Just a great experience in this beutifully clean hotel, with marvellous staff ( thank you Elvira and Antinia) , great restaurants and cosy bars. Faultless.
Second time at the Grecian Park hotel and exactly the same experience. It’s a great hotel, with excellent staff from the reception to the bars and restaurants and the cleaners. All of whom seem genuinely pleased to see you.
The breakfasts are superb, catering to all tastes, with an huge variety of cold and hot food, and it’s very easy to over-eat! Like most places out of the UK, don’t expect your regular milk, so cups of tea can be disappointing. Food at the pool bar is good, just be aware that there will be ants in abundance and they will find your food very quickly if left at your chairs.
The hotel has its own restaurant as well an onsite Japanese restaurant (excellent food, a little more pricey). Book ahead for a decent table facing the sea. There is also an Italian restaurant - Raviolis - opposite the hotel, which is middle of the road. Large portions but oddly tasting certainly for the spaghetti bolognese and something else pasta based that was equally passable but aLao and unfinished forgettable. I think they need an actual Italian chef there.
The pool is excellent; enough seating for all, by the pool or in the grass overlooking Konnos Bay which is stunning. A relatively small sandy beach mostly taken up by umbrellas and seating. It’s good for swimming and snorkelling, with enough fish to look at - but go early before the tourist boats turn up and drop off a multitude of swimmers in the outer bay, though it is joyful to watch.
You may not want to leave the hotel, and you may not need to. There is also a (lower) cliff bar that does some excellent cocktails - about the same prices as the hotel, with views across the bay (again you may need to plead or wait for a good seat).
If you do leave the hotel you have two choices - neither of which is walkable though with very regular buses - Protaras and Ayia Napa. Closer and to the East is Protaras, which is largely filled with Brits watching football and eating burgers in bars. There is a ‘strip’ that gets crowded at night (we were there in September) and it’s like being in Bournemouth at night. The strip isn’t by the coast btw. Ayia Napa is further to the West and has seen better days, though the harbour area id pretty. Can’t vouch for the nightlife as only a day trip. (The hotel does 3 or 4 free trips daily between the hotel and its sister hotel in AN, which you can also use). In essence the night life is limited - bit least as everything that existed around the hotel has closed down. But if you want a relaxing, sun guaranteed week in Cyprus the Grecian will spoil you.
My home from home. Faultless, as always. I honestly love everything about this hotel, but what makes it truly special are the wonderful people who run it. I think it speaks volumes when you find yourself returning to the same place, at the same time, year after year. It really has become a place that feels like home. A special shout-out to Barbara for organising the pottery classes this year. Her customer service is second to none — nothing is ever too much trouble, and she goes above and beyond to make sure everyone has a lovely experience. Thank you, as always, for making our stay so special.
First time here visiting and the staff were very welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived! The hotel is very clean, comfortable and the location was perfect! Whole experience felt very enjoyable from start to finish. Definitely recommended this hotel as we would happily stay here again. Special shout out to the beautiful lady Barbara for allowing us a later checkout for free as we had an evening flight to catch. Thank you for making this stay special!
