My husband and I have just returned from a seven night stay at this gem of a hotel.

We were allocated room 605, right at the top of the hill.  The views were glorious and worth the effort.  On arrival the minibus took us and our luggage to our room.   It was small but had everything we needed for our stay including air conditioning, a kettle, cups, glasses and a fridge.  There was a TV with one English speaking channel (Sky news) and a safety deposit box on a shelf at eye level (not on the floor as in previous reviews), which was free).  Everything was spotlessly clean with towels changed as often as you wanted.  The only thing that would have improved the room would have been a slightly bigger shower as the shower curtain stuck to you when wet.  There was also a hairdryer and hand / body wash.

The pool area was lovely with plenty of sun beds.  The pool bar served very good and reasonably priced food.  There was background music, not loud and annoying.  Towels could be hired for a €10 deposit each and exchanged as often as you wanted.

In the restaurant the food was great with plenty to suit all tastes.  Yes there were cats, but if you ignored them they left you alone.  They never went near the food.  The wasps were a pain, but didn’t spoil our meals.

The bar had an amazing outlook across the bay towards Corfu Town.  You could sit either in or outside.  The entertainment consisted of live music or football (the Euros were on TV).  It was neither loud or obtrusive.  

All the staff were lovely and spoke excellent English.  

The location was good with a supermarket no more than 150 meters away.  The bus stop was at the bottom of the hill, with buses going to either Corfu Town (€2.40 each way) or to Kassiopi (€2 each way).

I would certainly recommend this hotel for a quiet relaxing holiday.

A gem of a hotel

I stayed here in May 2024 for two weeks on level 6. I asked for a room on one of the higher levels because I wanted a nice view but beware! This hotel is built on the side of the mountain and you will need to walk up a very steep mountain to get to your room. There is a taxi that can take you up but by the time it comes, you might as well just walk up. On a positive note, my fitness level was much better leaving. Climbing up the hill every day also helped burn-off all the food and cocktails that I consumed during my stay here. 

- If you don't like insects, there were quite large centipedes crawling all over the walls in the room at night. Thankfully there were no spiders. 
- The airco in my room did not work when I arrived late at night. The first night was very sweaty but it was eventually fixed on the second or third day. After it was fixed I walked passed the receptionist a few hours later and she asked if the issues had been solved. A nice touch. 
- There is  no wifi on level 5 or 6 in the rooms. Appallingly slow even down by reception. If wifi is a must then get a room on level 1 or 2. 
- A yapping small dog (rat) woke me up at night so may times throughout my stay here. During the day it walks around the reception so it must belong to somebody there. I was glad to come home so I could finally have some sleep. 
- No hot water 6-7am one morning
- The lights next to bed need to be much brighter.  Reading my book was difficult. 
- Awful hotel entertainment is thankfully only in a Friday. Go to the cocktail bar down the road called 7 Sins - amazing!
- Please put strong hooks on the inside of the toilet door next to the restaurant downstairs to let guests hang up their things. I don't want to put my bag on the dirty floor
- The courtesy room for the end of the stay needs to be more than a sweaty, steamy shower downstairs. People want to be leave feeling refreshed and clean, not all wet as if they’ve just had a sauna. Use one of the rooms.

I did have a lovely time here. There are positive and negative to points to every hotel. If they fixed the above issues then I would definitely go back.

Really friendly and helpful staff, clean, nice enough food

I have absolutely nothing to complain about: everything was excellent during my family and my accommodation at this pittoresque hotel: From the very beginning we were welcomed with large smiles at the reception, Ms. Eleftheria was the receptionists that welcomed us, and also the one that we said goodbye to. The rooms are exactly what you need when you come back after a long day at the beach, under the greek sun: very clean, the shower has good pressure, hot water comes immediately, the shower gel is completed daily, the sheets are changed every 3 days, the towels, daily; the AC works great, but the most important thing is the view to the Ionian Sea! At the restaurant, everyone is smiling for real, no fake smiles, everybody just uses every second to help you. The girls at the breakfast and dinner are basically running to make up the tables, to clean them up, to bring new food, which by the way is very varied, you can eat almost every day something new. The guys with the minivan do a great job bringing up and down the street lazy tourists like me. Sorry if i forgot something, and the conclusion is simple as that: after seeing half of Europe, Hotel Pantokrator is in my top 3 hotels.

Top 3 hotels I've been at. 

We have just returned from a 10 night half board stay at this hotel in a deluxe double room booked via Jet2.
On arrival after a quick check in we were driven to our room 304, an end room with fabulous side and front views. The room was delightful with a huge comfortable firm bed with crisp white linen and a choice of two types of pillows. The room had air conditioning, full size fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen TV, dressing table and bedside tables, the only lighting being soft wall lights. A walk in storage area proved a large clothes rail with hangers, a hanging shoe rack, a large block of storage cubes and a small safe. The bathroom provided a lovely glass screened shower cubicle, toilet, handbasin and hairdryer. Shower / shampoo gel and hand gel as well as toilet paper were in plentiful supply. The towels and linen were changed regularly and the room was always cleaned well. It was so comfortable. The safe and air conditioning were free of charge. Tea and coffee sachets were not replaced, but there is a supermarket not far from the hotel.
We had a decent size balcony with two arm chair sized chairs and a glass table. A drying rack was also provided.
In terms of items to take with you I would suggest some extra coat hangers, a few pegs, tea bags and coffee and hair conditioner if you can't live without it!

The food in the restaurant and the pool bar was probably the best we have had on holiday in terms of choice and taste. Greek food was in abundance and was well received. The pool bar food being great value for money, tuna club sandwiches and hand made pizzas are well worth trying. The staff were attentive and friendly and food was constantly being replenished. Bar prices were reasonable and the cocktails looked amazing although we stuck to beer, wine and water. 

The pool area was large and sun bed availability was never an issue. 
The staff are amazing and we loved interacting with them. It really was a pleasure to stay here!
The hotel has more of a hotel village feel to it due to the layout and was quiet and relaxing and well kept. The price you pay for the fantastic views is the not so fantastic hill walking to get about but it did get easier the longer we were there! The hotel offers transport should you need it.
The public areas are modern and well thought out, no expense spared here.
We had a great relaxing holiday and would like to say a big thank you to all of the staff as well as the ever present and friendly owners.
We would suggest that every hotel in Corfu should aspire to the high standards delivered by this gem of a hotel!

We went for a week, superior sea view, half board. Check in quick and good, a minibus took us up the hill to block 2. Amazing sea view and a large balcony with 3 chairs and a table. Bed faced towards the same sea view so you could lay looking out. This hotel is built against the mountain so if you have mobility issues this hotel is not for you, the steep incline from road you to hotel is exhausting in the heat, then you have the same distance again to your room (depending on your block), yes a minibus runs every half hour up and down (apparently). Our room air con was fierce and worked superbly to battle the heat. TV had no English, all in German. Room did not receive Wi-Fi connection. Mini market 100 yards away and open till 10pm. Pool area nice, more shade would have been nicer. Plenty of sun loungers plus a seating area. Snack bar available. Small gym but open to the elements overlooking the pool area. Kettle in room and enough storage area for clothes. Catering for breakfast and dinner did not excite, you will not go hungry, but it does not ‘wow’ you. 
Housekeeping change towels every 2 days and bedding every 3, housekeeping staff do a nice job. Entertainment only a Friday and was rubbish, no other entertainment for the week we were there so painfully quiet so be warned. Would I return ?……I would not, because of no Wi-Fi, TV channels, lack of entertainment, the steep incline but it is a nice hotel.
