There's so much to see and do in Paphos. It's one of the essential places to stay in any holiday to Cyprus. And when you stay at the Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel you'll have easy access to the beach, the harbour, the archaeological sites and the great shops too. But as well as all of that, you'll have the amenities of the hotel itself to enjoy and they really are worth writing home about.
For a start, there are three amazing freshwater pools to choose from (as well as an adults Pool, two paddling pools and a heated indoor pool (heated Nov - Apr).
The hotel's Elixir Spa is another highlight. From far Eastern cuisine to local favorites, from a la carte dining to four course meals and the Zephyr adults only a la carte, there’s a menu and a setting for everyone. From the cocktail bar, lounge bar (open to the discretion of Management) rooftop bar ( adult only for Elite class) to the beach bar and adults pool bar to room service, you can choose what, where and when you eat.
It's certainly hard to resist the idea of a little room service now and then, particularly when you return to your room after a busy day. All guests' rooms are spacious and air conditioned for your maximum comfort. And we really do recommend a little light supper or drinks on your private balcony. (Side and full sea view rooms are also available, affording excellent views out over the Mediterranean.)

The sunbeds are a joke! People take them from midnight
Lovely hotel. Good choice of food and the staff are always so polite and do everything they can to help. Compared to hotels in England. I have two negatives, and I won’t be the only one who mentions this. The sunbed towel situation. The second day of my stay, sunbeds were 90% gone by the pool at 5am, there were a massive group of a family from down south who felt they were entitled to take the majority of the sunbeds, and most weren’t actually used until the late afternoon. The hotel don’t do anything about this, they allow the selfish people to hog the beds and let others struggle to get one, especially when you have small children and you need to be around the pool to watch them. The second issue is, not sure if this is the hotels fault, but upset stomach. I was hit with this into the second half of my stay where I was subject to being room bound. Not sure what it was. However the rest of my stay was lovely. The swimming pools could be given something to make them colder as they’re so warm, especially with people who like to urinate in them, it’s quite off putting when they’re really warm, granted they’re going to be with the sun, but I’ve never had been in a swimming pool where it felt like it was a warm bath

Great stay
Perfect stay in a beautiful hotel. We had a swim up room, which our children loved. The staff were all very helpful and accommodating, particularly with our children at meal times. Huge thank you to Ramhari in the Leda restaurant for looking after us so well. Would highly recommend.
Generally very good but won't be returning.
Generally a great hotel. Staff were excellent (except check in which was a conveyor belt experience). Lots of attention paid to entertainment - many of additional extras put on (such as coffee demonstrations, saxophone player etc) which is a nice touch alongside the main entertainment.
Fair variety with food though the toasting machines take about ten minutes (as you have to repeatedly keep putting bread in and staff couldn't fix it) so we gave up. No basics on the continental selection such as croissants etc.
Great to have the pontoons to access the sea. Sadly the sea was often filthy with plastic and we couldn't swim in it (not the hotels fault obviously). Walking up to Paphos in the evening is lovely and gave us a feeling of being in Cyprus which was hard to feel elsewhere.
The young lifeguard on the slides was exceptional, friendly and warm and gave us great tips re the waterpark. Also Jessica in the pool bar was exceptional in her service. The England/Norway game was well manged in how it was shown and despite being seemingly surprised at how busy it was extra staff were brought in from the other bar and so getting drinks etc was easier than in England!
Main negatives - would be lovely to have non smoking areas. The outside terrace bar in the evening is just grim with the amount of people smoking in such a contained areas so as a family we couldn't sit there. A designated smoke-free zone would have been much appreciated. The outside toilets by the pool need addressing as they are impossible to use due the smell and there are cockroaches at night in the other outdoor toilets by the slide and outside the Leda Restaurant which staff were completely unbothered by! Finally I really appreciated your green approach to linen/towels etc. However, in the room all toiletries are still provided in mini bottles. As a family of three we would have generated 84 bottles over seven days alone if I hadn't taken our own and your in room bins aren't segregated for recycling. For a hotel of that size and along with your other hotels that is an unacceptable amount of single use plastic. When we used the courtesy room for a shower before we left you had shower gel in a main pump dispenser on the wall and I would strongly suggest you look at this in the rooms for shower gel, shampoo etc to save this excessive waste. Otherwise everything you are saying about your green policy just seems a gimmick.
Due to the sea quality and issues above we won't be returning but thank you to the staff that did make the rest of our stay lovely.
