Everything was perfect! The food was delicious, the water park and all the facilities were excellent, and the staff were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. There was entertainment for the children from morning until night, and our kids enjoyed it so much.
A special thank you and congratulations to Mr. Nicos, the Manager, and Mr. Savvas, the Director. They were extremely helpful, polite, and professional throughout our stay. They are both doing an excellent job and work together to make the hotel a wonderful place for guests!!
Just arrived home from a 10 day stay with our son, partner and grandchildren aged 5 and 12. I would never give a bad hotel review but this is the worst hotel I have stayed in since I started travelling over 40 years ago. We travel to Cyprus 3/4 times a year.
Very isolated however local buses good, absolutely nothing outside the hotel, which we knew when we booked.
Check in , no help giving directions to the room. Pay a 10 euro deposit for a second card key. Never ever done this in Cyprus.
Reception staff absolutely shocking. Electric went off (like being in Spanish hotel in the 80's). 11.15pm arrive back at our room, walk in, no lights. Head off to reception, the guy very begrudgingly comes to the room to sort it out. Eventually fall off to sleep to be woken at 1.45am with kids running around the block and realise the air con unit not on, went back to reception at 2.00am for the miserable guy to come and sort it out only to be told I'm plugging to much in and burning the electric, nothing was on apart from the air con unit π‘ maintenance will come and look in the morning and not to plug anything in, unbelievable, which he did and it was ok however never used my travel hairdryer or straighteners after that because it could have been them earlier the evening before however in this day and age really. After a week then 2nd card key stopped working, went to reception to be told it had been deactivated by my phone, they reactivated it, but took no responsibility they seem deflect everything on to the guest. Definitely need customer service training.
Room we was in the block by the waterpark, kids running around outside past our doors, shouting, screaming at 1.00/2.00am. Very very basic room. Towel change most days, cleaning very ropey, smell of sewers constantly. Hairdryer absolutely crap, bring your own, dated back to the 80's. But you might trip the electric
Bar staff lovely, alcohol content, zero, a vodka was poured for me and it wasn't even a UK measure and when I asked the young girl to stop the coke, she wasn't happy because they fill the coke to the top, I also think it depends on who is serving you, but service not consistent. Entertainment staff good but hey that is what they are paid to do
Food, well you are winning if you get a clean coffee cup and glass in the morning. There will always be something to eat, very luke warm, do not replenish quickly enough including plates and cutlery. The buffet service restaurants need signs for adults to accompany children to the buffet service. On 2 occasions we watched a child lick 2 bread rolls and put them back in the breadbox, another a boy got the whole french stick and took it to the table only for mum to bring back π€¦ I know the hotel cannot be responsible for this however measures can be put in place, plenty of staff hanging around doing nothing. We did go and eat out in Aiya Napa and Protarus a few times. Food very tasteless, not the AI which we go for. Lunch always better than dinner, we have ate out quite a few times. People's perception of quality and quantity are always different, this is the worst AI we have ever been in Cyprus. Nowhere to sit for a pre drink after showering and changing, outside bar space very limited, inside bar very limited. Dirty sunbeds to sit on if you want to π‘. Amphitheatre the most uncomfortable place to sit for hours and your winning if you don't wear a drink, best thing to do if a group of you sit behind each other in your group. Cleanliness hmm, again perception and views always different, to me this needs a lot of re thinking, more bins, more staff doing hourly checks etc Sunbeds, rickety old metal, very uncomfortable, quashed together and yes need to be early to catch the lark, this suits me because so quiet and peaceful. Seen lots of arguments over beds, floats, towels very entertaining Had we read a review like this in April 2025 when we booked this holiday we would never had booked, then kept reading reviews and wondered if to change resort and decided to come with an open mind, however best thing that can happen they close for a year, bring it up to date and start again. Again people's expectations are always different, mine I would not re visit if this was the only hotel left in Cyprus.
Where do I start.. NEVER AGAIN! First time in Cyprus and was really looking forward it as I had a few friends who have been and loved it. However we arrived at 10.30pm, check in and went to our room put the cases in and headed to the bar. We got a drink and was looking for a table to sit and enjoy drink to told there don't have sitting area and the entertainment was finished and we have to buy our drinks as all inclusive stops at 11pm, I never known anything like it everywhere I have been before the bar is 24/7. Then the safe was not working so we went to reception and the maintenance staff come up, very rude saying we broken it and he will have restart it. Then told us off for having air con on! The room was very basic, towel were not change regularly we went and ask for new towels to be told they do not have any. The beds were very uncomfortable as well as the sun beds were uncomfortable too. The entertainment was not very good either, Amphitheatre the most uncomfortable place to sit for hours and a few times the people drinks were drops and dripping down and you ended up wearing someone else drink. I honestly can not believe there was table and chair to sit and watch the entertainment. Also the FOOD! was shocking, it was the same stuff everyday, dinner time was better than evening food. the snack bar was awful too, everyday was chicken nugget and chips, pasta, toasties, even then it was just warm not hot. We ended up going in to Protaras every night for food and entertainment as it was just unbearable. We ended up having to spend so much money leaving the hotel to have better hoilday after paying Β£3,000 for 2 adults and a child is digusting. Nothing outside the hotel too, so it meant you would get local buses to either Protaras or Aiya Napa.
Only good thing about this hotel was the water slides for my little girl and the balcony was really big and had sun beds on it.
Finally, would never visit this hotel again, really wouldn't recommend it.
Lovely hotel - it is a real shame about the staff (reservation manager and reception staff in particular), cleanliness, and room issues.
We had a fantastic stay at Narkissos Waterpark Resort and were very impressed with the overall experience. The rooms were large, comfortable, and exceptionally clean, making it easy to relax and feel at home.
The swimming pool area was excellent and provided a great place to unwind and enjoy the holiday. Another highlight was the breakfast buffet, which offered a fantastic variety of fresh and tasty options. There was something for everyone, and it was a great way to start each morning.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Narkissos Waterpark Resort to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable hotel experience. We would definitely consider staying here again!
