- Potamaki Beach Hotel
This bright beachfront property places its guests at the perfect location for a sun-soaked holiday. They will be at just 20 metres from the sun loungers and the sandy strip, where they can spend their days simply relaxing and enjoying the perfect weather. Onsite they can also find a fresh-water swimming pool with large pool terrace equipped with umbrellas, sun beds and a shady garden offering an escape from the crowds and the noise. The youngest guests will have their very own pool and a children area where they can have fun all day long, while they parents keep an eye on them from the nearby snack bar. The centre of the village of Benitses is a short 5-minute walk away and there one can find a large selection of restaurants and bars, but the hotel's very own dining venue offers a taste of the best of the Greek cuisine and beverages.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Our stay at the Potomaki Beach hotel was great. Everything in the hotel was thought of. You could see that it is a hotel with experience and traditions cultivated over time. I especially liked the view of the sunrise from the room window over the sea and musical evenings. We will probably return to the hotel someday.
My daughter and I had the most wonderful experience staying at the Potomaki hotel. The staff were experienced, helpful and super friendly. They always looked pleased to see you and answered any questions I might have in remarkable English. They had great knowledge of the local area and were informative of buses to Corfu town. The breakfast selection was hugely varied and included both continental and cooked. My favourite being the Greek yoghurt and koliva. Again the staff here were fabulous. The bar and surrounding area was lovely. There was a step up to the bar but the staff would come to you if you couldn't get. The bar snacks and food were delicious. In the evening there was entertainment 3 times a week but apart from that quiet. Which I personally loved. Our rooms were clean, maybe a little dated, but for the price we paid, more than adequate. Our room was towards the back , with a balcony overlooking the pool and partial seaview. The cleaners were excellent and very kind and friendly. The beach was just over the road, with sunbeds and umbrellas. The cost was €7 each but includes a drink, which is delivered to you. The beach itself is clean with beautiful clear sea. I have an electric wheelchair which fortunately fitted into the lift. However I am ambulatory which is fortunate as I had to stand and squeeze in to the side to fit. A scooter I think would be difficult. Overall A most fantastic time
The beach and the location are unique; you just need to avoid the busiest times of the day. After all, it is an island and options are limited, yet absolutely everything is nearby—even a forest and a river—along with wonderful views that make you never want to leave.
Everything at the hotel /rooms, clear sea water, service, food, reception etc/ was wonderful. Near the Potamaki Beach Hotel there is a bus station and every 1/2 hour we can take a bus to the capital city Kerkyra. Very good place!! I recommend.
A great 3 Star Hotel wonderful staff, good standard of housekeeping by a lovely team of ladies, lots of music the nights we stayed which gave a great atmosphere, beach just opposite is shingle and stones further out (beach shoes good idea) but has the usual recliners etc and drinks service (you pay for the recliners at peek times but get a drink included) wished it had tea making facilites in all the rooms as wife always in need or tea especially late at night
