Overlooking the Ionian Sea and Gouvia Bay from its slightly elevated position, the elegant Kontokali Bay Resort & Spa is set on a densely wooded peninsula close to Corfu Town. It is surrounded by beautiful gardens with pine and cypress trees; first-class features include a private sandy beach and a seawater infinity pool. The scenic fish taverns and bars as well as the shops of the popular holiday resort of Gouvia are within walking distance. Corfu Town with its archaeological sites is only 6 km away and can be reached within a short drive. A wonderful place for a beach holiday.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have just returned from a 2 week stay at the Kontokali Bay Resort and it really was beautiful, customer service here was incredible all the staff are very polite & helpful and I must include our housekeeper Attimis in this review because she was so hard working and greeted us with a huge smile and a kind word every morning. The hotel has 5 different locations where you can relax and soak up the sun - the pool area, 2 private beaches, the decking area plus a decking strip on the seafront all with plenty of comfy sunbeds, tables and parasols. Breakfast was set out really nicely with lots of different foods to try all of which was delicious. The hotel provided a free bus into Corfu town at 9.30am and returns at 1.30pm which I highly recommend as Corfu town is a delight to visit with loads of shops, bars and restaurants. There was various evening entertainment in the hotel throughout our stay which was good we did feel that drinks in the bar were a little expensive however the bar service was great, we had a wonderful holiday so if your looking for peace & tranquility with a beautiful beach and pool area and great service throughout this is the place to stay.
Just returned from a fantastic 10 days at Kontokali resort. Wow. Rooms, service , location ; the best we've ever stayed in. Food was delicious. Great variety. Staff , extremely helpful, friendly and helped you to feel settled and appreciated.
Excellent hotel we could not fault. Lovely spacious room with welcome bottle of red wine, water, coffee capsules etc. Huge swimming pool, lovely beach with loads of sun loungers. Buffet breakfast outstanding selection. Meals at night high quality and very nice. Lovely staff all friendly and helpful. Can highly recommend. We did the shuttle to Corfu town which we enjoyed and hired a car to get out and explore which we did in the hotel from the Hertz lady. Great holiday! Def recommend this hotel!
A lovely hotel, very clean and staff very friendly. Lovely position and outstanding views Breakfast was nice but drinks afterwards a little expensive. Would have been nice to offer a drinks package or something Entertainment wasn’t great too so it was very quiet at night with little atmosphere which was a shame
We came home on Friday after a fantastic 10 night stay. The hotel is beautiful and immaculate, amazing food and drinks and exceptional staff. We stayed in a garden room which was perfect, really spacious and excellent air con (complimentary). Glad we didn’t upgrade to a sea or bay room - really no need in our opinion! Special shout out to Giannis at the Marina Food court. He knew our regular drink and food order, and our room number (734) without asking and he was so lovely. The two gentlemen at breakfast were delightful and the lovely young lady who served us our morning lattes and afternoon beers by the pool was so smiley and friendly- shame we didn’t get to say goodbye on our last day. The spa was a special treat and Kiki gave the best massages I have ever had - what a kind and gorgeous lady - the highlight of my trip. Should also mention the incredible breakfast buffet! Different choices every day and the biggest selection of cooked food, cereals, fruit, bread, pastries I’ve ever seen… just amazing. Corfu Old Town is an easy bus journey away and well worth visiting in the evenings for drinks and dinner. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful 10 days in beautiful Corfu - we hope to return one day.
