We came in August time, peak school holidays, but had the best time!
The hotel is not far from the airport so it was a lovely short transfer, just what you need when you land in the evening. The hotel is in a fairly quiet area of Paphos, but is the perfect location for access to the waterpark and the beautiful harbour is a short bus trip away, or a walk along the coastline if you don’t have children with little legs!
We spent most of the time in the hotel, except for a boat trip, as my little boy turned into a fish and just lived in the pool for 9 hours a day!
It was a lovely atmosphere, even though it was peak school holidays, we could still get sunbeds, there were plenty of areas for eating during the day, so even though it was busy, food was replenished quickly.
Staff went above and beyond to make sure we were catered for in the restaurant and bar, special thanks to Ahmed and Hany!
We stayed in a family room, and although it was slightly on the small side, it was clean and tidy. We had a wonderful housekeeper on floor 3 (I can’t remember her name) who also went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, giving us extra pillows and a mattress topper for the sofa bed. She replenished our water and gave us clean towels everyday.
Around the pool in the day, the entertainment team worked hard to keep children and adults busy. We loved the cocktail party and playing human ‘bingo bango bongo’ as my little lad calls it. The lifeguards were particularly entertaining and even though they worked hard, had a laugh with the children in the pool, a special shout out to Mahmoud and Karim!
Overall it was a wonderful stay and we will definitely be returning in the near future!
Amazing stay at the hotel all the staff are fantastic a Huge shoutout to Jamie the entertainment manager, Grace and Rhiannon for your fabulous hospitality
Also a massive thank you to Romani on reception always there to help if anything is needed. The lifeguard team are also amazing and keep everyone safe
Also Hassan was amazing he always greeted us with a smile and welcomed us everyday
This hotel is amazing for the people above that make your holiday the best it can be thank you all of you!
An absolute gem in Paphos with world-class food and unbeatable staff! We recently returned from a fantastic stay at this hotel. Situated right on a rocky beach, it offers easy step access into the sea, and if you prefer sand, there is a great sandy beach just a short 250-meter stroll to the right. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and spacious. Our only minor complaint was the room size—it was a bit cramped for a family of four, but given how much time we spent enjoying the resort, it didn't ruin our trip. The facilities are top-notch. There are two pools: the lively main pool where all the daytime games and entertainment take place, and a quieter pool reserved for relaxing (no lilos, floaties, or balls allowed here, unless it’s a floatation aid for a child). The quieter pool also features three water slides, which were brilliant fun for both the adults and the kids! Now, for the highlights: The Food: Hands down the best food we have ever had anywhere in the world! The selection, variety, and taste were unbelievable across all three dining spots. The main dining area and pool side bar were great, but the lunch at the Chinese restaurant was truly world-class. The Staff: Second to none. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and couldn't do enough for us, but two team members deserve a special mention. Moustafa is an absolute gentleman; no matter how busy he was, he always made time to come over, check in on us, and make sure we had everything we needed. Ahmed: Simply the best man we have ever met. His ability to remember everyone’s names—not just our family, but guests all across the hotel—was incredible. He is a true gem and a massive credit to the chain. If I ran this hotel, Ahmed would be in management or training the rest of the team on guest experience. We will never forget him!
Overall, we had an enjoyable family holiday. Although we probably wouldn’t return, there were plenty of positives. The staff are definitely the hotel’s biggest asset. They were friendly, helpful and always made the children smile. The hotel was kept clean throughout our stay, our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels, and the housekeeping staff were lovely. The water park was brilliant and great fun for the whole family. The lifeguards could be a little overenthusiastic with their whistles, but they were fantastic with the children, very friendly and always extremely alert. We saw one jump straight into the water to rescue a little girl, which was very reassuring. The beach is also lovely, with plenty of opportunities for snorkelling. The food was good, with plenty of choice, and we could always find something to eat. It became a little samey, with only slight variations each evening, and we have had better food elsewhere, but it was still decent and certainly didn’t spoil our holiday. The hotel itself feels quite dated and would benefit from some TLC. There were cracked tiles, older sunbeds and a pool bar that looked a little tired. We also noticed some unpleasant smells in certain areas of the hotel. Our room was very small and felt quite claustrophobic. I appreciate that the dimensions are provided when booking, but I didn’t exactly get my tape measure out! The air conditioning could have been better, and having only one tiny pillow each wasn’t particularly comfortable. The balcony was also a little disappointing. We were a family of four, but there was only enough seating for two people. We love sitting on the balcony and playing cards together as a family, so this was a little disappointing. The entertainment was okay, some nights it was later than we would have liked. We were often in our room at midnight still able to hear it while trying to sleep, followed by some noise from guests returning to their rooms. Some guests’ behaviour was unpleasant at times, which obviously wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but it did affect the overall atmosphere. In summary, the hotel was clean, the food was decent, the water park was brilliant and the staff were wonderful, they genuinely couldn’t do enough to help. The hotel would benefit from some updating, particularly the rooms and facilities, but we still had an enjoyable family holiday overall.
We came to louis phaetheon in summer during the holidays with one young child as a group of 5. Staff were helpful on arrival and was a very late arrival. There are lifts around the hotel which was helpful as on second floor with young child. The pools are great, good to have one for relaxing with no games or floats but wish I had used the main pool sooner as the entertainment was brilliant. It was my birthday while there and could have got a shout out from the team but didn't realise until after but this is a great touch. The games by the team at the pool are really good, quizzes each day is good fun, loud if you are by the main pool but not too loud if by the relaxing pool. Bing bong bingo was good fun. The entertainment team are all in the evening shows which really shows their talent, Hannah, Keiran and Lindon are brilliant singers all singing while dancing too, and Grace, Alex, Amy, Artemis and Rhiannon excellent dancers. Jamie is brilliant managing it all and providing the sound and lighting and was a dancer in one of the shows, very kind and helpful to everyone. Shout out to Hannah for presenting the family game shows as well as singing and dancing. Brilliant entertainment team. At the pools, we really enjoyed the slides. Our 5 year old wasn't quite tall enough for one of the slides but could go on one with arm bands which she loved. Life guards are very friendly but very attentive, one in particular gave high fives and asked how we were. Pools really warm which was great! I am a very fussy eater but wasn't disappointed with the food, Mexican night was amazing. Paphos harbour is a short bus ride which was brilliant as we went there for my birthday. Pay for the bus with cash! The rep from who we booked with was really helpful when we had a specific request for something we needed. Waiting and bar staff all friendly, hospitality and friendliness by all staff was excellent. The two nights the entertainment is outside were loud, nice for some but loud for young ones trying to sleep. Very close to the airport so can be loud with planes Not far from beach if you want to swim in the sea. Rooms are not huge but most don't spend loads of time in their room so shouldn't focus too much on this! One downside of children's disco was when a character was there for the children to meet around half the disco was children having photos with the character, also a late start for the disco All in all a fantastic week, I would recommend
