The Blue Ivy Hotel And Suites

Me and my husband have just returned from an amazing 10 day holiday at the Blue Ivy Hotel in Protaris (Cyprus).It’s been our 2nd time there and have rebooked for next year. Nicos the general manager is absolutely fabulous,welcoming each and every guest in person ,he takes time to speak to you to ensure all is fine with your stay and he alwsys has an open door if you need to speak to him.He has trained each and every member of his staff to the highest ,they are all so professional,friendly and nothing is too much trouble.Hotel rooms are spotless getting cleaned every day to a great standard. (Our room was 420),we had an amazing view too.Eleni who is manager of house keeping is a tremendous lady,her service is brilliant.Reception staff are amazing ,special mention to Andrea who is a beautiful and professional lady.Carolina on pool bar is a gem too.Each member of staff go above and beyond for their guests.This hotel is a 4 star rating ,I would give it a 5 star +.We stay bed and breakfast ,the food is the best I have ever had in any hotel I have stayed in.Nicos gave us a food voucher during our stay and we had an amazing meal in the restaurant and on leaving he gave us another voucher to use too. I have never stayed in a hotel as beautiful as The Blue Ivy.If you are looking for a holiday in protaris look no further than this amazing hotel,I highly recommend it,it has to be the top hotel on the island.Every member of staff go above and beyond for every guest. This hotel is our go to place now for the future.Fantastic location,beach and strip a few minutes walk,plenty to keep you entertained ,great bars/restaurants. Where to start about this hotel! What a fantastic place to stay. Staff in the Blue Ivy are like nothing I have experienced before. They are happy, enthusiastic, always smiling and happy to help. You can always tell with staff, how genuine they are, when management enters the room. At the Blue Ivy, nothing changes, no trying to look busy (because they are genuinely always busy), no sign of phones being put down etc. They are attentive, positive, and are like it all day long. Nicos, the hotel manager really appreciates the hard work from his staff team, and it shows. He also meets and greets all guests and holds an open door policy at the hotel, where guests can approach him whenever they need help with anything. Manilos, Restaurant Manager. What a star! My favourite person in the whole of Cyprus. So welcoming and friendly. I love him :)

So, onto the food and drink. Stunning, very well done and not repetitive. 7 themed nights per week at the dinner buffet with tons of choice, delicious salads, meats, fish, seafood, pasta, rice, vegetables and a lovely dessert section - alongside a couple of lovely live cooking stations. The Indian, Oriental/Asian nights are fabulous, but all the themes are great. An a la carte lunch, which runs for most of the afternoon and offers an extensive menu (recommend the chicken wrap and the jumbo pork chop which is like half a pig), and a lovely extensive breakfast choice each day. All drinks are local or premium, so plenty of choice there too, both at the pool bar and the evening bar. Lovely, real authentic cocktails. Named brands, like Peroni, Corona, Stella, Summersby Apple Cider, Kopparberg, Jack Daniels, Smirnoff, Gordons, Captain Morgan and many, many more. The restaurant is large and comfortable with air conditioning inside, but there is a lovely outside seating area also. The indoor bar has three sitting areas inside and a massive outdoor lounge terrace.

Pool areas. Two lovely pool areas. One main one for adults only and one plunge pool with a small attached pool for the little people. Lots of sunbeds, which are first come first served, but it's great they they do not allow anyone to reserve beds until the pool opens at 8.00 am.

Rooms. We stayed in a Junior suite which was spacious, immaculately clean and very comfortable. Lovely large bed, well equipped bathroom with walk in shower, toilet and basin and plenty of room to store toiletries. Towels and bed changed daily.

The hotel also has spa treatments and a well equipped, air conditioned gym.

All inclusive ends at noon on the day of checkout, but they supply vouchers for lunch and drinks if required on your last day. Excellent.

Personal touches and service. This is where the Blue Ivy comes into it's own. Every guest is treated on a personal, friendly level. There is a meet and greet to meet the staff team every Thursday where Nicos introduces his management team, and various members of staff, and tells guests a little about them and how proud he is of the way they take care of his guests. Prepare to be greeted personally when you enter the restaurant, and we will never forget the little housekeeping cards and cookies brought to our room each evening, to wish us a good night's sleep.

We were astounded to discover how many guests that we met, are returning guests, some have been going to the Blue Ivy for more than 5 years, and we saw many people booking for 2027, as they were checking out.

We will definitely be going back to Blue Ivy, no other hotel can cut it after our visit.
