Had an amazing stay at Avanti village, a family of 4 in a 1 bedroom apartment. The apartment was spacious and well equipped, a little dated but very clean. Bathroom towels and beach towels where included in your stay. The Aircon was free and working no problem, safety deposit box €17.50 for the week The staff where friendly and helpful. The pool bar was lovely and we ate in the restaurant a couple of times, always great food, the breakfast is great value for money. Be aware it is cashless, you can either pay by card or charge to your room, easy to do and you can pay your bills whenever you like at reception. The pool area was great, plenty of space and you could always find a sunbed somewhere throughout the day, activities like aquafit, water polo in the pool if you want to take part, also yoga on a morning. You could take inflatables etc into the pool and there was always music, a lovely vibe. The location is good, abit tricky in the heat but you could catch a bus outside or reception would happily ring you a taxi. Taxis where around €10 euro to the harbour, €12-€14 euro to the old town, buses where €2 an adult and €1 a child. There where plenty of restaurants/bars/ takeaways within walking distance and a supermarket out the back of the hotel which was reasonably priced. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and couldn't find any fault with the hotel, would definitely return!
Excellent location and the pool was one of the best we have been to. Entertainment team were so friendly especially Ash, Jess and Claire. We had an excellent week and really enjoyed our stay. Thank you
We had a great stay at the Avanti village. Highly recommend for families. Firstly all the staff we came across were friendly and welcoming. The apartments are spacious and the the beds were comfortable. The 2 beds in the living room are proper beds not a sofa like other apartments. The village itself is clean and I would say cute and suitable for young families although it is a maze trying to find your room lol. The pool is huge, clean and was very warm when we visited. The pool bar was great. The hotel operates a no cash policy which works well. You just sign the receipt at the bars/ snack bar and either pay at reception daily or at the end of your stay. We opted to pay each day to keep on top of what we were spending. Location, there are a few restaurants/ bars out the back of the village which we enjoyed and good for if you want to stay close by. The harbour is roughly a 30 minute walk which was fine but we struggled in the heat even in the evenings. We hired a car from reception which was great. I would recommend hiring a car if you want to get out and about as there is a bus stop on the main road but we liked the freedom of jumping in the car when we wanted. We found it easier in the car to get to places we wanted to visit such as tomb of kings, Latchi, Aphrodite rock etc. If you can tolerate driving in the UK you will be absolutely fine in Cyprus. All in all beautiful accommodation, perfect for our family and we enjoyed our stay
Spotlessly clean. Super friendly staff. Large apartments. Loads of sunbeds. Things for the kids to do all day. Close to Pathos centre 10 mins walk. Fantastic place.
Avanti holiday village is a 2-3 star at best and not the 4 star that is advertised. It's a highly populated apartment village with very little privacy - well maintained gardens - average levels of cleanliness and an adequately stocked kitchen to make simple breakfasts and very simple evening meals. The apartment is extremely basic - no frills and it's in need of a refresh, think back to a holiday you took in 1995 and you will imagine the bathroom it's extremely basic. The plus sides the aircon was 10/10 in the humidity of August in Cyprus it was fridge like to the point you looked forward to it and the quality of the beds and bedding was also good considering the simplicity of everything else. It's a cost effective base to explore paphos and the surrounding areas nothing more - if you are looking for more than that I would shop around.
