Located in a quiet side street, the hotel is very close to Corfu town's historic Spianada and guests have easy access, on foot, to all the important sites and attractions of Kerkyra: Liston, the two great fortresses, museums and Corfu town's fine restaurants, shops and cafes. The hotel, housed in a gloriously restored neo-classical mansion, is an oasis of calmness in the heart of the island's vibrant city. Originally built as the 19th-century residence of one of the island's prominent families, in the 20th century the edifice served as a consulate, the National Bank of Greece, and a high school for Corfiot schoolgirls. In 1988, the apricot-hued stately home became a hotel known for the Most Serene Republic and in 2006 it was lovingly renovated to serve the needs of third-millennium guests from all over the world. The hotel comprises 31 rooms with ancient charm, yet fitted with all comforts of modern life. ROOM DESCRIPTION: “Classic double/twin room”: located on the ground floor (with view to the garden or town) or first floor (with view to the town/park). "Standard double/twin room": located on the second/top floor. These are the most peaceful rooms & have smaller horizontal windows with limited view because the hotel is a listed building. Location is really nice, rooms are nice, airy,and super clean! linen excellent. Very quiet, even those days that the hotel offers music in the hall. very well decorated, it's got the venetian atnosphere. Service could't be better! Everyone is willing to help, and make you feel really special. Breakfast served in the garden deserves a special note. Everything in Bella Venezia is of the highest quality. It's good value for money!! I can't wait to be back.
What a great choice! Ideally situated to explore the town, literally minutes away. A beautiful hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Complimentary wine and water on arrival, with fresh water every day. Breakfast lovely- lots of choices, taken in attractive gardens to the rear of the hotel, served by George and an attentive team. A bag of treats given on departure...a nice touch. We highly recommend this hotel, and thank them for a wonderful stay.
This beautiful hotel is a well-maintained historic building. The staff's service is impeccable, from friendly greetings to prompt service and attention to detail. They attended to every need promptly and with a smile. In particular, Konstantina went above and beyond, setting up an excursion for us when we mentioned that the one we pre-booked had been canceled at the last minute. Because the excursion left early in the morning, she arranged a boxed breakfast for us to take with us. The included breakfast is top-notch, with a wide variety of selections, including made-to-order omelets, fresh fruit, and freshly baked breads. One evening, there was live, traditional music in the lobby/bar area. Oh, and the bar also offers fantastic drinks! Be sure to try the Corfu Buzz, a specialty drink unique to this establishment, made with Kumquat liquor native to Corfu. This hotel is perfectly located, close to the airport and an easy walk to both the waterfront and the heart of Corfu Town, where all the shops and restaurants are. Yet it sits on a quieter street, so it is a great retreat when you want to get out of the action. It is just perfect! I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
We spent a wonderful week in Corfu staying at the Bella Venezia Hotel. We we welcomed warmly and each and every member of staff was absolutely exceptional in their care, attentiveness and hospitality. We loved our stay with you. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.
