Our second stay at this excellent hotel. Highly recommended. Great location, lovely half hour stroll down the sea front to the harbour and Old Town a short taxi ride away. Breakfast is lovely, plenty of choice. Pool bar is also excellent. Special mention to the ladies on reception once again, in particular Angela, who is extremely helpful.
Just returned after a 11 night stay at the Avanti Hotel. As other reviews state the staff really make this place great. Angela on reception was warm and welcoming , maids do a fantastic job and all the bar staff are friendly and accommodating. Sasha in particular made my 40th birthday! A great location for families with the bus stop outside and a few restaurants and bars. However close enough to venture out to the Harbour . A really lovely holiday....thank you to all the staff
We ended up booking this hotel last minute after another holiday was cancelled. Overall, we had a nice family holiday, but there were a few things that let the hotel down.
On the positive side, the hotel was very clean, and the staff were lovely, especially the cleaners, who did a fantastic job and Christina in the kids club was also great.
The location was good, with the harbour, restaurants, food and drinks around a 20–30 minute walk away and many other food and drinks options on your doorstep.
At lunchtime, there was only one person cooking for the whole hotel at the pool bar (the only place that serves lunch), so I would recommend eating very early or going elsewhere for lunch.
On our first night, one of the adults in our party was expected to sleep on a child’s camp bed. We asked several times if another bed could be brought in or if we could move rooms, as this was not how we expected the room to be set up. Unfortunately, this wasn’t handled particularly well by the lady on reception.
The jacuzzi also had no water in it during our stay. The Wi-Fi was also very poor, which could be an issue if you need it.
If you are travelling with a baby or young children, I would recommend asking for a room around the back of the hotel. The evening entertainment goes on until around 11 pm, and the noise made it difficult for my baby to get to sleep.
Overall, it was an okay hotel and we still had a nice family holiday, but due to the issues we experienced, unfortunately, I wouldn’t return.
This was our 2nd time at Avanti Hotel as a family as we had a fantastic holiday last year and could not wait to come back this year. Location is excellent there are plenty of restaurants and bars, close to waterpark, 18 hole golf course, only 10mins walk to paphos harbour or you can get a bus just outside the hotel. Excellent taxi service which we used alot. Also 10mins away in a taxi is the shopping mall. The hotel itself is immaculate cleaned everywhere every day both inside and outside. The cleaners do a Fantastic job 👏 they work very hard and are all lovely people. They take pride in there work. The Bar staff as well are all lovely people they make you feel very welcome and have always got time for a chat. I would like to say a massive thank you to Sylvia behind the bar who came to my rescue regarding my nails a fantastic job also got a tattoo done as well. I think she should do this at the hotel as she would bring alot of custom to the hotel. Also the restaurant staff are fantastic nothing is to much trouble for them work very hard. Excellent choice of food and drinks for adults and kids 👌 Also the grounds of the hotel are kept beautifully clean and tidy always looks lovely. Well done.
We would also like to say a massive thank you to all the reception staff always excellent customer service given by all and very professional Angela always makes us laugh she is great. Again if you do have a problem it is sorted very quickly. Also we would like to say a massive thank you to Zoe who was able to give us the same room as last year. Zoe is very friendly and a lovely person and very professional and will help you in anyway she can. Cant wait to go back to Avanti Hotel. AGAIN A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE AT AVANTI HOTEL FOR ALL THERE KINDNESS AND HARD WORK THAT THEY PUT IN THE BAKER FAMILY LINDA RICHY & RICHIE.
The staff at this hotel are one of the reasons I would not hesitate to book again to stay here if we return to Paphos. We returned this year after having such a great holiday last year, and this year was even better. Angela and Zoe are amazing receptionists and were our best friends for the week, not only were they so helpful recommending places to go and how to get there, they went above and beyond helping us locate and get our lost luggage back. Valentino at the pool bar recognised us from our previous visit. He kept the pool bar so clean and tidy and was always happy. We also enjoyed participating in the daytime activities especially French boules with Khalid. We always managed to get a sunbed morning or afternoon even though it was the first week of the school holidays. There are lots of nice restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the hotel. Ficardo was probably one of my favourite restaurants near the hotel. There are Bus stops at the front and rear of the hotel - and buses are every 20 mins to harbour or tomb of the kings although I enjoyed walking and always felt safe. We were surprised when we first visited how many people told us how many times they had been previously. After visiting twice I am already dreaming of revisiting although as a couple in our 50s will probably book term time for a more adult vibe.
