Alexander The Great Beach

We really needed a great break after a traumatic year and this hotel provided it. Really cant fault it. Great hotel and fantastic hotel staff . Love the concept of booking a sun-bed, it really does take a load of stress off (had a horrible experience at the Avanti where all the beds were reserved by 630). People moaning because they cant get the exact bed they want really need to stop being so precious .

Wr are not normally half board but took it this time due a very. offer from Jet2. Glad we did as food was very good in the main restaurant and the Garibaldi and pan Asian Ala carte restaurants which were exceptional , didnt get time to do the Greek one Im afraid but will definitely use it next time. One thing that impressed me was receiving a note from the main desk saying that as we arrived late and missed our meal on the first night, they would supply a voucher for another meal. Never had this at any other hotel and always had to ask in a similar situation.

Nice touch that we were able to book a courtesy room for 30 minutes due to a late departure .

If I had one complaint it’s that the indoor pool is not adults only and inflatable free. Especially as it is next to the adult only spa area.

Fantastic experience. Good food, well located for the harbour area and some excellent staff. Always helpful, especially Annemarie ans Antonia and Jordan. Would definitely return.

Such a fabulous holiday at this hotel with my family. We asked for rooms next to each other by email and it was done!! Also was able to prebook our dining before arrival. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Special mention to Joanna at the pool bar, the guys who went pit of their way to make sure we could move to sunbeds near the pool and also to the fabulous restaurant manager. Food was fabulous. We had pool bar lunches and my son said it was the best club sandwich he had ever had. The Asian restaurant is amazing!!! Poolside service is great for drinks etc. we always loved going to the pool bar at 5pm for happy hour drinks overlooking the sea. A lovely 15 minute stroll into paphos harbour meant we could enjoy the town without having to get taxis. There is a great watersport place 5 minutes walk and we had jet skis and one of those big sofa rides.
Lastly - the sunbed allocation is a deal breaker!!! We were able to lie in until 9am every morning knowing we had sunbeds by the pool. Thank you to everyone at the Alexander the Great for a memorable stay.
