Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Arrived late evening and was greeted by a friendly gentleman who took us to our room and carried our cases up the stairs. After reading some of the reviews i was dreading my stay but was pleasantly surprised with our studio room. Was spacious and clean with a big balcony. We paid to keep a room on the day we was leaving as had a late flight. They had to move us to another room as our room had been allocated to the next guests. They put us in a apartment which was definitely not up to the standard of the studio. Curtains hanging off, fridge not working and plug sockets, was old and dated, definitely would have checked straight out if that had been ours for the stay. Pool area lovely and clean and no sun bed wars. Staff friendly but the down side was no air con unless you paid and only had WiFi if you was down near reception
My husband is disabled and we requested a low‑floor room — couldn’t have been happier. The beds were really comfy, and although we stayed in a studio this time, we’d definitely go self‑catering next time. The pool is clean and the sunbeds are fine. There’s a bar right next to the apartments with excellent entertainment — two acts every night — and Adam the DJ plays brilliant music. Food is available throughout the day, and the Eggs Benedict is absolutely to die for.I’m definitely coming back. Staff friendly always wanting to help. Loved our stay
1st Con's :- We arrived at around midnight and was given room 1121, when we open the door the smell of damp was really really bad. So we went to the reception early next morning and was helped by a lovely lady who gave us room 120 which was really nice.
2nd Pro's All the staff who work here are so had working from the bar staff, restaurant staff and house keeping to make your stay a good one. The bar is very lively with great entertainment and with a kids area.The pool was small but really chilled and The restaurant food was amazing and the portions sizes they give WOW HUGE. All in all we really enjoyed our stay at The Windmills and we will return in the future.

Arrived late and shown to the room , very close to the bar which place music till 2am everyday, so not much chance of any sleep till then , you have to pay 10 euros a day for air con, which I paid when I realised the room were like a sauna, but went off at 11am the next day, so went to reception to ask why as only paid at 1am that day and they said its goes off at 11am and not interested that i only paid at 1am, the room i had was very basic and dark as poor lightning as couldnt open the curtains, with it been on the ground floor as everyone walking past can see in, had cockroaches in it,shower so small and no shower gels, so I spent most off the time out of the room as very depressing room. The bar staff were all polite and friendly and breakfast was very good, and as a music / sports bar is good , so did stay to watch the 2 live acts they have every night, as could hear it in my room , I might aswell stay and watch it . Good location 5 mins walk from a quiet beach All the negative reviews cant be wrong , so would think seriously about stopping here .
