Choose the Imperial Island by Louis Hotels in Paphos for your Mediterranean holiday and you'll see some of the best that Cyprus has to offer. Sample some of its vibrant present and its culturally rich past, all under those sunny Mediterranean skies. Paphos is the perfect spot for sightseeing, sunbathing and swimming. There are wonderful views out over the harbour, great shopping, amazing relics of the past and a rich tapestry of sights and sounds.
The Imperial Island by Louis Hotels lets you experience it all. That's if you can drag yourself away from the hotel of course. With its wonderful facilities and smart, chic ambience, it's so much more than a holiday base; it's a genuine holiday retreat.
Set in extensive grounds with well-manicured lawns (and as many shady spots as there are sun traps), the Imperial Island by Louis Hotels is a delightful place to relax. Like Paphos it seamlessly combines old world charm with modernity. You'll admire the clean sweep of the public areas – its open restaurant and cocktail bar – all wonderfully polished and spacious. There's a real feeling of tradition here too, and a devotion to good old-fashioned values.
Of course the sun reigns supreme over Cyprus and the Imperial Island by Louis Hotels is one of the best places to enjoy it from. With vast spaces given over to sunbathing you'll always find a suitable spot to catch some rays.
And assuming there's any time left between the exploring and sunbathing you can make the most of the indoor and outdoor pools and the leisure club with its sauna, Jacuzzi and massage facilities.
You'll find your twin room spacious and inviting. With a private bathroom and balcony, and facilities including satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a radio and minibar, you'll be very comfortable indeed. Rooms are complete with air-conditioning from May-Oct, and heating from Nov-Apr.
If Paphos is one of the jewels in the crown of Cyprus, then the Imperial Island by Louis Hotels is one of its finest places to stay. Relish the experience.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The Imperial Island by Louis Hotels is ideally located on the shore within walking distance of Paphos's busy centre and with magnificent views of the famous harbour and its old castle. It has extensive grounds leading to the sea and these house a swimming pool and vast sunbathing areas. There is also an indoor pool (Heated November to April).
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had an absolutely fantastic time. Check-in was super quick and easy, and the porter took our luggage straight to our room, which was a lovely start to the holiday. Also in the room was a bottle of wine, cold plates of food such as wraps/sandwiches and fruit (we arrived late) and a stocked mini fridge.
The room was great, with fresh beach towels and bottled water provided every day. The food was amazing too, with loads of choice and something for everyone.
The waiter service around the pool was fantastic. A special mention has to go to Yusif, who absolutely made our holiday! He was such a lovely guy, always friendly and attentive, and we never had an empty glass thanks to him. He really went above and beyond and made our pool days and evenings even more enjoyable.
Lifeguard Derek also deserves a special mention. He was fantastic and was always keeping a close eye on the kids. It was so reassuring knowing they were in safe hands while they were in the pool.
There was plenty going on during the day, with good daytime entertainment and always something to keep everyone occupied. The kids loved the mini disco in the evening, and there was also an evening entertainment programme.
Overall, from start to finish, we had an amazing holiday. The staff, food, entertainment and service were all fantastic, and we genuinely didn’t want to leave!
We would definitely return and would highly recommend this hotel. Already looking forward to coming back!
We have recently returned home after an incredible 2 week family holiday! I honestly dont know where to start, everything about the holiday was amazing, including the location! From the moment we arrived, which was late into the evening, we were greeted with smiley faces and very helpful staff. The bar staff around the pool, the lobby and in the entertainments bar were top notch. Working long hours but any request was never too much! Yousif-pool and lobby waiter- was amazing. Constantly bringing the drinks and was just a genuinely nice bloke! He always took the time to talk to you and made a fuss of the children when he saw them. There was a good variety of food in the restaurant and the quality was exceptional. With us being there 2 weeks, we were able to visit the Fiki a la carte twice. Each time the food was beautiful, well worth the visit! Lastly, the entertainment team. I have honestly never met a more friendly, lovely and talented bunch of people. They took the time to talk to people around the pool and seen we felt like we had known them for ever! My 2 children, 10yo and 6yo, usually struggle to join in with activities on holiday. The entertainments team- mainly Sophie, Kyra, Tilly, Lara, Faye and Faith who brought both of my children out of their shells and by the end of the holiday our day was being planned around water polo and the other activities on offer. The team work extremely long days but were always smiling and chatty, putting in 100% day in, day out! The talent on show in the evenings was outstanding and there was a good variety of entertainment on offer. One of our personal favourites was the around the world show and the gameshow which was very interactive! We have made some amazing memories in which we will cherish forever. I honestly do not have 1 negative thing to say about the hotel and staff. We are already pricing up coming back next year!
We stayed at the Imperial Island Resort from 8-15th August. This was our second visit - we visited 5 years ago for our 25th wedding anniversary and returned this time with our family as part of our 30th anniversary celebrations. We had a fabulous time! We loved the refurbished rooms and public areas, but most of all we again loved the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff, who are charming without exception and can’t do enough to make your stay as special as they can. The management team are ever present and always ready to chat, which is lovely. Special mention to Chris, the General Manager, for making us feel so welcome again and Elena for engaging with us so warmly both prior to our arrival and during our stay. We’ll definitely be back!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and were really impressed with both the hotel and the staff. The hotel was comfortable, welcoming, and very well maintained, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout our stay.
The location was excellent, making it easy to get around and explore the local area. It was a great base for our trip and very convenient.
The food was absolutely excellent, with a great choice and everything we tried being delicious. The quality and presentation were fantastic.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. We would definitely be happy to return! We just need someone else to pay for us lol.
Special shoutout the Derek, Seif and David who all made a massive impact on our holiday. Ps the sunbeds and room beds are amazing.
Just got back after a week stay. Great hotel, location and food. We spent most days at the beach and took advantage of the hotels sun beds. I would like to make a special mention to Drhuba who supplied all our drinks while at the beach and looked after us. He is a credit to the hotel and deserves a medal for working so hard in that heat. All the staff were great including the reception staff and a thank you to the cleaners who work so hard. We look forward to visiting next year once the new water park is built.
