We were here at the end of June for 10 days all inclusive. Check in was quick and easy and was a late flight so missed dinner but were provided with a sandwich which was very welcome. Had a room in the main hotel overlooking the pool with a balcony which was well worth it. Kettle, tea and coffee provided. Room was a little dated but clean, well maintained and comfortable. Decent sized pool set with nice gardens which was well after and sun beds available all the time we were there. House keeping was good with fresh towels and daily cleaning with no issues. Daytime activities were a little lacking but suited me as more interested in feet up or getting out and about. The hotel is in a bit of a back street but you would not notice when in there. Bus stop to the harbour on the main road with a few local shops for essentials less than 5 minutes away. A lovely walk from there along the coast to the harbour in about 15 minutes. The food was good with a different theme every night. All well cooked and tasty but as always got a little repetitive. Plenty of local produce/dishes to choose from but can recommend the cooked to order omelettes for breakfast. Evening entertainment was decent enough with local performers but bingo is not for me thanks. There are cats everywhere in Cyprus so be prepared as they are all over the hotel but didn’t bother me as I knew in advance. All the staff we encountered were courteous, polite and helpful. I never repeat a holiday but I would recommend this hotel to anyone based on my experience.
Not long back from a great week at Paphos Gardens! In short, would we return? Yes.
Food/Drink We were BB so cannot comment on evening meals. Breakfast was plentiful and something for everyone, cereal, fruits, hot breakfast and cold. Not sure if veggie sausages have hit Cyprus yet, but not here however plenty of other choices. The staff don't stop clearing and cleaning up to ensure everyone can sit quickly. Only used the bar a few times but quick service and reasonable, special mention to the Oasis pool bar and Maria!
Pools We stuck to the smaller pool near our apartment, really clean and well maintained pool and surrounding area. Enough beds and umbrellas, but they do get "reserved" early on, which pains me but unless you join em, you wont beat em. Used the 'main' pool once, wouldn't go back, nothing to do with the hotel but more some families taking it over for ball games. All up for fun, but commandeering half of the pool for 4 people to lob a ball about is a mickey take!
Accommodation We were in a two bed apartment across the road from the hotel and around the corner from the smaller pool. As per other reviews, yes it was a little basic and tired in places (e.g. laminate flooring and skirting) but it was clean, spacious, had a great shower and the air con was a godsend! We had two problems with a blown hairdryer and the kettle/toaster having euro plugs in a country that uses three-pin UK sockets (bit weird), but all sorted within a couple of hours. Basic provisions for self catering guests if that's how you're booking, but had what we needed, including patio pets Bruce and Selina. A huge thanks to Yiannis and colleagues for sorting a late check out for us!
Location About 10 mins tops from SODAP beach, which is lovely but watch the rocks going in! Two kiosks nearby and a slightly larger/better shop about 7 mins away, next to a pharmacy. 25 mins walk to harbour in one way (and main road on bus route) and similar in the other direction to alternative shops and restaurants.
General Its a really lovely spot, but know there's a mix of private and hotel owned apartments so others will be around. Always felt safe, helped and welcomed. Beautiful trees and plants around the place, and the local feline population clearly looked after by the team and guests. It's not in the middle of tourist areas but close enough if you want it. Staff we met were all helpful and pleasant, and yes whilst it could do with some TLC in places, it is more than good enough. If there was one "it would be better if" bit of feedback, it would have been to offer us BB-ers a sandwich on checking in too. We checked in at 1am with some others, who were all inclusive/half board, and they were offered water and a sandwich which was a lovely touch. We only were given water, which was definitely appreciated, but packed sandwiches cost little and would have been as enjoyed by us after a v long journey as they were AI guests too. Minor but worth a mention!
Very happy with my stay in Paphos Gardens hotel. The staff were so kind and friendly, especially being a solo traveler it was really amazing how welcome they made me feel during times of the day. The 2 amazing men at bars and restaurant during all hours of the day were my favourite and I felt like I knew them all my life. Thank you all for being so kind. The only negative I’d say is that the food on some night could be a tad disappointing but other than that you get what you pay for! Defo go back!’
Stayed with my husband and 2 sons in July 2026. Arrival: Check in was ok, staff were friendly enough, had to fill out a questionnaire, not sure what it’s for. We were shown to our apartment which was spacious and had 2 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs and a living room, toilet and kitchen downstairs. The aircon was pretty good. There isn’t an iron though, you have to go to the laundry room across from reception. Had to go and get a bottle of water for the iron as there doesn’t seem to be access to water in there. We arrived late so missed dinner but sandwiches and fruit had been left in our room, also a box of Cyprus sweets which was a nice touch. We did end up ordering pizza though as we were starving and stayed up to watch the England v Norway game which was shown in the lobby on several screens. Cleaners: There were a few issues throughout the week with towels. They weren’t replaced every day and when they were there were a couple of instances where they were stained and dirty. On one occasion there was a wet stain that smelled of vinegar. On returning it to reception the male receptionist apologised but was insincere and didn’t seem bothered. He also said we would receive a replacement towel which never arrived. The cleaners didn’t really clean all week, a quick sweep of the floor in the living room and making the beds was it. There were numerous ants in the bathroom and a cockroach was seen scuttling under the bath on the last day. Mould on the ceiling in the bathroom. Pools: We didn’t go in the main pool so can’t comment on that. The Oasis pool is lovely. Quieter, especially around 4pm where there was never an issue getting 4 beds together. The lady behind the bar was very welcoming and friendly. Food: Plentiful, well cooked, always found something. All inclusive drinks: Not much to choose from on the cocktail side of things and they don’t offer a Pina Colada unless you pay for one. The bar staff will however, make a ‘fake Pina Colada’ which goes down ok. The drinks that you can obtain via AI is confusing as there’s no drinks menu except for the cocktail list on the bar. Bar staff are friendly. Entertainment: Not great, a few singers throughout the week that pretty much murdered every song. Was looking forward to the ‘Fire show’ which just turned out to be one guy twirling a stick around that was on fire on one end then both ends then one end again, and three girls dancing. It was boring and seemed to go on forever. There’s an English girl that comes round with bingo sheets a couple of times during the week. She was friendly. Cats: They’re everywhere, we named our holiday cat that lived outside our apartment Stavros. They’re in the restaurant area which is annoying but seems to be accepted. People feed them from their tables which is highly unhygienic but again, accepted. It’s not pleasant having animals around your feet begging for scraps when you’re eating. Area: A 10 minute walk in the heat to the front where there are some shops etc but not much else. The Evis bar with its rooftop is worth a visit for a cocktail and a sunset. It’s a good 20 minute walk to the harbour area where there are plenty of shops and restaurants (be aware that the restaurant workers try and get you in and are relentless) Nearest beach: SODAP beach is about a 10/15 minute walk, you have to pay for Sunbeds unless you take towels. All in all it was a nice hotel with friendly staff and worth the money we paid.
Leaving here tonight and have enjoyed my stay. We stayed in hotel which had everything you need. The room set out was good.
If you want to join in the activities you can and there's no pressure to join in. Rezhan who does the activities is good and definitely worth trying the Wellness/Stretching which is held in a morning followed by aqua airobics and darts/boules.
The evening entertainment was good. Was such a pity that England were playing but all the acts performed with 100% enthusiasm.
Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels every other day. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. There was plenty of food with wide variety which was hot and for me is very important.
Paphos Gardens is well situated and handy as there are shops selling everything you need very close by. It's a pleasant walk to the harbour or you can catch the 611 bus for €3 return.
Definitely stay here again in Paphos.
