We often believe that a memory is an image we get from a beautiful landscape or a rare experience. However, the memories we actually hold on for a lifetime are the ones that were inscribed through the feelings we experienced at a certain moment. For us, feelings are the memories we create. It’s the feeling that you get staying at Mayor Mon Repos Palace “Art Hotel”, an iconic, adults only hotel in Corfu made for serene moments. Located on the edge of Garitsas Gulf, with views of the Ionian Sea and the old Venetian Fort in Corfu town, authentic and premium hospitality awaits in the historic Mon Repos Palace Hotel, where elegance meets luxury and classic meets contemporary. Its location, just a breath away from the city, makes Mon Repos Palace Hotel the ultimate Corfu town hotel with 4 star luxuries while its design, with selected 18th century antiques from the Achillion Palace, justifies its classification as an Art Hotel. For you, it’s ground zero for your exploration of Corfu and simultaneously the pinnacle of your stay. Mon Repos Palace Hotel rooms offer comfort and luxury through classic and minimal styles and touches. Most of them offer panoramic views to the Ionian Sea or Corfu’s Fort for you to enjoy, while the nearest beach is about 20 meters away. The exquisite hospitality of this Corfu town hotel of 4 star luxuries is completed by the Passaggio Bistrot Restaurant, with its rich flavors and regular music events, popular among the locals, as well as visitors. We welcome you at Corfu’s top adults-only Art Hotel and we promise a unique hospitality experience, inspired by the luxury of an old era.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Had a sea view room on 2nd floor (234) on the plus side, a nice, large room. Sadly the bathroom is in dire need of a complete refit. The tiles were filthy and cracked, lots of discoloured grout, not a pleasant room at all! The balcony was a tight squeeze for two people, but the view was lovely. Quite noisy at night from guests banging the balcony doors, and traffic noise. Didn't manage to get a sunbed for the whole week The highlight was the restaurant. The choice for both breakfast and the buffet dinners was excellent. Varied, tasty and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly, efficient and helpful, in particular Ioanna, Ferdi, Alexandra and Marjun. We did get the impression that some of the staff were intimidated by the very stern looking restaurant manager who had a look that could curdle milk! Overall, a nice hotel that needs improvement in places.
A lovely hotel made extra special by the staff nothing and nothing was too much trouble. We had a sea view room, which was perfect, yes the shower situation wasn't the best, but we managed and wouldn't stop us staying again. Breakfast was great as well as the buffet dinner, very good value. It is a perfect location, a short walk from the town and many fantastic restaurants near by. Couldn't have chosen a better birthday treat. Thank you all for making this a memorable stay.
The hotel is situated in a quiet part of Corfu town. It is at least a 30min walk into the old town. There is a frequent bus service but we found taking a taxi was expensive for a 10 minute journey. Some taxis charged 15 Euro's others 10. Right on the sea front most of the rooms offered breath taking views of the sea. Most rooms offer a lateral sea view. The rooms are quite small with inadequate storage space and the bathroom needs attention. The bed and pillows ensure a good night sleep. The rest of the hotel is very classy full of character very clean. Whilst there is a pool it's small and only provides 10 sun lounges. However across the road a lovely restaurant which offers plenty of sun lounges looking out to see. The breakfast for me was adequate. The highlight of our stay were the staff. They were fantastic. Respectful and professional attentive excellent service. Overall a most enjoyable stay
Lovely traditional style hotel in a residential area of Corfu Town. Yes the pool is quite small with a limited number of sunbeds but it is the only hotel in town with a pool and is adequate for dipping in and out to cool off. The bathroom was quite small and dated but it didn’t spoil our stay. We were given a room with a beautiful sea view which we did not expect. The whole place was kept immaculately clean. The highlight was the dining experiences, plenty of freshly prepared and cooked food at both breakfast and in the evening, with very helpful staff who seemed happy and proud to be working here. In the evenings it was noticeable that many locals were eating in the restaurant. There are a lot of smaller family run tavernas in the near vicinity which we also visited. It was also a relatively short - if warm at this time of year - walk both in and out of town, though some lovely shaded parts and parks, alongside the waterfront. We would definitely book to come back.
Lovely hotel. Friendly staff, simple check in, great breakfast! Located about 30 minutes walk from the centre of Corfu Town. Good restaurants nearby. Small pool that we didn’t get the chance to use as loungers were always full but lovely restaurant across the road with plenty of loungers and sea access.
Well maintained & clean!
