The hotel is situated in Protaras, on the coastline with long sandy beaches and crystalline waters, next to the picturesque fishing harbour. There are a number of shops, taverns, bars and nightspots within walking distance of the property. This beach hotel has 228 spacious, newly renovated and comfortable rooms and suites, which will please even the most demanding taste. Facilities include elegant restaurants offering the finest homemade and international cuisine, as well as outdoor dining on the restaurant terrace, with panoramic views of the sea and the extensive gardens. Room facilities include a private balcony overlooking the coast, a 4-piece marble bathroom and individually controlled air conditioning.
We had a wonderful stay at Golden Coast Beach Hotel and would definitely recommend it, especially for families with children.
The hotel has a beautiful private beach located in a sheltered bay, with calm, shallow waters and hardly any waves — perfect for children and very relaxing for parents. There are also plenty of activities for kids, so there is always something to do.
The food was very good, with a nice variety of options, and we especially loved the long promenade, which is perfect for evening walks and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
One of the highlights of our stay was definitely the spa. It is absolutely wonderful and deserves a special mention. Irena, who gave me a massage, was absolutely fabulous — professional, attentive and incredibly skilled. It was one of the best massages I have had and made the experience even more special.
I would also like to mention Inga at the reception, who was extremely professional, kind and helpful throughout our stay. She really made us feel welcomed and well taken care of.
Overall, Golden Coast Beach Hotel is a beautiful choice for a relaxing family holiday in Cyprus, combining a great beach, good food, activities for children and excellent spa facilities.

I had an absolutely amazing experience! Everything was explained clearly and thoroughly, which made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. The treatment was very helpful, and I’m extremely happy with the care I received. I highly recommend it!
Had a lovely 14 days at this hotel, room spacious and clean, pity the AI did not include drinks in the room fridge. All the staff we came across were lovely,a special mention to the older 2 gentlemen and lady servers in the restaurant at dinner, one who was affectionately known as ',mr mafia' he was an absolute joy, I liked the branded spirits, I enjoyed the chill.out bar and especially the passion fruit mojhito, I was disappointed to find out I was not able to get the same drink at any of the other bars? The food in the restaurant was a little repetitive and sometimes not hot enough, however we never went hungry. I would recommend this hotel for its location and it's lovely staff.
We stayed here for a week from 6th May with my partner and our 3-year-old son, and we had a really lovely stay. We were also lucky enough to have beautiful weather for the whole week, which made the holiday even better.
Transfers
The transfer from the airport to the hotel took approximately 50 minutes, but we only had four drop-offs before arriving at the hotel. On the return journey from the hotel to the airport, it took around 1 hour 30 minutes as there were more pick-ups.
Hotel & Room
The hotel was spotless throughout, and our room was cleaned every day to a very high standard. We stayed in room 421 on the 4th floor and had a beautiful pool and sea view.
The room itself was modern, spacious and very comfortable, with really comfy beds. It also included a mini fridge, free safe, hairdryer, dressing gowns, slippers and a kettle with tea and coffee provided. They even had UK plug sockets, which was a great touch.
There are lots of water dispensers around the hotel, including on each floor. The hotel provided two bottles of water on arrival and advised guests to use these bottles and refill them at the dispensers, which wasn’t a problem at all.
On arrival, you are also given towel cards, which you can use to collect towels for the pool or beach. These can be exchanged daily, which was really convenient.
Pool & Beach
The hotel grounds are beautiful and overlook the sea, with the hotel having its own little cove. The beach is stunning and perfect for relaxing.
One thing worth noting is that the sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach are extra. Sunbeds cost €3.50 each and umbrellas are €3.
The only downside around the pool was that you do need to get up fairly early if you want to secure a sunbed. We found that lots of people were putting towels out early in the morning and then not coming down until around midday, which wasn’t ideal.
Food & Drinks
We were all-inclusive and were pleasantly surprised by the drinks selection, especially as branded spirits were included. They also had soft drinks including Pepsi, Diet Pepsi, Fanta Orange and Sprite.
There was also ice cream available around the pool from the outside bar next to the pool, as well as a little shop inside the hotel.
The food was also very good. At the start of the week, some dishes were slightly cooler than expected, but this improved towards the end of our stay and the food was much hotter.
There was only the main restaurant open while we were there, so unfortunately we can’t comment on what the other restaurants are like when they are open.
In the evening, you can wear shorts in the restaurant, and you can choose to sit either inside or outside.
Staff & Entertainment
All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our holiday and really helped to make our stay enjoyable. The entertainment team were also always lovely and friendly.
During the day, the entertainment included water polo, darts and morning exercise sessions. The kids’ disco started at 8:30pm each evening and lasted around 25 minutes. The same songs were played each night. Evening entertainment then started at 9pm.
There are also cats wandering around the hotel grounds, but they don’t bother you at all.
Weddings
One thing worth mentioning is that the hotel hosts weddings most days, although there weren’t any on the Saturday or Sunday during our stay.
This didn’t cause any issues for us, but there can be some noise in the evenings from the wedding parties. With the balcony doors shut and the air conditioning on, most of the sound was blocked out.
Location
The hotel is in a quieter area, so there isn’t a huge amount nearby. There is a supermarket directly across the road and a nice bar called Road House, which is just a short walk away.
Protaras is around a 40-minute walk from the hotel, either along the seafront or by road. There is also a bus stop about a minute from the hotel. The bus costs €2 each way and takes you into Protaras.
You catch the 102 going into Protaras and the 101 on the way back. The buses run approximately every 15 minutes. A taxi costs around €15.
Overall
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely return in the future. The hotel was beautiful, the staff were lovely, the food was good and the location was perfect for a relaxing holiday. We would happily stay here again.
Great food ,very clean ,fantastic room , the staff were amazing very friendly, nothings was too much trouble for them. Special mention for Mo he gave me the best massage ever I would strongly recommend it money well spent 👍👍👍
