Mayfair Hotel

My husband and i stayed here for two weeks and came home this morning .This is a very lively hotel and the bar and food stewards work very hard as do the entertainment team who are always trying to get people involved in different activities .So if this is what you are into you will never get bored. The food is very nice and the wine and beer is a decent quality and never gave us a hangover or sickness the next day unlike a lot of other hotels who use very cheap alcohol . The pools were nice and warm so you could get in and out with no problems. Near by is lots of archaeology to explore which is what attracted us to this place and our main reason to visit and the entrance fees were very cheap and well worth a visit. Also there is a big shopping centre called the Kings Mail that has many good shops and is only a 6 minute walk. The Prosecco in this hotel is amazing and only 16 euro a bottle or you could try their finest for only 19 euros both are very nice. Now the negatives-- Our room view partly overlooked the hotel pool and had trees in front of our window making our balcony very private which we liked. Unfortunately though their was a strong smell of sewage in our bathroom which was quite unpleasant . Our housekeeping was also a let down as the cleaners never appeared to do much in our room ,our balcony table was never cleaned the whole time we were there we always ended up doing it ourselves .There was fingerprints on our balcony door which must have been from the previous occupiers ,these were never cleaned off. Two days running we only had one cup i dont know why because we never broke one. On other days we had no t bags ,coffee or milks. And the last 3 days we were there we had run out of shower gel that never got replaced . The shower itself had no slip mat so that when we showered the floor was slippery which we had to use with caution . The stairways leading up to our room was never swept or cleaned and really didnt give a good impression ,it just doesnt look like a 4 star hotel as advertised . I know these things dont seem such a big deal but when you are paying over 3 thousand pounds for a holiday you expect better. We will not be revisiting in the future im afraid .This hotel may be fun and lively but does need to pay more attention to its overall appearance

Great hotel at a reasonable price. Lots of activities, delicious food, and the pool water was the perfect temperature. On top of that, the staff was exceptionally friendly. Highly recommended!

Within walking distance to Paphos Harbour and Paphos Old Town We like lots of walks on holiday Plenty of excursions on offer via receptionists We visited Troodos Mountains via coach Very family friendly....safe, friendly guests Varied evening entertainment, to suit all ages I find the Mayfair hotel has a chilled and relaxing atmosphere Staff friendly and approachable Cleanliness is superior Food excellent...amazing choice Comfortable, clean, bright, spacious rooms We find this to be great value as all-inclusive guest and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Mayfair to family and friends Thank you very much to all Mayfair staff 😀
