This hotel was one of the biggest disappointments I've experienced while traveling.
The rooms shown in the promotional photos look nothing like reality. The images appear heavily edited and create a completely misleading impression of the hotel's condition. In reality, the property is old, outdated, and in urgent need of renovation.
The bathroom had a persistent sewage smell throughout our stay, which made the room extremely unpleasant. Despite paying for what was advertised as a quality hotel experience, the actual standard was far below expectations.
The pool area was another major disappointment. There are only two relatively small pools, both overcrowded with children from early morning until evening, making it almost impossible for adults to relax. The noise level throughout the hotel was excessive, and the atmosphere felt more like a crowded budget resort than the relaxing vacation destination presented in the advertisements.
What frustrates me most is the enormous gap between marketing and reality. Had the hotel presented itself honestly, expectations would have been different. Unfortunately, the photos and descriptions create a misleading impression that does not reflect the actual guest experience.
This hotel is a classic example of deceptive marketing and is significantly overrated compared to the experience it actually delivers. The property falls far short of the standard it advertises, and guests should be aware that the reality is very different from what is presented online.
I would not return under any circumstances and would strongly advise potential guests to consider other options before spending their money here.
The hotel looks nothing like the photos online, which appear to be heavily edited. The room was outdated, the bathroom smelled strongly of sewage, and the overall condition of the property was far below expectations. We left after less than an hour because we simply could not imagine spending our vacation there. Despite this, the hotel refused to issue any refund. Avoid if you value honesty and customer service.
Myself and my partner (both 19yrs old) stayed at the Mayfair hotel, all inclusive, from the 8th to the 18th of July 2026, and it was honestly one of the best holidays we have both had - so much so it was my partners first time in paphos and we both said we would come back to the area, and stay here again! When we got here, it was about 2330, so the all inclusive had finished - so we were given vouchers to get a drink that night before the bar shut, this started our holiday off nicely, the check in was easy and the receptionists were all very polite and friendly. There’s also a voucher for the sports bar, the flying pig, which can be reused - and we loved the food and service over there too! We booked a massage at the spa, and this was a great experience, felt comfortable and the massage was well needed - left us both very relaxed - staff were lovely. There’s also hotel gym was functional, too hot to enjoy a workout there though. The hotel was spotless and had a very relaxed and friendly feel - perfect to fall into holiday mode! The rooms themselves were modern and clean, with the comfiest beds we didn’t want to get out of in the mornings, we literally sank into them, it was brilliant :) and the shower was huge! The pools were clean, well maintained, spacious, exactly what we need, surrounded by plenty of sunbeds - the gardens are pretty, lots of trees and green - the whole atmosphere was brilliant, morning to night. The location was very convenient, close to the mall with lots of clothes shops, restaurants, and the walk to the harbour is about 15 minutes, public transport is easy to access. The all inclusive here is one of the best I’ve ever been too and definitely worthwhile! The variety of food never failed, there was always something we would eat, and something new to try, it looked nice and tasted good too. Breakfast was the same, give or take, everyday but that’s okay - the toastie maker was a lovely touch we found! Lunch and dinner offered a different selection day in and day out, with lots of healthier options available too. The snack bar was good too! Never ran out of food, always busy, and they kept on top of it! And the drinks were good too, we found asking for specific drinks or cocktails made different was welcomed, and we were never made to feel we were being too much trouble From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcomed, from the cleaners, to the maintenance staff, to the receptionists, to the bar staff and servers everyone was working hard to keep it spotless, the restaurant turn over was impeccable - there was never a dirty table left. The entertainment team were never pushy, but were engaging :) for me a lovely touch was the bar staff coming over during evening entertainment and asking if they can get you any more drinks, this was so convenient and service was quick too! The evening entertainment always included bingo, which came at an extra cost of €5 for a strip, but the team kept it lively with a good cash prize each night. As we were packing to leave I needed a plastic bag to pop my wet shoes in before putting them into the case and the housekeeping staff happily gave me some. A few times we were in the room when the cleaners came round so we said we didn’t need anything done, and they made sure to run through many different things they could easily provide before being turned away. I never felt unsafe at this resort - and always felt very well looked after. The lifeguards came over to help us out with an umbrella when we were struggling, which was also a nice gesture The mini market has everything we need for the pool or snacks - again fabulous service The only thing we noticed that could have been improved would have been an extra person at the bar in the restaurant during the busiest hour to make life easier for the barman as he was taking orders from waiters and customers - however he never made us feel like an extra job either, and always had a smile with quick service :) We spoke to the hotel manager, he was very polite and welcomed feedback, all staff here couldn’t be faulted! Always happy and efficient. This holiday felt like a dream come true! One highlight of our stay was the staff. Every single person we met was friendly, hardworking and genuinely cared about making sure everyone had a fantastic holiday. We left with so many lovely memories and are genuinely sad to go home. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing, fun holiday with outstanding staff, as a couple or with the family - this hotel just works! Thank you to everyone for making our stay so special—we hope to come back again soon!
Just spent 11 nights at this family hotel 1st to 13th July 26. Start with the positives. Food. The food was very good for an all inclusive with good choice which surprised us with the such high standard. Good snack bar again with plenty of choice for adults and children. Pool areas very good, however kids pool gets very busy, but we as grandparents visited the beach most days leaving our daughter and son in law with our granddaughter by the pool. Negatives. The towels for sunbeds was not controlled and the time that people were putting towels on beds started in the early hours of the morning. The hotel claim that they don't allow this but they clearly do. The rooms are dated but a good size, cleaning not the best and do not check and replenish facilities in the room. On one occasion there was no shower gell and when we rang reception we were told to go to reception to collect it, to which we refused. It was only later that a hotel assistant brought the items to our room. Note ladies with long hair take your own dryer as the hair dryers in the room are useless. Drinks. All inclusive we're typically all inclusive and not great. 5 out of 10. Overall. We did enjoy our time there as a family, but probably wouldn't return. Final note. Cleaning to the communal areas was sub standard. The staff in the main were nice but there was the odd one or two that struggled to raise a smile.
The Hotel/Gardens facilities were great. Vast choice of food for All inclusive. Staff all very friendly and helpful.
Sunbeds around pool fill up fast, only downside was that beds could be reserved all day with no occupants.
Myself and my Daughter (11) visited the spa for massages. Staff made my daughter feel at ease and we both enjoyed the relaxation. Definitely recommend if you want a relaxing massage.
