Very disappointing — misleading sea view, an unacceptable “solution” and extremely poor management
We paid approximately €2,300 for 6 nights at Crecian Park Hotel, expecting the level of service appropriate for a 5-star hotel. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing.
The room was sold as having a sea view, but the actual view was largely obstructed by another building. We raised this issue with the hotel and expected management to offer a reasonable solution. Instead, the room change was refused.
As a proposed solution, management offered to replace our already-paid dinner in the main restaurant with dinner at the à la carte Japanese restaurant, assuring us that all food would be covered. We accepted this solution in good faith.
However, once we arrived at the Japanese restaurant, we discovered that we were given a special restricted menu that was clearly inferior in both choice and quality to the dinner we had originally paid for in the main restaurant.
This meant that the hotel’s proposed “solution” did not actually compensate us for the original problem. Instead, we were effectively given a downgrade in our dining experience. Rather than receiving an equivalent or better service as compensation, we ended up with a more limited and lower-quality meal.
After experiencing this, we raised our concerns directly with the General Manager. Unfortunately, his response was completely unacceptable. Instead of listening to our complaint and allowing us to explain what had happened, he started shouting at me, repeatedly interrupting me and not allowing me to finish speaking. This happened in the presence of my 8-year-old son.
The conversation lasted approximately three minutes. I eventually told the General Manager that I found his manner of communication completely unacceptable. At that point, the conversation ended.
This is particularly disappointing for a hotel of this category. A guest should be able to raise a legitimate complaint with the General Manager without being shouted at or repeatedly interrupted — and certainly not in front of a child.
The issue was therefore not simply the obstructed sea view. It was the combination of an inadequate room, an inappropriate “compensation” that resulted in a downgrade of our dining experience, and an extremely unprofessional response from the General Manager when we complained about it.
A genuine solution should leave the guest no worse off than under the original booking. Unfortunately, that was not our experience at Crecian Park.
The hotel has a beautiful location and good facilities, but good facilities cannot compensate for poor management and the way guests are treated when something goes wrong.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again.

August is a hot month, and the hotel is full of guests. Despite this, the service at reception, in the restaurant at breakfast, and the room cleaning are very good. The staff is very friendly. There are many families with children. The sea is warm and quite clean. You have to go down the stairs to get to the beach, or a shuttle is offered for hotel guests. The beach is apparently shared by hotel guests and visitors and is poorly maintained. The location is very picturesque, and the panoramic view of Konnos Bay from the rooms is magnificent.
Lovely hotel
The location is beautiful, with gorgeous views over the sea. The bay is perfect for swimming and we enjoyed the walk down and lunches at the cafe under the pines. The pool is also a real joy and never felt crowded.
The hotel has a warm ambience with hospitable staff, and our kids spent many happy hours in the kids room, where Gloria accommodated several, increasingly ambitious (!), face/arm painting requests.
Breakfasts are a delight. We also particularly enjoyed our dinners at the rooftop Japanese restaurant, Umi, which has lovely food, welcoming staff, and overall a very special atmosphere. We also enjoyed Spartiatis taverna (next door) and the hotel's Italian restaurant, as well as venturing further afield (we had a car but there seem to be very frequent buses).

An Outstanding Stay at Grecian Park – A Hotel with Exceptional Staff
Our family of four recently stayed at Grecian Park Hotel, and from the moment we arrived until the day we left, we felt genuinely welcomed.
One thing stands out above everything else: the people. Every single member of staff we encountered was warm, smiling, professional and genuinely eager to help. Whether it was the reception team, the porters, the café staff in the lobby, the jewellery shop assistant, the pool attendants, the housekeeping team, the restaurant staff or the maintenance crew, everyone made us feel valued as guests.
A special thank you goes to Barbara, whose service was truly exceptional. She went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible stay. She is a real asset to the hotel.
We would also like to mention the lovely young blonde girl working at the ice cream bar. She was always smiling, incredibly kind and wonderful with guests. Small moments like these make a holiday memorable.
The pool area was clean, well maintained and relaxing. We loved being able to order food and drinks directly from our sunbeds using the QR code, with quick and friendly service every time. The steps leading directly down to the beach were another feature we really appreciated.
One absolute highlight was the Cliff Bar. The views over the Mediterranean are breathtaking, the atmosphere is magical and the cocktails are among the best we have ever had. The young bartender with blond hair made an outstanding Espresso Martini, and every drink we tried was beautifully prepared. This is a place we would recommend to everyone visiting the hotel.
We chose the breakfast buffet, and it exceeded our expectations. The selection was extensive, with fresh fruit, breads, pastries, cheeses, cold cuts, fish, eggs, freshly squeezed juices and excellent coffee. Everything was fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. The restaurant staff worked incredibly hard throughout breakfast service.
Our rooms had beautiful views, comfortable beds and excellent air conditioning. Room service was quick, and whenever we contacted reception with a question or a small issue, someone responded immediately. That level of service deserves recognition.
The hotel also deserves praise for its peaceful atmosphere. Despite welcoming many families, it never felt noisy. There was pleasant background music in the elevators, but thankfully no loud music around the pool, making it easy to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Like any hotel, there are a few areas that could be improved. Some parts of the rooms are beginning to show their age, and a few maintenance issues—such as worn fixtures and lighting—would benefit from attention. Adding air conditioning to the elevators would also make a noticeable difference during the hot summer months. These are relatively small details, but they would help the hotel fully live up to its five-star standard.
One final suggestion concerns the breakfast restaurant. During busy periods, the staff worked extremely hard clearing tables. We believe introducing service trolleys or a clearly designated area where guests who wish to do so can place used dishes would make the process much more efficient and ease the workload for the staff.
Overall, we had a wonderful holiday and created memories that our family will cherish. The genuine hospitality of the staff is what makes Grecian Park truly special, and it is the reason we would happily recommend this hotel to others.
