The hotel is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of Protaras, in sub resort of Pernera, within walking distance from Marlita a small public beach.
The air-conditioned hotel comprises 137 rooms. Facilities include a lobby, 24-hour reception, currency exchange facility, café, bar, games area, TV room, restaurant, pool bar, lagoon type freshwater swimming pool, children's separate pool, tennis court, volleyball court, sauna, gym room, and squash room.
All rooms are fully air-conditioned with direct dial telephone, radio, 22" LCD TV with satellite reception, hairdryer, bath/shower, safe box at extra charge, mini fridge, tea & coffee facilities, and balcony.
Guests may take advantage of the weekly entertainment and activity programme (including live music). There is also a programme for children. An outdoor swimming pool with a children's pool, poolside snack bar, and sun loungers and parasols, as well as a sauna, steam room, massage treatments, tennis, table tennis, gym facilities, pool/snooker, darts, and rowing, are all available.
The hotel offers a lot of indoor and outdoor restaurants and bars serving European and Cypriot cuisine and specialties. There are also different buffet nights.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Firstly perfect location everything within walking distance ( unless you have mobility problems. But saying that im sure you could hire a mobility scooter)
First impressions welcoming, friendly and clean.
Rooms.. we was at the pool side lovely view.
Rooms was cleaned daily towels changed ever couple of days .
Downside very low hanging rail so cant hang long dresses not much storage at all
Food ... certainly enough to chose from you wont go hungry and its warm as well .
Drinks ...great selection but will make you up something on your request.
Soft drinks got to much syrup in.
Pool area ... Plenty of sunbeds , music playing ( same everyday )
Its very clean you can purchase pool towels for 10 euros .
Entertainment... same old like lots .. Karaoke, parrot show , magic act , Cypriot dancing.
Not my favorite but can go out to other places as not far.
This hotel was very good value for money .
I would definitely go back again .
The staff are so so friendly cant do enough for you.
One of the best hotels I've been to so far...good value for money...you can never go hungry food and snacks and drinks are always available...my husband really enjoyed his birthday 🎂...lovely stuff and very clean rooms...
Fantastic Fantastic Holiday at the Papouis Hotel Cyprus. Staff are very very friendly and Hotel is amazing. Food is 1st class and lots of choice. Drinks are amazing and very big cocktail list and wide variety of drinks. Service is excellent and all the staff there are amazing and so friendly. A big thank you to Akhtar from 'The Traffic Light Man'. Akhtar is fabulous and became a friend immediately. Try the Traffic Light Cocktail - It is so nice. A big thank you to all the staff at the Papouis Hotel all amazing and gave us a brilliant holiday.
This hotel should have you queuing up to rebook, but we definitely won’t and i completely understand for some our likes / dislikes are different for others. There is so much good about the hotel, but the downsides outweigh the positives. Firstly the positives. The hotel was completely refurbished in 2023 and it is lovely, bedrooms and bathrooms very well done, the bedroom was a nice size for two but I wouldn’t want to be sharing with anymore than two, even children. The pool area is great, quite compact for the number of guests. The staff are the star of the hotel, mostly Nepalese, completely delightful, hard working and totally customer focused. They are all excellent but special mention from us for Bikram and especially Raj, thank you both. The food was great, huge choice at breakfast and plenty of choice at other meals, the curries are amazing! Now the not so good. There were a lot of children both school age and pre school in mid September. There are no non smoking communal areas apart from the indoor restaurant, we tried to find places to sit where we weren’t covered in smoke or vape, but was almost impossible. This was true around the pool during the day and beside the bar / entertainment area in the evening. People even vaped on inflatables in the pool! This could easily be resolved by having dedicated non smoking areas. This was a common issue amongst other non smokers we spoke to during our stay. There was a percentage of people who it appeared had the sole aim to drink from morning to night, not unusual for an all inclusive but this did lead to some loud, rowdy and inappropriate behaviour at times, not something I think anyone on holiday should have to tolerate, let alone with children around. The music played is loud / unbearably loud at times, even headphones don’t block it out. I noticed whilst sitting by the pool they were playing a playlist from the New York Drill scene (see ‘Pop Smoke’ by Dior as an example of what was being played) the music is Racist, Sexist and Homophobic. I reported this to our TUI rep. We were out of the hotel for the next 2 days and were shocked to find they were still playing the same playlist 3 days later. I informed the bar staff who said they would change it but just skipped the song, I then collared another and explained how seriously inappropriate this music was especially with children around, I asked if he could get it changed and get a manager to see me so I could explain. He did get it changed, but no manager came. The same music was played day after day too with little variation. Hopefully the hotel will look at this and make someone responsible for what is being played. The hotel management should be more visible, engage with your customers, walk around the pool and bar areas, you might have better control over what happens.
We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel and honestly couldn’t have asked for more! From the moment we arrived, everything was excellent.
The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The food was delicious, and the buffet offered a fantastic variety of dishes, with plenty of options to choose from. We really enjoyed every meal!
The staff deserve a special mention — everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Their warm smiles and excellent service made us feel truly looked after throughout our stay.
Overall, we were extremely happy with our experience and would definitely come back again. A big thank you to the whole team for making our stay so enjoyable! Highly recommended! ❤️
