This was our second time staying at this hotel so as returning guests we expected same or even better service. First of all there was no shampoo conditioner or shower gel provided individually. Instead there were only large refillable dispensers. Food was very good but drinks extremely sugary and very limited. Swimming pools was dirty and cloudy with a lot of chlorine. Too crowded with far too many people and kids and seemed to be no control or rules in place everybody can be satisfied. The toilets and showers by the pool was very dirty smelling sewage and look old. However what surprised us even more was when check out was at 12 and around 11.45 my wife and daughter went to change clothes before leaving surprisingly they found the housekeepers already inside the room cleaning like we had already checked out. The executive housekeeper tell them that they assumed that we already left because they didn’t see any luggage. Is not correct to do it before check out time. We could have personal belongings even if our luggage were not there. The biggest surprise however was seeing that in the room contained amenities like shampoos conditioners slippers even sweets as a welcome treat. Photos will be attached. It was very disappointing to discover just before leaving that our room could have been prepared so differently.
⭐ 1/5 – Sold as 4-star, but absolutely not a 4-star experience
If you are booking this hotel because you want a relaxing 4-star Cyprus holiday, I would seriously think again.
Our biggest issue was discovering that the 4-star hotel effectively shares facilities with the adjoining 3-star hotel. The result is simply too many people for the facilities available.
The pool was constantly overcrowded. At times you could barely swim without being bumped into because of the sheer number of people in the water. Getting a sunbed was a daily battle, and on our final day there were none available at all.
The restaurant was just as chaotic. Queues regularly went out of the door, children were running around the buffet area and we repeatedly saw food being picked up and handled. It did not feel like the standard or atmosphere we expected from a 4-star hotel.
The answer to virtually every complaint seemed to be, “It’s peak season.” Peak season is not an excuse for selling more rooms than the facilities can comfortably support. A hotel should be equipped to cope with the number of guests it accepts.
The entertainment was also extremely poor. We ended up going out every single night and saw some brilliant live artists elsewhere in Paphos because there was very little worth staying in the hotel for. Aside from occasional uninspiring shows and bingo, the evening entertainment was a real let-down.
Reception were another disappointment. Staff were not particularly friendly or helpful.
The final straw was our late checkout. On our FIRST DAY we asked whether we could pay to keep a room longer on departure day. We had two rooms and only wanted to keep ONE. We were told our request would be written in a book and that we should check again the night before departure.
We did exactly what we were told.
When we returned the night before, we were simply told, “No, sorry.” End of conversation. No alternative, no attempt to help, despite us having raised it from the very beginning of the holiday.
We then had to check out at 12pm with a 5pm airport pickup. With no room and once again no sunbeds available, our final day was effectively lost.
We also spoke to several other families during the holiday who were experiencing the same frustrations, particularly regarding the overcrowding.
We have stayed in and visited other 4-star hotels in this resort and, in our opinion, this does not compare. The facilities, service, atmosphere and entertainment simply do not match what we would expect from a genuine 4-star property.
For the amount this holiday cost, it was hugely disappointing. We would not return.
Damian, Sanni, Jazmin are all amazing we could not have had a better holiday without them the atmosphere the entry is unmatched we will deffo be back they have entertained the 5 kids and 12 adults we will 100% be coming back and can not recommend them enough we will be sat to leave them x
Beware of hidden currency exchange fees and poor customer service! The hotel itself is nice, but the management and customer service were very disappointing. During check-in, I accidentally made a mistake and chose to pay in US Dollars instead of Euros on the terminal, without realizing it would trigger a costly 3% DCC markup fee. When I noticed my mistake a few hours later and politely asked the front desk to void the transaction and re-charge me in the local currency (Euros), they started dragging me with excuses for days. They told me to wait for the Duty Manager, then the Duty Manager said he had to check with senior management. Finally, on my checkout day, they just said "no" and refused to offer any flexible solution or even a small gesture of goodwill (like a taxi transfer or a late checkout) to compensate for the bad experience. It is a shame that a good stay ends with such rigid and unhelpful management over a simple currency mistake. If you stay here, pay close attention to the credit card machine and always choose Euros!
I had a great holiday here. The catering staff were incredible and the food was delicious, always something for everyone and something different every night. The bar staff were kind as well. The night entertainment was good as well and it was a good way to end the day! Bogdan specifically made my evenings as he was always happy and funny and talkative, and i could always expect him to come around the pool asking about my experience of the hotel.
