Like Paphos it seamlessly combines old world charm with modernity. You'll admire the clean sweep of the public areas – its open restaurant and cocktail bar – all wonderfully polished and spacious. There's a real feeling of tradition here too, and a devotion to good old-fashioned values.
Of course the sun reigns supreme over Cyprus and the Imperial Island by Louis Hotels is one of the best places to enjoy it from. With vast spaces given over to sunbathing you'll always find a suitable spot to catch some rays.
And assuming there's any time left between the exploring and sunbathing you can make the most of the indoor and outdoor pools and the leisure club with its sauna, Jacuzzi and massage facilities.
You'll find your twin room spacious and inviting. With a private bathroom and balcony, and facilities including satellite TV, tea and coffee making facilities, a radio and minibar, you'll be very comfortable indeed. Rooms are complete with air-conditioning from May-Oct, and heating from Nov-Apr.

Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The Imperial Island by Louis Hotels is ideally located on the shore within walking distance of Paphos's busy centre and with magnificent views of the famous harbour and its old castle. It has extensive grounds leading to the sea and these house a swimming pool and vast sunbathing areas. There is also an indoor pool (Heated November to April).
Fantastic hotel with great amenities, the management and staff are so helpful and cannot help you enough, the meals were outstanding and the restaurant staff catered to all our needs, we had seen that there had been some negative reviews since its refurbishment regarding children running wild and some antisocial behaviour, I believe that this isn’t a hotel issue more a poor parenting one, we would like to give a big thank you to all the bar and restaurant staff especially Josef and Bhourbagh ( apologies if I’ve misspelled your names) for ensuring we remained hydrated day and night 🍹
We had a lovely holiday at the Imperial Island resort. Location and seaview rooms were stunning. We had everything we needed to be very comfortable, the room was well maintained and fresh water towels etc provided daily including an extra service in the evening in case you wanted anything. The pools were good and the pool bar service from Youssif and Sawwy was excellent. The choice of drinks and freshly made cocktails was impressive on the all inclusive menu. Mary in the upstairs lobby bar was kind friendly and attentive. The food was fresh varied and delicious and the restaurant staff were very attentive to everyone. The check in and departure were smooth and we had the use of a courtesy room as we had a late check out. ( The fee to keep our room on was a very expensive 100 euros which is more than we have ever paid anywhere else). We thought the entertainment was a bit lacking and there just wasn’t a great variety with none at all in some evenings. However all in all we had a lovely stay and our thanks go to all the staff for looking after us so well.
Another first class stay at the recently refurbished and updated to a 5 star () status, Louis Imperial Island Resort in Paphos. The lifeblood of the mood and vibrancy of the hotel appeared to be linked to the high calibre staff the Louis Hotel group employs. For example the fantastic entertainment team led by Sophie who warrants her own 6 status due to her adept professionalism, unwavering enthusiasm and who consistently led her team by example! Considering she'd only created her team this year for the hotel's grand re-opening in May - Sophie well deserves the highest accolade for it! Having to script, choreograph and rehearse the many vibrant and lively stage shows during the evenings in the new Sonne entertainment venue. All this from her current team of 6, being Faye, Lucy, Lotisja, Tommy, Tilly and Gaby already entertainers, singers and/or dancers in their own right, contributed their professional skills, expertise and enthusiasm which showed in their 5* synergetic performances ! The whole team also planned and hosted other evening entertainment programs enhanced with fun audience participation games, bingo, karaoke and quizzes etc. Likewise also kept the guests of all ages from kids to adults entertained during the day from 10am to 5pm with activities ranging from dingbats, aerobics, aqua gym, archery, boules, shuffleboard, darts etc. Secondly, the bar staff supported by the waiters/waitresses ensured the guests were served throughout the hotel, including both pool areas and gardens efficiently, with the vast array of drinks available. Special mention here to Sawy, Youssif and Semanga (sorry if misspelt your name but always appeared very happy in her work) in the Pescina pool bar and Mary in the inside lobby bar. There were many front and back room staff contributing to the main restaurant eating experience and kept on their toes during the busy periods. Thank you Dimitar, Bishal and Johnny to name but a few contributing to the highest standard of service! Lastly can't forget Derek, one of the lifeguards keeping the pool areas safe for all and the room service staff, especially Sofia (second floor).
This was our fifth time staying here and it will not be the last as it appears to be continuing to provide a top rated holiday experience!
Arriving to this hotel I had very high expectations considering the many 5 star reviews. This is definitely not a 5 star hotel, I would probably give it a 3 star. We traveled as a couple and a six month old baby, that was our first family vacation so we were looking for a high quality all inclusive hotel, unfortunately our experience was far from it. Yes, the hotel is renovated and the rooms are nicely decorated, but that is not enough to be rated 5 star. We arrived in the afternoon and our room was hot like a sauna, we turned on the A/C and it was as loud as a tractor, the room got cooler only in the morning, till then we were swetting like pigs. In addition, the room wasn’t clean enough, there were blond hairs on the floor and dust on the sheets. The sheets weren’t change at all during our stay (there was a stain on the sheets so I could follow it). Breakfast was ok but lunch and dinner were not good at all. There was no option to order food to your pool bed, only drinks which was dissapointing. We really wanted to visit the burger restaurant but there wasn't any availability during our entire stay. The pool had tons of chlorine and other chemicals in it, my baby and I got red spots and a rash from it. I also got stung twice by a fire ant while sitting on my sunbed near the pool. I also heard there are fire ants in the children playground, thankfully I hadn't taken my daughter there. Also, the tiles outside the pool had a very bad paint job and it kept peeling off and got stack to our feet. The main dining room also had ants walking above the sofa seats (we saw them everyday). Very disappointing for the money spent.
We are fortunate to travel a lot and Cyprus has been our go to land destination in September for many a year. We usually stay in a hotel very close by but this time we decided to mix it up a bit and wow, I’m so pleased that we did. Having worked in hospitality and still do for over 40 years, I can honestly say that this hotel ticks all the right boxes. From the excellent service, cleanliness, fabulous food, pool areas and good accommodation we had no complaints at all. Yes, there are a few areas that may need a fresh lick of paint and a couple of tiles replacing in public areas but you cannot let that detract you from the main reasons you go away, fantastic food options, friendly well trained staff and excellent facilities. We didn’t see any of the evening entertainment as we preferred to walk into the harbour most nights but we did enjoy the violinist in the lobby bar. I would like to thank all the hard working bar team both at the quiet pool and then later in the evening at the lobby bar for looking after us. You are all amazing and a credit to the hotel. It shows that you have a good management team when your employees are happy in their work. Thank you for such a lovely 8 night stay and we will see you next year. Louise & Jimmy
