Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos

Had the most amazing holiday. Excellent service, rooms, location, and food. The staff went above and beyond especially at the serenity pool bar, the American diner and the you and me bar. You were made to feel welcome everywhere you went in the hotel. We will definitely be back.

Have just returned from 10 nights stay and really enjoyed our stay.

Positives; Food - the buffet is incredible, we had the option for the Al a carts, we went to the pan Asian which was delcious and great atmosphere in the diner. (Did not attend captains deck due to fussy eaters)

Entertainment - queen and greatest showman, the most amazing shows.

Room - shoutout to bedraj our cleaner. Extremely polite and so good with my daughter. The room was always spotless. He works hard! The room was amazing, I don’t understand the reviews re aircon! It was very good! Mini fridge constantly re stocked. Fresh towels/ robes and bedding changed every other day.

Staff - I think these made the biggest difference. They are on it! Drinks constantly in your hand, polite, amazing with children! Shout out to every single one of the guest services team (reception) they gave our daughter stickers every day and even knew her name: such a positive bunch.

Kids club - this was a highlight for us! It allowed us to have a short break in the afternoon and get our 6 year old out the sun! My daughter would go from anytime between 1 hour and 4 ! The staff are amazing!

Allocated sunbeds - we found that we had an issue with this and couldn’t work out where our beds actually were and they kept getting moved. However once this was sorted they were great to have. However due to the heat we didn’t end up lounging on then as much as we thought we would.

Negatives; Daytime activities - not much going on in the day; could do some water sports re water polo, drinking games ect.

Wedding groups - very dominated by wedding party’s, some quite obnoxious like they owned the place.

Adults only pool - I wish this could be used by any adult not just the specific rooms as we were child free daily and would have been nice to have utilised this pool. Just a suggestion?

Pools - very warm, unsure if their heated or if it was actually from the sun, but they were very warm. Could be way cooler!

Kids disco - very repetitive music, in a conference room, could do some games like musical chairs, musical statues, competitions ect?

Room - we were right next to the neighbouring bar and the music was extremely loud so we did find it hard to sleep the first few nights. Maybe some soundproofing on that side on the hotel.

The negatives don’t affect our decision to return as we will 100% return again! We intend to return for our honey moon and utilise the adult only sections.

We came to the hotel for a week with my husband and 2 girls ( 4 & 6 year olds ). My room was great , comfortable beds , nice separation with the girls bed. There was a problem with the ac that was dripping and it was fixed while we had dinner.

The food was great , nice breakfast full of everything you can dream of . We mostly enjoyed the themed dinner But also tried the diner which was nice mostly although some dishes like steak came closer to well done than what we wanted .

The Asian restaurant had some nice dishes but our kids weren't happy and half of us had to leave for the buffet.

We didn't like the Italian restaurant for adults . Some dishes were sour/ bad. Some were good but small portions.

The pool was nice but the temperature was hot , I didn't feel refreshed coming in from the hot august temperature . Not sure it is something that can be changed. Beach is nice and very close to the pool area. The water isnt very clear close to the beach but I enjoyed it a lot . My family enjoyed it less.

The kids club is fabulous . My girls and nieces loved it , and stayed there everyday. They loved Eva and kept asking her to pick them up. They came back with cupcakes they decorated together , drawings. They played the computers and dressed up. One day they didn't want to leave for 6 hours !! So we also had time alone which was amazing.

I went to 4 shows - greatest showman , mistique, queen and mama Mia all were great. Come early to save seats other wise you might not have seats.

The staff is very nice and warm. Despite my few comments I had a very nice week and the girls had a lot of fun .
