a Riviera Suite (Room 411) with a sea view, and what a view it was. Morning coffee takes on a whole new meaning when you can lie in bed and look out across the panoramic blue of the Ionian Sea, and being able to slip into the sea for an early morning swim, just metres from the room, was pure bliss.
But what really elevated our stay was the people. The entire team were warm, attentive and genuinely keen to make every aspect of our visit special.
A few personal mentions are definitely deserved: Peter, for his heroic rescue of my lost AirPods; Christiana, for her wonderful recommendations, Eugene for his warmth and hotel knowledge; and the Guest Relations team and F&B Manager, who went above and beyond to help me source one of the beautiful Santorini olive oil dishes from the restaurant to take home.
It’s easy for a beautiful hotel to impress, but it’s the people and those thoughtful little touches that stay with you.
The Olivar Suites managed to deliver all of it — beautiful surroundings, fabulous food, genuine hospitality and that rare feeling that you’re somewhere truly special.
We really didn’t want to leave. 💙
An amazing 4 days. Everything was perfect.
The location, right on the beach, was brilliant. The atmosphere was super relaxing and the staff were excellent, attentive but not overbearing. Just wonderful.
We stayed for 9 nights end of August into early September and had a wonderful stay. 40 mins South East of the Airport in Messonghi. We stayed in a Premier Suite with outdoor plunge pool and garden. Lots of space inside and sizeable bedroom and bathroom. We had half board and the food at both breakfast and dinner was delicious with lots of choice. Beach with loungers available There is a convenient supermarket a 1 minute walk from the hotel. Both reception and restaurant/bar staff were really friendly and provided an excellent service. We look forward to coming back.
