Cooks Club Corfu

We recently spent ten nights at Cooks Club Corfu and overall had a fantastic time. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the hotel. The décor immediately caught our attention from the lobby onwards, with a stylish, modern feel that made a really good first impression. Check-in and First Impressions Check-in was straightforward and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were introduced to the hotel’s app, which is used to order food and provides information such as restaurant opening times. Once we got used to it, we actually found the app really easy and convenient to use. However, we did feel that a little more guidance at check-in would have been helpful. Even though we are reasonably tech-savvy, it took us a little while to work out exactly how everything worked. A simple leaflet or information sheet explaining the app, restaurant opening times and how the dining system worked would have made the process much easier. We were then shown to our room and given a helpful explanation of how to use the air conditioning, the do-not-disturb function and how frequently things such as bottled water, tea and coffee would be replenished. This was a nice personal touch and helped us settle in quickly.

The room itself was beautiful and one of the highlights of our stay. It was stylishly decorated and our balcony had a fantastic view. We could even see the boats out at sea, which made sitting outside and enjoying the view particularly special. There were, however, a couple of issues with cleanliness and the condition of some items in the room. The towels looked quite old and worn, and unfortunately one had noticeable makeup staining on it. We also discovered some broken glass that appeared not to have been completely swept up. Sadly, we both ended up getting small pieces of glass in our feet, which was obviously concerning.

We reported this to reception and, to their credit, they were extremely responsive and keen to resolve the problem. Our room was given a full deep clean, which we really appreciated. The way the staff handled the complaint was reassuring and showed that they genuinely wanted to put things right.

Once we'd got our heads around the app, we really enjoyed the dining experience. There was plenty of variety, with different meals available each day, and we always left feeling full and happy. There was a good selection of food and we never felt that we were eating the same thing over and over again. The drinks were another highlight. There was a great selection of cocktails and other drinks, and we particularly enjoyed the iced tea and Cooks Lemonade. Even the coffee was surprisingly good, which isn't always the case at an all-inclusive hotel!

There were a couple of minor quality-control issues, though. On a few occasions we were given glasses that still had lipstick marks on them, and we also had a wine glass that was noticeably chipped. These were only small things in the context of the overall stay, but they are worth mentioning as they could easily be avoided with a little more attention to checking the glassware before it is served.

One of our favourite parts of the holiday was the quiet pool. We spent a lot of our time there reading, relaxing and occasionally having a nap in the sunshine. The days seemed to disappear whenever we were there, which is probably the best indication of how relaxed and enjoyable we found it! The atmosphere around the quiet pool was exactly what we were looking for. It was a lovely place to switch off and enjoy the sunshine without feeling rushed or overwhelmed.

The lady working at the quiet-pool bar deserves a special mention too. She was absolutely lovely and really added to our experience. She was always friendly and welcoming, remembered our faces and would make a point of saying good morning when we arrived and goodbye when we left. Those little personal touches made a real difference and made us feel genuinely welcomed rather than simply being another guest.

The spa was a wonderful add on too! me and my husband had joint treatments, he had a massage and I had a facial. The ladies I think Marriette and Christina were so kind and wonderful. constantly making sure we were comfortable. It was a lovely addition to our holiday.

We also enjoyed the evening entertainment at the hotel. There was a good atmosphere and it was nice to have something to watch and enjoy after dinner and drinks. Our only real issue was finding somewhere to sit! It could be quite difficult to get a seat, particularly when the entertainment was popular. Our solution was often to enjoy a couple of cocktails and then head back to our room, where we could sit out on the balcony or watch some television.

In fact, some of our favourite evenings were the really simple ones. The hotel has an on-site shop selling things such as soft drinks, bottled water and sweets, which meant we could stock up on some late-night snacks and settle down with a film. It was a lovely way to finish the day and suited the relaxed nature of our holiday perfectly.

The hotel is also well located if you want to explore the surrounding area. It is close to the harbour and beach, with shops nearby as well. One thing to be aware of, however, is that you do need to cross a busy dual carriageway to get to these areas, so this is something to bear in mind when leaving the hotel. For us, this wasn't really an issue because we'd booked an all-inclusive holiday specifically to relax. We found that we had everything we needed within the hotel and didn't feel the need to venture out very much. If you're looking for a holiday where you can spend most of your time by the pool, enjoy plenty of food and drinks and simply switch off, the location worked well for us.

Overall despite a few issues with the towels, glassware and the broken glass in our room, we had a really enjoyable ten-night stay at Cooks Club Corfu. Importantly, when we did have a problem, the staff were quick to respond and did their best to resolve it, which we appreciated. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, our room was lovely, the views were fantastic, and we particularly enjoyed the food, drinks and relaxed atmosphere around the quiet pool. The evening entertainment was enjoyable too, although more seating would definitely have been appreciated.

Once we understood how the app worked, it made ordering food and navigating the dining options very straightforward, although we think better information on arrival would make the experience easier for new guests.

For us, Cooks Club Corfu delivered exactly the type of holiday we wanted: relaxing, comfortable and centred around good food, drinks, sunshine and having very little to worry about. There are definitely a few areas where the hotel could improve, particularly housekeeping, checking towels and glassware, and providing clearer information about the app. However, these issues didn't take away from what was, overall, a fantastic holiday.

We had a brilliant ten nights and came away feeling relaxed, well-fed and very happy with our stay.

Just left here after a weeks stay with my partner. We really are not people to complain and takes a lot for us to get annoyed but we really didn’t have a great experience here. Atmosphere was off - a weird vibe in the hotel and pool area and no one seemed to look like they were having a good time. This hotel is very much ‘instagramable’ and the guests here seemed to care too much about how they look rather than actually having a good time. Everyone sat around the pool and you get started at if you look like you are having a laugh. The majority of the staff were rude and seemed to hate their job. They would slam drinks down infront of us and overall had a rude manner. There is no table service, you have to go to the bar and queue for drinks and the drinks are so small. By time you’ve sat back down on the sunbed, had a few sips then it’s time to get another drink and get back up again. For an apparently 5* hotel we wouldn’t expect to keep getting up to order drinks. Same in the evening at dinner. No one comes around offering drinks or water, you have to get up and stand at the bar to order a drink. In the morning you have to stand in a long queue for the coffee machine. I’ve never been to a hotel where tea and coffee isn’t brought to the table in the morning. We went to both al a carte restaurants, both average. Not much variety. Had to pay 5 euros for water! Overall did not enjoy this hotel and wouldn’t come back. We came for a relaxing holiday and I felt like I spent most of my time waiting at the bar!
Dont come to this hotel if you are looking for something where you can dance or have a laugh - it’s very serious and you will be judged if you have fun

I had a massage with Marileta and it was excellent! My therapist was very kind and made me feel very comfortable! I definitely recommend a visit to the spa.
