- The King Jason Hotel
This impressive hotel is located in a residential area in Kato Paphos, within walking distance from the seafront and beach. This lovely establishment offers elegant facilities and excellent services to cater for all guests' needs. There are spacious and light-filled superior studios, deluxe studios, one-bedroom suites and excutive suites. The guestrooms open on to a beautiful oasis of peace and serenity in which to completely relax at all times. There are 4 swimming pools to choose, 3 outdoor and one indoor, two of which are heated in winter. Buffet meals with theme nights are offered in the Patiakia restaurant, the indoor lounge bar is open till midnight and the Deck bar is available until 6 pm from May till October. There is also a health spa with a fitness room, a sauna, steam cubicles and a treatment room offering a variety of massages at a charge.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Value for money. Staff pleasant and helpful. Food good, could be hotter, watch the plates on the buffet they can be extremely hot when picking up. Restaurant can feel like a canteen at times. Rooms a little tired but aircon good and cleaned daily. You can always get a sunbed but you are crammed like sardines, which isn’t great when you have someone’s feet inches from your head. Pools small not suitable for swimming which we like to do on hols, big disappointment for us. Drinks plentiful and good quality. Position is not great long walk in heat to harbour, there is a shuttle bus buts gets packed. Would imagine hotel more relaxed outside peak time but as said is good value for money. For older couples.
Food here is absolutely superb . The best all inclusive that we have ever had, so much so we didn’t ever feel the need to eat out . The Peruvian restaurant is also a must, there the food is amazing and it’s a treat being served . We had an executive suite which was a beautiful room . The view wasn’t as good as other rooms but it didn’t deter from the room . Entertainment was the only thing that let this hotel down . The last but one night there was a dj in the pool bar and the pool bar was full that evening . There is a clientele of older residents but bearing in mind not everyone of an age wants to hear someone on the keyboards killing a song so having the dj was a pleasant surprise. No sunbed wars at all even coming down at 10 am you get some . The staff are extremely attentive and offer drinks service around the pools . As long as you understand it’s a residential area and about a 10 to 15 mins walk to harbour you cannot go wrong with this hotel . Giving a 4 would be harsh I’d say a 4.5 but that’s not available . The management come around to check everything is ok and Keira the lady on reception is very interested in your views and listens to you . They also look after the resident cats which is wonderful to see . We will be back but want to explore other countries . I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel especially if you want a relaxing chilled holiday with good food and drink . Special thanks to Nicholas at pool bar he’s a credit to the hotel
First time to this hotel, everything great Food very good, plenty of choice, premium drinks but make sure you ask for them or you will get local ones Toiletries provided including toothbrushes Lovely big pool towels , free pool bag Yes main pool gets crowded but we always found beds at one of the other pools every day Spa great and massage wonderful I think some of the negative reviews are people being picky All the staff seemed to get on well, we noted lots of laughter and a few hugs to each other , however as I don’t speak Cypriot I can only go off their body language and that was good Can’t wait to try another king Jason next year Would recommend 100%
A genuinely special hotel with management who really care
We stayed at the King Jason Paphos in one of the Executive Suites after spending quite a lot of time researching hotels in the area, and overall we have come away genuinely impressed.
The hotel itself is beautiful. It has a calm, relaxed atmosphere, the communal areas are immaculately maintained, and the whole property has a premium feel without being stuffy. Our Executive Suite was spacious, comfortable and exactly the kind of environment we had hoped for when booking a break where we could properly switch off.
The adults-only atmosphere makes a huge difference too. There is a real sense of calm around the hotel, and when everything comes together, it is exactly the relaxing environment we were looking for.
We did experience a couple of relatively small frustrations at the beginning of our stay, mainly around service and finding available sunbeds. We raised these with the hotel, and honestly, what happened afterwards probably told us more about the quality of the King Jason than if absolutely everything had been perfect from day one.
Maria from the management team spoke with us personally and was exceptional.
She genuinely cared that our experience had not initially matched the standards the hotel sets for itself. There were no excuses, no defensiveness and no attempt to minimise anything we had raised. She listened, took ownership and went far beyond anything we could reasonably have expected to make sure the rest of our stay was everything it should be.
That level of service recovery was genuinely impressive.
Kira, another member of the management team, also deserves a special mention. Every time she saw us she seemed to make a point of coming over to say hello, often practically running towards us! It never felt forced or like somebody simply doing their job. She genuinely seemed pleased to see us and wanted to know that we were enjoying ourselves.
The gentleman who manages the food and beverage operation was exactly the same. Whenever he saw us, he would come over, say hello and actually stop to ask how our day was going. Not the automatic “everything okay?” that you sometimes get in hotels before somebody disappears again, but a genuine conversation where you could tell he actually wanted to know.
Those little interactions make an enormous difference.
By the end of the stay, we didn’t feel like room numbers or anonymous hotel guests. We felt recognised and genuinely looked after.
The wider team work incredibly hard, the hotel is kept beautifully, and there is clearly a very high standard expected throughout the property.
What impressed us most is that the few small issues we experienced at the beginning were not simply acknowledged. The hotel went far beyond anything we would have expected to put them right, and from that point onwards the level of attention and care we received was outstanding.
For me, that is the real test of a five-star hotel.
Any hotel can deliver a great experience when everything goes perfectly. What separates the genuinely excellent ones is how they respond when something isn’t quite right. The King Jason demonstrated that its reputation matters to its management, but more importantly, so do its guests.
By the end of our stay, those initial minor frustrations had been completely overshadowed by what became a genuinely lovely experience.
A huge thank you in particular to Maria, Kira and the food and beverage manager, all of whom stood out for the warmth and genuine personal attention they showed us.
We now completely understand why the King Jason has built such a strong reputation.
We would absolutely recommend it and, most importantly, we would happily return.
I cannot thank everyone at the King Jason hotel for the most amazing holiday. Thomas, Kira, Mustapha, Jabed, Sophie, Oksana, Salah, Niru and all the team (apologies for those I have missed), work so tirelessly to ensure everyone has the most wonderful stay. From the moment we arrived on a friend's trip, we were treated like VIPs. Prosecco and chocolates on arrival, taken quickly to a gorgeous, spacious and modern room (with great A/C!) to be able to rest from a late flight before we could experience how special this hotel really is. The four swimming pools are stunning, so clean and the perfect temperature to spend time in and relax, I've never stayed in a hotel with such a large hydro pool and it was like being in a spa. I did visit the actual spa and had a brilliant massage, good value and was a nice treat towards the end of the holiday. The sunbeds by the pool are like lying in a bed, so comfortable! And we never felt we needed to get up extra early to get them. There is waiter service by the pool so you don't even have to move to get a drink! The hotel also has a library which guests can leave books and share, I love this as I read a lot on holiday and was nice to have a range of books to choose from. The exceptional food throughout our stay was another bonus, fresh local produce everyday with varied and thoughtful menus, never once felt I needed to go out to eat, the problem was not stopping! The a la carte restaurant was also equally fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed the food and service there too. The drinks we had were of a very high standard, cocktails were delicious and made with branded alcohol, there was also a good selection of wine and prosecco on the all inclusive package. The entertainment is pretty much a singer or musician every night, some better than others! But didn't take away from the rest of the experience at this incredible hotel. Would be nice to have some different entertainment, maybe a quiz or movie night, but Paphos harbour and old town are just a short taxi ride away. There was nothing that was too much trouble, everyone was very friendly and professional and I miss it already! I loved it so much that I booked to come back in September before I'd even left the hotel this time. Thank you to all the staff who made this such a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
