Polis

Set in a stunning location at the centre of the Polis bay, right on a very long stretch of sandy beach and surrounded by beautiful Mediterranean orchards and gardens, the hotel overlooks the renowned Akamas Peninsula Nature Reserve. The bus station is around 1 km away. Paphos International Airport is situated approximately 45 km from the hotel and Larnaca International Airport is some 175 km away.

Renovated in 2011, this family-run hotel and villa complex is a truly unique holiday retreat, with a strong environmental ethos. Away from the noise of traffic and the activity of the town, while at the same time being only a 20-minute walk from the centre of the small town, which offers a variety of picturesque coffee shops and tavernas, this hotel guarantees a peaceful and relaxing stay close to nature. The air-conditioned establishment welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. It features a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a TV lounge, a café, a bar and conference facilities. In addition, wireless Internet access and a car park are provided. For additional fees guests may make use of the room and laundry services and bicycle hire.

Each of the eight villas has its own swimming pool and two or three bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. A spacious veranda opens into the citrus groves and the large first floor terrace offers a beautiful view of the bay. Each villa has a lounge and dining room, a well equipped kitchenette, individually regulated air conditioning and heating in all rooms, satellite TV, a direct dial telephone, a safe deposit box and a private car park. Further standard amenities include a shower, hairdryer, double beds, Internet access, a fridge, cooker, microwave and ironing set.

Wonderful 12 day stay,June 2026

Just back from a 12 day stay at this lovely hotel, arrived on 10 June till 22nd June. The setting is stunning, beautiful sunset every night. The hotel is low key, laid back, quiet and peaceful. Officially 3 star but better than some 4 star hotels I've stayed in. I found all the staff to be helpful and friendly. The pool area is beautiful and there are plenty of sunbeds either near the pool, at the beach or on the grass. I stayed Half Board and ate here every night. The food was great, I'm a very picky eater and wasn't sure if I'd find enough on the buffet in the evenings that I liked but I needn't have worried. Choice of at least 5 hot dishes and veg, salad. The Beef Stifado was amazing! Plenty of choice at breakfast with hot and cold options and lots of fruit. The housekeeping service was excellent, and the room was modern, comfortable and clean, the bed was very comfy. The air con was adequate. I had a sea view room (room 17, in the main building), the view was stunning over the pool and lawn to the sea. The location of the hotel is a little out of the way, around a 20 min walk to the centre of Polis for bars, restaurants and shops. The local taxi service was great, 10 Euros to Polis and 15 E to Latchi to the harbour and boat trips. A bus to Paphos from the bus station in Polis takes around an hour and costs 2 Euros. Made a new little friend, Aris, Cocker Spaniel belongs to the hotels owners ❤️. There are a few very friendly and well cared for cats too.

Perfect solo holiday

Natura beach hotel was my first ever solo holiday and it was fabulous! The morning after I arrived I asked reception if they’d help me close my patio door, they realised it was quite tricky to lock and decided as I was travelling alone that they would upgrade me to a sea view room without me asking. The restaurant was brilliant with lots of different options to choose from. All staff were outstanding and I even enjoyed a chat with the gaffer and his pup. Pools were perfect and the beach was beautiful, very private and perfect for a relaxing holiday.

Poor experience

Well if you are looking for a nice holiday avoid this place like the plague! It is a very tired property lots of work is needed from a safety aspect loose tiles, broken pool ladders dirty sun beds to name but a few. The staff are rude when it suits them and surly at times. The beach is dirty and be careful of metal in the sand. It is also inaccessible unless you are fairly agile.so no good imo for children or older swimmers. The food is some of the poorest I have had it’s like a scramble for the food and then when you do sit down and start eating… a rude waitress says that’s a table for four can you move instead of moving placemats just no clue whatsoever! I thought I would enjoy the rustic experience but it is not authentic even the bread is out of a packet. It is clearly trying to be something it is not and really the food quality and choice is poor. The only nice thing I have eaten is the Greek yoghurt which was very good. Overall a poor experience and I would not recommend anyone who is used to a nice hotel to stay there!

Not great!! 👎

The location is lovely. Fantastic view of the sea but misleading as the stone beach is accessible down rickety wooden steps. Not good if you have mobility issues. Not particularly a clean beach, nor worthy of swimming in.

Rooms reasonable, basic. No kettle, sockets dodgey and needed replacing (room 63!) had to support plugs for them to remain in

Fridge ok but does not get very cold, nor adjustable.

Bathroom, average. Poor lighting.

Aircon good

Bedding cleaned and along with towels, changed every 2/3 days.

Breakfast pretty much ok. Various choices. Advise going early as it can be quite busy from 8.30 am onwards.

Restaurant staff hardworking - not all local nationals, but they were pleasant.

Hotel atmosphere is not great. Local staff not very friendly nor welcoming- except one staff member who went out of their way to- Geaninia. A very lovely member of staff.

The bar staff need to be much more welcoming. There is no atmosphere, gentle music nor smiles. Cocktails are very poor, everything seemed to be too much trouble. Very disappointing. You get you were putting in them all the time.

There is a lovely reception area, plenty of seating but just wasted as nothing happens. Two additional rooms off from here too, but no atmosphere there either. There’s a pool table but nothing else.

The pool - main pool - it’s a good size but not one day in the two weeks we were there, was the water clear! You could not see you feet on the bottom of the pool! It’s if flies/insects and sun cream residue floating. The steps are dodgy and unsafe in all honesty! If you are not very agile, take care! I fell off the first day as they were very loose and lost my footing, ending up with a horrendous bruise from knee to ankle !

Polis and Latchi are 5-10 mins away - urged hire a care or get a taxi - taxi service is very good!

Various nationalities stay there but no one seemed to want to acknowledge one another! Tried to say hello, the usual pleasantries but not worth it! The local cats are better company!

Overall, place was far too quite - which is what we wanted, but this place was beyond quite and no atmosphere!

Do not recommend! 🙁

Ps. Great sunset!!

HEALTH & SAFETY IS NOT THEIR CONCERN

Rented a 3 bed villa (Villa No. 3) with pool for a week. I had a pleasant one night stay at this hotel a few weeks ago and decided to book a Villa for the family. I booked directly. On a positive note clean sheets, towels, toilet paper and dish liquid are provided twice a week and Villa guests are allowed to use the hotel facilities. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which was nice. The cleaning crew are very friendly and greet you with a smile. Most of the staff at the hotel are also very friendly.

Unfortunately, however, Villla No 3, both house and garden are poorly maintained, so we had broken tiles indoors and outdoors, dirty/stained curtains and furniture and a rotten kitchen cabinet under the sink that stunk of mildew. Being so close to natural surroundings, rodents, ants, cockroaches, spiders etc.. are expected but not to this degree. The house inside was filled with spiders, cobwebs, ants etc... You don't need to drop a crumb to get ants. We went through 10 cans of Aroxol (green) bug spray to make the place bearable, and we had to keep one by the pool and in each room especially for the night visitors. Outside you can watch very large mice and/or rats (they're too fast for me to tell the difference) run and climb from tree to tree in your garden and back and forth from neighbor's villas. Sometimes we would see them run across the back perimeter wall.

Every morning two people came to maintain the pool; they would sweep the bottom with a broom and catch insects and debree with the use of the pool net. Sometimes they would use a blower to blow away all the tree fallings on the veranda. Then they would either start or turn off the filter. POOL FILTER IS ONLY TURNED ON EVERY OTHER DAY! Thus, you only have a clean pool for half of your stay. If you want a pool on the day your filter is off, you have to use the hotel's pool. Also, the pool filter is solar powered, so even on the days it is turned on it does not operate all day since the area gets a lot of shade from the tall trees.

The garden area around the pool is covered with dried twigs and leaves. (I did notice that some other villas had a better maintained garden area around their pool.) There was a large HOLE in our garden (next to the veranda) due to a corroded manhole cover. It was not visible due to twigs and leaves and my son almost fell in when he stepped on it. This was very dangerous for my grandson who is just under 3 years of age, not to mention the thought of what may be crawling in and out of there. We advised the person in charge who came to see it. He was considerate and promised to move us to another villa (Villa No 1) the next day. The next day we packed and were ready upon notice to move as promised but they refused saying that the Owner, Mrs. Maro, would not allow it. I asked to speak with her but I was told "she would not come". I was so upset and felt they were treating us unfairly. I told them I was going to report them and that we were going to check out but unfortunately, we couldn't find another 3 bed available since it's peak season. The fact that we could only use our pool every other day meant that we would be out of the villa half the time so we covered the hole with their garden furniture, unpacked and bought more bug spray. That afternoon someone from reception came to see us and suggested we go speak with the husband of this lady and try to convince him to change our villa. I do not like to beg and I couldn't take another negative, inconsiderate response. You would think that they would be more concerned about the safety of their guests and have requested themselves that we change villas. During the week they didn't even bother to send someone to cover the hole and Villa No 1 remained unoccupied.
