Leonardo Plaza Cypria Maris - Adults Only

So we stayed for a birthday celebration in June 2026. It was an eventful booking experience with on the beach. They cancelled it once due to the flights, to which we rebooked with new flights.

Firstly, lets talk about the hotel.... The room and the cleaning service are second to none, we had a room on the 3rd floor, with a "side ocean view" which was beautiful. The room was great for the amount of time you spend in there and the maid we had, was brilliant. The hotel obviously alerted them that there was a birthday, so chocolates and sparkling wine were left in the room, it was lovely.

All-Inclusive Tiered Service So what is not advertised is there is a tiered all-inclusive service. So for a standard room you get standard service, then there is an upgrade to a "purple band", this then includes premium brand international drinks, so you get your malibu, Jim Beam, Jack Daniels etc. Thats all fine. However, there is a third tier which seems to cause the problem. The tier is called 'Deluxe All-Inclusive' and they have the silver bands, they get the international branded drinks, but they also get to reserve sunbed for their entire stay around the pool side. This creates problems around the pool side. There doesnt seem to be enough beds that are poolside. The days that we happened to end up in the gardens due to the reservations (tickets on beds, not towels), you got your typical people who drank too much (throwing up in hedges or at the end of sunbeds). There is tickets on the sunbeds for the silver all-inclusive people with an end-date. If the date has expired then you can reserve the beds with towels. You can also do this before the "end-date" however, if they come down they will evict you from the sun lounger with the pool manager Maria. Maria is lovely, however its a horrible system. You can be there from 8am, and at 11.45am be evicted, it did happen 3 times during our stay.

Food The buffet is fine, the quality is great, however the options are very slim. We liked the buffet for breakfast, it had all the English staples including hash browns. However, for lunch, we found it better to go to the snack bar and in the evenings due to slim pickings we found it to be lacking, opting to either eat at the Al La Carte restaurants or going down the road and paying for our meals. The Al La Carte restaurants are great, most are a set menu, we thoroughly enjoyed the Italian. The Greek and Asian are down to preference, but the service is great. If you do go out of the hotel for food, there is a place down the left hand side road called "The Rib Shack", and it's amazing, you will pay around £100 euros for two people but its the best meal we had all 10 days we were there.

Staff I do feel there should be a section for staff and I normally wouldnt. However, myself and my partner dont drink, absurd I know! However, trying to get service at the pool bar everyday resulted in either being insulted or questioned which began to irritate us. If you went around 10am and ordered an iced latte or something similar, you were asked if you wanted something else in it, which is fine. However if you went in the afternoon, and asked for a coke, or virgin mojito, you were met with 'This is a bar, we serve alcohol". This was predominately by the Bar Manager which I think is unacceptable. There was a "fire show" one night by the pool bar, and the manager was particularly arsey about serving soft drinks. If you happen to be a friend of " Bill .W." dont expect this pool bar manager to be understanding. We found his remarks to actually ruin our days.

Overall The hotel is okay, its nothing special and is definitely over priced for what it is. We paid just over 1500 for 10 days each. We only had two nights in the evening buffet before deciding never again. I wouldnt do that again.

The best hotel I ever stayed. Me and my family we had a very good experience. The staff was very helpful and nice , the food delicious, the facilities very good.
