The friendly, family-run Sweet Memories Hotel Apartments is ideally located on Protaras' main road, perfect for exploring the area. The resort center and Protaras' famous sandy beaches are just a short walk away. A spacious sun terrace with comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas surrounds a large swimming pool and a separate children's splash pool, creating an ideal setting for relaxation. The hotel also features a delightful garden and a mini-market stocked with holiday essentials. Sweet Memories Hotel Apartments offers both self-catering and bed and breakfast accommodations. A bus stop and Profitis Elias Church, a small stone church with scenic water views, are just a few meters away.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Stayed here for a couple of nights and to be blunt, the room was awful. The room was so dated. The bath was filthy and also used a shower curtain rather than a screen (no amenities offered in the rooms such as shower gel). Water pressure of the shower was practically none existent. The air conditioning unit was so old it sounded like it was about to take off so you either had it on and couldn’t sleep due to the noise or kept it off and it was too humid (understand the heat can’t be helped but this needs updated). Couldn’t open the window in the room. The fridge made a constant racket throughout the night as well. If you didn’t lock the door immediately it would pretty much blow open. Only gave one extra pillow in the room and not 2 but the pillows were flat at best
After speaking with who we was travelling with who was here last year, it looks like a case of these rooms not being updated as the room they had last year was much better and nicer.
That’s the negatives but some positives below The actual hotel it’s self is quite small, family friendly. Nice pool area. Staff are really nice. Shop across the road to get everything you need or the hotel sells snacks etc. easy 20 minute walk to the strip.
Avoid Sweet Memories Standard Apartments. The AC is ancient, barely works, and sounds like a tractor. No remote control, no way to change the temperature, nothing. The staff didn’t care at all — just kept repeating that the place was fully booked and they had no remotes. They told me to come back at 17:00 to speak to the manager, and when I did, I was shouted at instead of helped. I’ve never been treated so poorly as a paying guest. Absolutely terrible experience.
After putting a request on our booking form which the manager said they had took note of we were put in a room 3 floors up with no lift, we are 2 75 year old pensioners, the stairs were very narrow and cracked in places, first afternoon the bathroom flooded from a new AC when someone looked in the ceiling space dead roaches fell out. The rooms were dirty muck piled up behind bathroom door. Gaps in ceiling where the new AC was fitted and gaps above the headboard, outside the banisters which you needed to get up and down the stairs were full of bird droppings. The block was situated at the back side right by the bins. The pool closes at 5 o clock and the beds are filthy again with bird droppings the pool area was not brushed or hosed down as there was a veruca plaster under the sun lounger all week. Never go there again not recommend
1/5 Stars – Terrible Stay Very disappointing experience. The room had cockroaches, the air conditioning and electricity/lights were barely working, and it was extremely noisy every night. I did not enjoy my time here and would not recommend this place to anyone.
i booked last minute , 1 day before, due to family making a surprise visit.they were in a big modern hotel but rooms were too small for me to sleep on the sofa. i was really lucky to find anything at the beginning of august ! the reviews i read after booking were very mixed, so i arrived not sure what to expect. i have lived in Paphos for 20 years and work as a plumber . i found the apartment to be very traditional Cyprus construction ,so maybe not quite what some would expect , if you want 2 year old super modern then goto to a 250euro a night hotel , there are loads of them ! no ,sweet memories comes over as a nice family run bussiness , it was CLEAN , basic and functional and BIG . my apartment , had a lounge / kitchen corner about 3m x 8m , bathroom with bath/shower/ toilet , very clean , 4 towels and floor towel , bedroom had 2 single beds was about 3m x 5m . the apartment was excellent value for money at 70 euro a night . it was a ground floor apartment at the back of the complex, it backed onto the fields which was nice, there is a rough access road with parking , so i was able to park right outside my door which gave it a very cozy feeling. i have a bad leg so ground floor was also good. it is not a big complex with pool in the centre so nothing is far away. pool is in shade until about 9.00am and from about 4.00pm so there is nice quiet swimming time twice a day if thats what you like. cyprus breakfast with latte was 12 euro and very good. staff were relaxed and friendly. a/c worked in lounge but not in bedroom , before i could ask ,a repair man was there fixing it , it could not be fixed so they fitted new unit next evening. manager appologized for inconvenience . not a big problem as lounge ac was strong enough to keep bedroom coolish . overall it is a quiet and friendly place and priced for those on a budget. it is on Kavo-Greko which is the main street through Protaras so whilst well connected to everything it is busy so maybe a bit noisey at the front , but windows appeared good quality so maybe not but if you want quiet you dont go to the middle of things . i know nothing of hotel stars so cant rate , but i would come here again for a self catering vacation .
